Focus will be placed on developing basic positions and concepts while encouraging precision, agility and fluid movements. A fusion class featuring two different dance styles, allowing kids to explore their interests. Modern dance takes the emphasis from the feet to the torso with a wide range of movements. Jazz dance is high energy and has its roots in African-American and Caribbean style movements. Improve your child’s skating skills! Join us on Jan 16th at the outdoor Lion’s skating rink to have a free skate assessment from our instructor to help you select the appropriate program level for your child. We will answer questions and help you register on the spot. Space is limited to a maximum of 10 children per session. Level 1 - Pre-beginner

Teens can now attend the Fitness Centre for FREE right after the bell rings! Exercise with your peers while you work towards a healthier you! Orientations and parental consent are mandatory. Youth without valid memberships must exit at 4pm. Membership funding is available upon request; please speak with our Recreation Programmer, Tara Street, for more information. A hands-on workshop aimed at improving your buying, storing, preparing, and cooking habits in the kitchen. Emphasis will focus on swapping out packaged and processed foods for real, prepared-by-you, nutrient-dense foods. Get the skills you need to create nutritious, flavorful foods in your own home!

Cultivate balance and harmony while releasing tension and realigning the mind, body, and soul. You’ll flow through a series of gentle poses with emphasis on safety and breathe focus. Jump-start your week with some cardio! This class includes approximately 45 minutes of step followed by a muscular strength and endurance segment and core blast. We’ll finish with a nice well deserved stretch.

Bring your hula hoop and develop fluid hooping around the waist, torso, arms, legs, and off the body while engaging your abs. Develop core strength, coordination, dance-ability, precision and sensory awareness in this fun, interactive class. A relaxing yoga inspired cool-down and stretch will complete your experience.

Have a new digital camera but not sure how it all works? This course will give you a basic understanding of your camera.  Become familiar with digital camera controls and how to use your camera in various situations.  Bring along your camera and instruction manual. 

Create a cute mini album for your own pictures, or make it for a wedding, baby shower, or grad gift. Teens welcome.  All supplies will be provided.  If you have a paper cutter, please bring it to class.
