Pinwheels for Hope with Raising Shasta
and families in our community.
April 2026
April is National Child Abuse Prevention Month, a time to raise awareness and stand together in support of children
In recognition of this important month, Redding Rancheria partnered with Raising Shasta to create a powerful visual display at the Win River Mini Mart. A total of 426 pinwheels were placed on the lawn, each one representing a substantiated case of child abuse in Shasta County. This display serves as a meaningful reminder of the challenges many children face and the critical importance of prevention, advocacy, and community support. Raising Shasta & the Redding Rancheria
The pinwheel display will remain in place throughout the month of April, encouraging ongoing awareness and inspiring action across the community. It stands as a symbol of hope and a call to work together to create safer, healthier environments for all children. In addition, Redding Rancheria presented a proclamation to Raising Shasta in support of National Child Abuse Prevention Month, reaffirming a shared commitment to protecting children and strengthening families.
