We are almost to the end of summer.... We are in the midst of completing a lot of projects. Just as an update, here they are:
1.
New Men and Women’s Saunas are being installed at the Richard A. Young Center.
2. The Cement Pad has been installed at Daly Park and the Fitness Court will be installed in the second week of September.
3. The Van Houten Park large play structure is being installed.
4. The New Marquee is being installed at the Canfield Community Center.
5. A Facelift is being done at Weddel Park, with New Playground Pieces, Wear Mats under the Swings, and Blown in Wood Fiber with Border under the Play Structure.
It’s been a strong year with getting things updated, repaired and replaced. I am trying to whatever we can with the funds that are available. There is still a lot more that needs to be done, and we will keep moving forward. We will be working on grants to get the larger priced items done and that is our next stage. I will work hard to keep communicating all of these wonderful happenings to you! It’s our time to SHINE!
Sincerely,
Kimberly S. Sower, MSA, CPRP Director Parks & Recreation
