Pink (in Santa Monica Nov. 11) has joked that Hart is “like a second child.”
BABY NO. 2! Bumping for joy: On November 12, Pink announced that she and husband Carey Hart, 41, are expecting their second child by posting an Instagram shot of their daughter, Willow, 5, cradling Pink’s protruding belly. At nearly seven months, the 37-year-old “Just Like Fire” singer (born Alecia Moore) has put work on hold, pushing a slated fall album and tour to 2017. Still, a pal explains, “she’s writing and recording a bit because she’s so inspired.”
Going on Record Mariah Carey is taking her sorrows to the studio. Since splitting with fiancé James Packer in October, the Grammy winner, 46, “has been putting all her pain into a new album,” says a Carey source. “She wants it to have the big heartbreak ballads she’s famous for.” To help, Carey has enlisted producer Jermaine Dupri, who cohelmed her 2005 smash, The Emancipation of Mimi. Adds the source: “They want to re-create that vibe.”
Carey (in West Hollywood Nov. 6) “wants to duplicate her old success,” says a pal.

Fish lips are not in fashion. Jessica Simpson, 36, hated the look of Restylane injections she got in 2006. “It went away in, like, four months,” the retail mogul said shortly after. “It looked fake to me. I didn’t like that.”

Just days after her fledgling romance with Prince Harry was revealed, the Toronto-based Suits actress quietly booked a first-class flight for a November 5 rendezvous at his Kensington Palace home. (While Harry attended to business, the actress, on hiatus from shooting Suits, left Nott Cott and “went out by herself a few times,” says a source. “She knows her way around by now.”) An admitted homebody and foodie — she launched travel, food, fashion and beauty blog the Tig in 2014 — Markle visited Whole Foods November 10, returning with several bags of groceries. As she told U.K.’s Hello! last year, her perfect night is to “stay in your cosies, have some nice wine, make yourself a nice meal.”
Pippa’s Wedding Will Harry get a plus-one? Royal in-law Middleton plans a backyard affair Nearly 2,000 guests were invited to Duchess Kate’s 2011 wedding to Prince William. Her sister, Pippa Middleton, will settle for about 150 when she weds hedge-fund manager James Matthews, 41, this May. Following a ceremony at St. Mark’s Church in Englefield, England, revelers will return to the sevenbedroom, 18-acre estate of her parents, Carole and Michael, in nearby Bucklebury, a source tells Us. “The reception will be in the garden,” says the source. “The entire grounds will be used.” Another insider adds the 33-year-old cookbook author, engaged since July, is eyeing antique-style ivory floral arrangements: “She wants it to look classic and elegant.”
The duo did venture out together, wandering the grounds of nearby Kensington Gardens one afternoon and dropping by a local spot for dinner. “There are quite a few places in London that no one will see you,” says a source. “Harry’s picked up some tips from William and Kate.” Now that the relationship is public, reasons a second palace source, “they’re not trying to hide.” Still, Harry is being cautious. Both Zimbabwean socialite turned

They are confident enough to be making plans for the future. Though the World Vision global ambassador won’t travel to Sandringham for Queen Elizabeth II’s annual invite-only Christmas fete (Kate didn’t attend until after her 2011 wedding), says a Markle insider, “she and Harry are trying to figure out a way to be together during the holidays.” Before that, the royal — who launched the Invictus Games for wounded veterans in 2014 and cofounded the Sentebale charity to help children affected by AIDS — resolves to get more quality time with his girl. In December, he will whisk her on a romantic getaway. (Us is keeping the location secret for security reasons.) “It will be a one-week trip,” says a source, adding that they will leave sometime after Harry wraps up his 14-day official visit to the Caribbean December 4. “There are just a few details left to finalize.” Harry’s gallantry is making Markle feel like, well, a princess. “It may not seem like they have been together for long, but it’s been very intense,” says a Markle pal. “They’re superserious and can see a long future together.” USM AG A ZIN E.COM

His split from Angelina Jolie has cost Brad Pitt precious time with their six children. In two months, he has barely seen them BY ERIC ANDERSSON

“A family is a risky venture,” Pitt (in L.A. Nov. 9) has said. “The greater the love, the greater the loss.”
rad! Brad! Brad!” the crowd chanted as Mr. Pitt himself posed for selfies. At a November 9 red carpet fan event for his drama Allied, Brad Pitt basked in the adoration of the hundreds who had swarmed L.A.’s Regency Village Theatre. It was his second public appearance since Angelina Jolie filed for divorce and requested sole physical custody of their six children September 19, but Pitt betrayed no hint of pain. “He was sweet,” attendee Avery Black tells Us. “He said he was thankful for the support.” He could use it. An insider says Pitt, 52, has only seen kids Maddox, 15, Pax, 12, Zahara, 11, Shiloh, 10, and 8-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne three times in the past eight weeks. “He’s crushed,” says the insider of the man who once said he was “aiming for a dozen” offspring. His luck, however, may be changing. On November 9, the Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services closed its investigation into a September incident (Pitt allegedly got physical with one of his kids aboard a private plane) and cleared him of wrongdoing. (An FBI file remains open.) Still, for the time being, Pitt has agreed to let the children continue to live with Jolie, 41. A Pitt insider explains he doesn’t want a battle with the actress: “He wants to limit the fighting.”
BRAD THE DAD Prioritizing the kids during this transition is also key. With reporting by Brody Brown & Emily Marcus
“Brad has been deferential on what’s best for them and limits their stress,” says a Pitt insider. To that end, he’s not ready to see them shuttled between households. Says a source, “You don’t just immediately create a new world.” As it is, the Jolie-Pitts have struggled with their new normal. Pitt waited three weeks to see his children while they attended therapy. But during the few brief visits, claims the Jolie source, “the kids didn’t warm up to him.” That’s painful for the hands-on dad. Despite the family’s nomadic lifestyle presplit, Pitt strived to make each house, well, a home. At their L.A.-area pad, he built a skate park for his homeschooled kids “and would get out and ride bikes with them,” says a source who worked with the family. For a move to London last spring, Pitt and Jolie picked “a super–kid-friendly”
mansion with a pool and playground, says a source. Life with them was “total chaos,” Pitt said in 2015, “but so much fun.” While Pitt looks to recapture that rapport, he’s remaining patient. Yes, he OK’d extending the parenting agreement put in place in September, meaning the kids live with Jolie. But in his November 4 divorce filing, he indicated he wants joint physical custody. “Checking that box means he’s not willing to settle for less,” says Christopher C. Melcher, a family attorney in L.A.’s Woodland Hills. A legal battle doesn’t necessarily loom. “The court is not going to do anything unless he requests a custody hearing date,” notes Melcher, who adds Pitt and Jolie can still come to an agreement privately. That’s exactly what Pitt hopes will happen, says the friend: “He wants to move on with his life and have his kids back.”
ANGIE’S EX SAYS SHE ‘SEEMS OK’ Jolie has yet to break her silence since she and Pitt separated. But her second ex-husband, Billy Bob Thornton (right), reports she’s doing well. “She seems, you know, OK to me when I talk to [her]. I don’t talk to her that often, though,” the actor, 61, who was wed to Jolie from 2000 to 2003, told Entertainment Tonight recently. “We’re still very good friends, but she’s got her world, I’ve got mine.” Thornton (now wed to makeup artist Connie Angland) was quick to add that he doesn’t pry: “When people are going through their trials and tribulations, I try to leave them alone unless they want to talk to me.”

He flashes a slew of tricks as “magizoologist” Newt Scamander in Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them (out November 18), the Harry Potter prequel. Redmayne, 34, talks to Us.
Welcome to the wizarding world of Harry Potter. Were you a big fan? Yeah, I had read the first couple of books when they came out, and I had a younger brother who was massively into them. I watched all the films as they came out, and they just became the most sort of wonderful escapism.
What are the differences between Harry Potter’s world and the one Newt Scamander encounters in 1926 New York City? Other than differences as far as the names of the various institutions and terms, like “muggle” and “No-Maj,” the relationship between muggles and wizards is different. You’re not allowed to marry between muggle and wizard, which Newt finds kind of odd. They’re living in hiding.

OPENS FRIDAY 11/18
Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them The trick to enjoying a Harry Potter spinoff: Don’t think of it as a Harry Potter spinoff. While J.K. Rowling has reopened her chamber of secrets, this film charms thanks to a unique set of characters and mysteries. In 1926 New York, British magizoologist Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne) has arrived with good intentions and a suitcase full of special creatures. Little does he know that the local wizarding community is on the verge of war with all the No-Majs (i.e., the American word for Muggles, i.e., nonwizards). After Newt’s creatures are accidentally unleashed, he unites with a few new friends — including a hapless baker (Dan Fogler) and a former Statute of Secrecy agent (Katherine Waterston) — to rescue the beasts and save NYC from sinister forces. In other words, this is not a classic origin story in which cute children learn how to play Quidditch at Hogwarts. Rowling, who wrote the screenplay, has layered a sophisticated, surprisingly dark narrative that will fly over kids’ heads. (Newt showing off all the overgrown beasts in his case is a wondrous scene for all ages, though.) Magic wands aside, don’t underestimate the power of a real human drama. MARA REINSTEIN
Redmayne uses his wand to get himself out of trouble with imposing authorities.

Gyllenhaal’s book is dedicated to Adams.
The opening credits feature an obese woman dancing naked. And that’s the least mesmerizing part of designer turned director Tom Ford’s tense and taut thriller. The doozy of a plot: A chic, unhappy art-gallery owner (Amy Adams) reflects on her first marriage while poring over a novel written by her cuckold ex (Jake Gyllenhaal). In the film within a film, a man (Gyllenhaal again) grapples with his wife’s murder. Just in case the theme isn’t clear, midway through, Adams literally stands in front of a painting with the word REVENGE on it. Still, Ford uses his gift for striking visuals to create a must-see. MR

OPENS FRIDAY 11/18
The Edge of Seventeen This girl-powered coming-of-age film is so terrific that Molly Ringwald herself would adore it. Introverted, snarky high school junior Nadine (Hailee Steinfeld) becomes unglued upon learning that her only friend (Haley Lu Richardson)
has fallen for her stud older brother (Blake Jenner). Her acerbic teacher (Woody Harrelson) seems to get her, but, ugh, she’d rather just hide out till college. Nadine isn’t an athlete, a criminal, a basket case, a brain or a princess — she’s just lost. And thanks to its edgy sense of humor and accurate poignancy, the flick will touch a nerve with anyone who has ever had to ride that tidal wave of teenage angst. By the way, that’s everybody. MR
Chandler (left) was always there for Affleck.
OPENS FRIDAY 11/18
Manchester by the Sea Casey Affleck has found his career-defining role. He delivers a devastating performance as Lee, a Boston janitor who has retreated from the world around him. He emerges after his beloved brother (Kyle Chandler) dies and names him the legal guardian of his teen son. Despite Lee’s obvious bond with his hockey-playing nephew, he’s reticent to uproot back to his hometown of Manchester and assume the responsibility. Intermittent flashbacks reveal why. Lee carries himself with a heaviness for a reason, while fleeting sightings of his ex (Michelle Williams) only add to his pain. Director Kenneth Lonergan has crafted a masterful tale that delves deep into the black hole of grief. (Even the Massachusetts skies are cast in a permanent dreary gray.) At times, it can all be emotionally overwhelming — but isn’t that a characteristic of a great movie? Don’t turn away from it. MR USM AG A ZIN E.COM

This documentary on the 2013 Boston Marathon terrorist attack, focusing on the three-year journey of a few injured survivors, is both arresting and profoundly moving. As Marathon opens, crisp, you-are-there footage of the event unspools with the tension of a big-screen thriller. Yet the travails of
newlyweds Patrick Downes and Jessica Kensky (he loses one leg, she ultimately loses both) are real to an almost unbearable degree. Similarly honest stories of other survivors are interwoven with reports of the perps’ own fates, making Marathon an expertly laid-out human drama. When one subject tackles the 2016 race with a prosthetic leg, life wins big. (HBO, 8 P.M.) JOHN GRIFFITHS

TELEVISION SUNDAY 11/20
Noah (West) is charmed by French literature professor Juliette (Irène Jacob).
The Affair Reset accomplished! Bolstered by a time jump and a fresh mystery, this dark human drama compels anew in season 3. When last seen (spoilers ahead), novelist Noah (Dominic West) confessed to a hit-and-run death, taking the fall for the real culprits, his ex (Maura Tierney) and his former mistress (Ruth Wilson). After three years in prison, he’s free. Yet as The Affair piles on the foreboding, it’s obvious that Noah, broke and teaching at a small college, is traumatized by something that happened behind bars. West is excellent, a raw nerve throughout. (Watch for the electrifying scene in which Noah eviscerates a student’s writing in class.) Upping the tension: He notices a man (Brendan Fraser) trailing him. Once the shock from the premiere’s violent coda has worn off, viewers will be demanding more. (Showtime, 10 P.M.) JG

The 27-year-old “Cake by the Ocean” singer gives Us a medley of unsung facts
2. If I could perform anywhere, it would be Alaska so I can say I’ve performed in every state. 3. My father, Paul Kevin Jonas, 51, is one of my biggest musical inspirations. He can play pretty much any instrument. 4. My favorite song on the new album is “Body Moves.” 5. My favorite book of all time is The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho. 6. “Something,” written by George Harrison, is a song I wish I wrote.
7. I’m a big coffee drinker. I probably won’t kick it anytime soon because it’s a habit that I like.
DNCE’s self-titled debut album is out Nov. 18.
8. The most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen is my nieces [brother Kevin’s girls, Alena, 2, and Valentina, 3 weeks] coming into the world. 9. The biggest misconception of me is that I pencil in my eyebrows. I don’t. 10. What I am most proud of is my band, DNCE. 11. One of the best feelings is playing in small spaces and having people sing along. 12. I’d love to hang out with Bill Murray. I feel like he would have a lot of knowledge to spread. 13. An In-N-Out DoubleDouble burger with onions “animal-style” is my favorite meal. 14. My favorite thing to wear is clothes. 15. My not-so-secret celebrity crushes are Daniel Craig and Matthew McConaughey.
Forrest Gump is my all-time favorite movie. 21. Zürich, New York City, London, Paris and Los Angeles are my favorite cities. 22. My biggest adventure was in New Zealand. My manager and I went mountain biking and ATVing, and had a helicopter tour of the Lord of the Rings set. Then we luged and had a seven-course meal. I almost fell into a lake because I was so drunk. 23. Before hitting the stage, I like to do some pushups and jumping jacks, and I’ll have [DNCE guitarist] JinJoo slap us a few times.
24. If I had one day left on earth, I’d ski with my family in California’s Mammoth Mountain. 25. Three musicians who have been an inspiration to me are Prince, for his attitude and sexy vibes; Bono, for his leadership and stage presence; and Freddie Mercury, for being an amazing frontman.
