He received the Pepsi Cola franchise for 16 Georgia counties. He placed his bottling plant in his hometown of Newnan, Georgia. Later he began many other businesses including real estate. Eventually, he sold all but one business: the real estate brokerage. Lindsey developed many subdivisions and helped form Shenandoah, an industrial park, as well as a large residential area, in Coweta County, all the while serving in the community in many capacities. He always believed in giving back to his community. His business grew and grew. He was recognized as the man of the Half Century and Man of the Year for Newnan and Coweta County. Lindsey’s sons, Chip and Frank Barron, began working at Lindsey’s at an early age and learned the business from the ground up. Chip became a licensed realtor in 1968 and Frank received his license in 1969. Frank returned to the business after graduation from the University of Georgia. Chip became an attorney practicing law in Newnan after graduating from Emory University and Mercer University School of Law.
