105 Farrell Road, Bulli - sold under the hammer for $528,000 by Ray White Unanderra.

David Greenwood was really excited and happy for the vendor and the purchaser. “To have a result like what we had today was exceptional. We have some really happy vendors and purchasers, and a couple of buyers still in the game for their next home. To achieve the price that we did was not predicted. Market feedback was somewhat lower than what we achieved and it just goes to show the auction process, when done correctly is a great selling campaign. This property had been in the vendor’s family for a very long time, and I bet the vendors loved the Moet afterwards” said David. In Mount Keira, 24 Yates Avenue was also the centre of attention with a crowd of approximately 50 people in attendance to see it sell under the hammer for $745,000.

What started out to be a rainy Saturday morning, by the time that 105 Farrell Road, Bulli was to be placed under the auction spotlight, the rain had cleared bringing a crowd of over thirty parties and five registered bidders. Pressure was once again placed on Ray White Unanderra’s listing agent David Greenwood by auctioneer Ben Mitchell as he had 100% success for the day. Bidding started at $400,000 and rose steadily to $526,000 where the property was called to be “On the Market”. With two further bids and an increase to $528,000, auctioneer Ben Mitchell called the property three times and dropped the hammer!

24 Yates Avenue, Mount Keira - sold under the

hammer by Harcourts Wollongong for $745,000. Harcourts Wollongong’s Greg Chadwick said it was a unique style of property and was well maintained in original 1960’s condition. The land content/size was also unique for the location. The amount of interest in the property was reflected in the 48 groups of people attending the open for inspections during the pre auction campaign.

The only other auction results to hand at the time of going to press were for the MMJ Wollongong Property at 20 Springdale Close, Blackbutt. It sold post auction on the day for an undisclosed price. Bevans Helensburgh - 15 Foster Street, Helensburgh - sold under the hammer for $508,000; One Agency Sally Absolom - 9 Aristo Crescent, Mount Ousley - passed in but sold post auction for $430,000; One Agency Denison Pender Moore - 20 Goodrich Street, Scarborough - sold prior to auction in the first week of the campaign for $675,000.

HARCOURTS NSW MAKES A BIG CHANGE Real estate group, Harcourts New South Wales has made big changes by officially re-branding its Dougmal Harcourts offices to Harcourts earlier this month.
