GALLERIE DELL’ACCADEMIA Campo della Carità, Dorsoduro 1050 Linee 1-2 Actv – Accademia Leonardo Da Vinci. L’uomo universale. Fino al 1 dicembre. 52 disegni di Leonardo (dieci di questi presentati in recto e verso) facenti parte un corpus esposto per l’ultima volta nel 1980, offrono al pubblico un excursus delle tappe della carriera dell’artista fino all’ultimo periodo francese. Il percorso, indicato dai fogli veneziani tra cui quello rappresentante il celeberrimo Uomo Vitruviano, è arricchito e completato da altri prestigiosi disegni di tematica affine e di qualità eccelsa, prestati da importanti musei italiani e stranieri, quali Biblioteca Reale di Torino e il Gabinetto Disegni e Stampe degli Uffizi di Firenze, le collezioni Reali di Windsor Castle, il British Museum di Londra, il Musée du Louvre, l’Ashmolean Museum di Oxford. Until 1 December. 52 drawings by Leonardo (ten of them presented on both sides), part of a collection displayed in 1980 the last time, offering the public an overview of the stages of the artist’s career up to his last French period. The circuit, indicated by the Venetian plates, amongst which is the one depicting the famed Vitruvian Man, is enriched and completed by other prestigious drawings with similar themes and of exceptional quality, on loan from important Italian and foreign museums, such as the Royal Library in Turin and the Drawings and Prints Cabinet at the Uffizi in Florence, the Windsor Castle Royal Collections, the British Museum in London, the Musée du Louvre, the Ashmolean Museum in Oxford. FONDAZIONE QUERINI STAMPALIA S. M. Formosa, Castello 5252 Linea 1-2 Actv Rialto Imago Mundi. Apertura al pubblico fino al 27 ottobre. Un mostra inserita tra gli Eventi collaterali della 55. Esposizione Internazionale d’Arte presenta negli spazi restaurati da Carlo Scarpa, la collezione di quadri che Luciano Benetton ha raccolto o commissionato durante i suoi viaggi in giro per il mondo. La collezione-archivio, vero e proprio “diario di viaggio”, è formato da oltre 700 opere in formato ridotto (10x12 cm.) provenienti da ogni parte del mondo. In questa prima tappa della mostra sono presentati per la prima volta le collezioni raccolte negli Stati Uniti, in Giappone, India, Corea del Sud e Australia (arte aborigena). Si tratta di oltre 200 opere di ciascun Paese, raggruppate sulla base della nazionalità, delle regioni e dei continenti, per presentare la collezione, oltre che per gli intrinsechi significati dei lavori, come il racconto, attraverso il filtro dell’arte, dei viaggi compiuti da Luciano Benetton nel mondo. FONDAZIONE QUERINI STAMPALIA S. M. Formosa, Castello 5252 Actv boat lines 1-2 Rialto Imago Mundi. Open to the public until 27 October. An exhibition set among the collateral Events of the 55th International Art Exhibition, presenting the collection of paintings that Luciano Benetton collected or commissioned during his travels worldwide, in the venues restored by Carlo Scarpa. The collection-archive, a true “travel diary”, is formed by over 700 small sized works (10x12 cm) from every part of the world. In this first stage of the exhibition, the collections gathered in the United States, in Japan, India, South Korea and Australia (aboriginal art) are presented for the first time. It features over 200 works, from every country, grouped according to their nationality, the regions and continents, so as to present the collection as a tale through the filter of art about Luciano Benetton’s travels throughout the world, in addition to the intrinsic significance of its works.
