Activities -It is important that you continue to walk several times a day once you are home. -Avoid lifting anything greater than 5 pounds until 4-6 weeks after surgery. -Avoid driving until you are no longer taking narcotic pain medication. -Once you are free of pain, you may resume normal activities, including sexual intercourse. -Your surgeon will determine when you are able to return to work depending on your recovery and type of work.
