The President’s Diary Now settled into Rawai and finding our way around. On Monday 22nd Youthlinc departed Ranong and spent a brief time at the Boat Lagoon with lunch & for some a swim in the hotel pool. I am sure all from Youthlinc enjoyed their Thailand experience and now Brad can relax somewhat after being our liason with Youthlinc – ANOTHER SUCCESSFUL PROJECT completed – thank you Youthlinc & Brad Kenny Unfortunately my attendance was interupted by a telephone call from DG Dr. Sanguan to advise a meeting was being held in Phuket Town in one & a half hours - and could I make it. Yikes Fortunately PP Larry was also at the Youthlinc meeting and volunteered for me to follow him to Phuket Town and the meeting location. (I can get lost coming out of the carpark lol) The meeting was to plan for the visit to Phuket on Monday 26th August of Rotary International President Ron Burton and several hundred Rotarians and partners for one night. Resulting from this visit, and that of the VTT team from Japan on 13th August it has been necessary to change our programme. The preceding details will be discussed at the next Board meeting on Tuesday 30th July. A change to the date for the installation night will again be required. The speaker at last Tuesday night’s meeting was from ECO – Phuket and although numbers were again low – it was a great presentation with another opportunity for RCoPB to assist – details to follow. At this time there are quite a few members travelling – so please check in this edition whom - where etc they are.

Last Meeting Night Report – 23rd July The night was wild and stormy (think I said that before) the rain came at the right time for those who preferred to stay at home rather than venture out on the roads

Acting SAA Jaspal was primed and ready for the meeting and asked P. Denis to open the meeting with a resounding GONG.

(Jaspal SAA in training)

SAA Jaspal welcomed all to the meeting and asked the visiting Rotarian to introduce himself.
