This Week’s Meeting 1st June 2010 On 1st June SAA Richard Arell has arranged a fabulous dinner out at GINTANO. (I wish I was there – fabulous when we went last time Ed) A very colourful venue Great food and Richard reports a new menu 500 Baht – food only See Special Menu (as previously circulated by Richard) as an attachment to this Bulletin. BOOK IN WITH RICHARD ARELL Special note for Jeroen - This time you can drive up the road about 1 klm rather than into Patong & Aloha to find dinner out is just a driver and wedge to GINTANO

Next Week’s Meeting 8th June 2010 P.P.’s Friedrich (Sam) Fauma & David Arell, whom attended the District Assembly earlier this month at Suphanburi will advise re "Changing the Way Rotary Funds Projects" which was a key presentation at the assembly. Make sure you hear this important change to Rotary International’s procedures for the continuing programs around the world

Last Week’s Meeting 25th May, 2010 April 2010

Tonight's meeting introduced a new format for the RCoPB. The meeting was a visit to the Atmanjai Spa as guests of PP Mike Massey, director of the facility. The evening was structured to provide an overview of a business venture of one of our club members and it is hoped that this is just the first of many vocational visits. Mike opened the visit to an enthusiastic crowd of 20 Rotarians and guests, eager to learn more of this burgeoning business in Phuket. After a short presentation, the group was divided up and Mike's capable staff guided us through the various parts of the facility while providing excellent, informative commentary. This reporter came away with a much deeper understanding of the detox process, along with an appreciation of the Atmanjai programs which address the physical, emotional and mental aspects of healthy living. OK - Not long now guys

At the conclusion of the tours Mike provided a bit of a "quiz night" with questions on the evening's presentations. Several Rotarians and guests came away with wonderful spa prizes as a result of their quick recall of spa information. Mike informed the attendees that much more information on programs and fees can be found on the Atmanjai website at: http://www.atmanjai.com/ The WINNER is Able --- already claimed her prize – after all I guess she might be occupied for a while SOON. (nice photo MM) The meeting adjourned to the Friendship Beach Resort nearby for a truly excellent buffet dinner. With the sound of lapping waves and a gloriously cool evening, business was kept to a minimum. The main discussion of the evening centered around the upcoming Installation Night. Due to various scheduling conflicts the group settled on the revised date of July 2, at the Holiday Inn. Stay tuned for further information. –

CONFIRMED - ED

The meeting was brought to a close at 9:05pm, with conversation drifting into the night while overlooking the Andaman Sea. Thanks to Mike Massey for a wonderful, informative evening. Rick Gartland reporting. Thanks Richard & Michael for photos Ed Denis - A Special word of

thanks to PP Michael and his team at ATMANJAI – we hope to have more vocational visits in the future. If you have any ideas for visits please send me a note thanks Ed Denis

The object of Rotary is to encourage and foster the ideal of service as a basis of worthy enterprise and, in particular to encourage: The development of acquaintance as an opportunity for service High ethical standards in business and professionals; the recognition of worthiness of all useful occupations; and the dignifying of each Rotarian’s occupation as an opportunity to serve society. The application of the ideal of service in each Rotarian’s personal, business and community life. The advancement of international understanding, goodwill and peace through a world fellowship of business and professional persons united in the ideal of service.

The Four Way Test Is it the TRUTH? - Is it FAIR to all concerned? - Will it build GOODWILL and BETTER FRIENDSHIP? Will it be BENIFICIAL to all concerned?
