Whenever you hear a Made in Malaysia brand especially lubricant, I’m sure everyone get sceptical especially in when a biker want performance. Well same here when we were called to review to review Jetron lubricant. We know the brand which is based out in the northern part of Malaysia in Bukit Mertajam, Penang. We already were to have an oil change, so what the heck, just give it a test on our long termer three -cylinder Hoonigan 09. Previous grade we test was a 10W/40 synthetic grade which we did 3000km and 3 trackdays at Sepang International Circuit (sorry we cannot disclose the brand) but Hoonigan was asking 15W/50 grade which we felt was suitable for a MT09.Simeon So came 2.4 liters of Jetron fully synthetic Black Gold 10W/50, courtesy of BikEmpire96 Jeff Chin, in to Hoonigan blood, which we will be taking to Malayan 1000 Korner Malaya this weekend 17th & 18th December 2016. So back to our review… i mention before we were sceptical at first, but immediately as we rode off

BikEmpire96 after the oil change the three-cylinder engine felt different again, even popping in first gear didn’t have the loud ” Clunk Sound” the Jetron when pop in first gear was so quiet in shifting and changing up and down gear was much smoother. While being smoother in the gear changing, the torque of the Hoonigan seem to start coming back, even from speed of 130-135km/h in 6th gear, just a twist of the throttle “bamm” the Hoonigan goes to 180km/h in an instant, and barely 25km from BE96 to SS2 then back to office, well its too early to say but when you can clutch and pop a wheelie at 3rd gear and exiting a 2nd gear corner while wheel spinning on my Supercorsa sure makes me feel that the 130hp of my Hoonigan 09 is back! Temperature was 99 F at the traffic light but when start moving again it drop to 95 F in less than 150m, not sure that means anything to the normal biker but to us it mean a significant cooling to the hot three-cylinder MT-09. We still got more mileage to clock before we reach an ultimate verdict but so far the first 25km was impressive enough for us not be sceptical about Jetron Black Gold 10W/50.

You like to go fast? You like horsepower? Obviously the answer to both those questions is yes simply based on the fact that you’re reading the i-Moto eMagazine. That’s good to know, because below you’ll find a list of the 10 most powerful production, street legal motorcycles that you can buy. ROADTEST: YAMAHA MT-09 TRACER We finally got our hand on , Tracy the Tracer for a full review, this is a seriously a bike that we wanted to review since it was first preview almost a year back by Hong Leong Yamaha, since our long termer was a MT-09, but in comparison, actually both bikes felt really different in character, although they share the similar platform. With the torque triple’s engine ironed out, and especially the rear suspension, the longer front suspension makes the cornering feel a little more, I would say Tracy is super gentle, a superb bike with its versatile and thrillingly better handling, even with the same chassis as the MT-09 but the boys at Yamaha made the front and rear suspensions harder and been tweaked, to get more feel in corners instead of bouncing around on the original MT-09. I will not criticize the handling especially the rear, as I did with the original MT-09.

I always criticize the stock MT-09’s suspension, that’s why most of you all know I changed the front and rear to K-Tech suspension, but the Tracer’s suspension just feels like I’m not riding a MT-09, with soft rear and front forks. The tweak was just increasing both the front and rear preload and damping rates on the Tracer. As a result, the chassis just gets on with it. The ride is stable and enough for me to ride it like, a MT-07, sharper agility and the Tracer feels lighter than most sport touring bikes I have ridden and even when I push hard through the snaking switchbacks and flipflops in the hills of Bukit Tinggi and towards Kuantan trunk roads and the suspension and brakes were never found unable to deliver what I want.

The Tracer will wheelie until the cows come home because it retains all the fun and zest of the base MT09, just if i found out how to switch off the Traction Control and if you want take the missus or a girlfriend out for a weekend worth of riding to Fraser’s Hill or Cameron Highlands just to have fun through the twisty roads you will do that with ease.

Our DJI Mavic Pro has finally arrived. We never owned a drone and we only flew once the Phantom 4 and Phantom 3. So you should guess that we are not an experience pilot, but there is something that the Mavic Pro, make it a must have gadget is its portability which folds up into a really tiny unit and follow me mode. We really mean tiny – when fully folded up, can fit in a pouch. The Mavic Pro can be controlled in two ways. You can either control it using your smartphone (Android or iOS) or use DJI’s wireless remote (although you will still need a smartphone to act as the screen and to change settings). Since it can be controlled completely with a smartphone, the Mavic Pro is sold in some countries without a controller. However, in Malaysia it’s only available as a bundle – it’s more expensive but is the better option as the controller has a much longer range. In keeping with the Mavic Pro’s tiny size, the controller is also designed to be small yet comfortable to use, as it has big buttons. The only drawback is that the controller limits the size of smartphone you can use with it. We managed to squeeze an iPhone 7 Plus with a leather case but that’s about the maximum size that you can fit into the holder. Just like the drone and the controller, the battery charger is also pretty compact and it can charge both the controller and the Mavic Pro at the same time. Once you have them charged up, the only thing left to do is to connect your smartphone to the 3 controller. 7

You fly the drone with the two joysticks and there are also buttons and dials for controlling the camera as well as the gimbal head. The controller has its own screen for showing information like battery life and GPS signal strength while the smartphone’s display is used to show live feed from the camera. Another mode is Tap Fly which allows you to tap on what you see on the screen and have the drone fly there. There are about 10 modes yet we still haven’t master them yet but I can say for a newbie like me its pretty easy to fly the Mavic Pro but a word of caution don’t fly it at night as the sensors don’t work at night especially obstacle avoidance. We crashed in to parked car And while trying the just the phone we crashed it to a flower pot, darn!! 3 rd crashed was app error as new firmware became unstable and the Mavic reversed in to a wall, that cost the blades to break. But still can be used when I swapped the blades from the earlier crashed. DJI claims battery life is about 27 minutes but we only got about 18 minutes before it start beeping low batt The Mavic Pro shoots at a maximum resolution of 4K at up to 30fps (frames per second) and the quality was pretty darned good.

Conclusion Get the Fly More Combo, when ordering the Mavic Pro cos you will need the extra battery and blades and a bag. The video quality is about on par with the Phantom 4 – there are slight differences between the two but it’s hard to tell which is better. In the end, it’s the size that makes all the difference and what’s even better is that the Mavic Pro costs a little less than the Phantom 4. Pros: Compact and foldable; 4K video recording; welldesigned controller; relatively good battery life, good for beginner pilots. Cons: Controller won’t fit very large smartphones or tablets; not water resistant., cant fly at night and new firmware sometimes unstable. The ZR Racing GP Muffler is made in UK and its universal for most bike 56mm and 60mm link pipe. The ZR GP offers a Carbon designed slip-on exhaust system for demanding motorcyclists. Akrapovič Gives the Power to a Range of Exciting New Kawasaki Z Models

Akrapovič has developed a range of exhausts and systems for the very latest Kawasaki Z range of machines that are guaranteed to set pulses racing with their superb looks, enhanced sound, and increased performance. The all-new Kawasaki Z900 is a beautiful new naked bike with plenty of sporting aspirations, and the Slovenian high-performance exhaust specialist has developed a trio of Slip-On Line exhausts dedicated to it. The range features the Slip-On Line (Titanium), EC/ECE typeapproved Slip-On Line (Carbon), and EC/ECE typeapproved Slip-On Line (Titanium) exhausts, all produced to give customers a great choice. These three new mufflers are the first stage in exhaust tuning and will certainly make a statement of the bike’s ambitions. With the addition of optional headers in stainless steel, they can be converted into systems to take performance and sound to higher levels. The two Slip-On Line (Titanium) muffler outer sleeves are crafted in high-grade lightweight titanium, offering a big decrease in weight over the stock item, leading to improved handling. One version of the Slip-On Line (Titanium) is designed for where the markets require EC/ECE type approval and Euro 4 regulations, and the other is designed for other areas where these regulations are not needed, or for track use. Finished with a hand-crafted carbon-fibre endcap, the design of these systems improves the look of the Z900 with a sportier muffler that gives a more aggressive and tailored look to the machine. The Slip-On Line is also available in carbon fibre to give the consumer a choice of finish for which race-inspired materials they would like to add to their machine. Meeting EC/ECE and Euro 4 regulations, this exhaust, like the titanium version, is a simple plug-and-play operation with no remapping required. All three exhausts will improve power and torque levels throughout the entire range while also improving throttle response to aid rideabilty and control. Performance can be further enhanced with the addition of stainless-steel headers, and when these are added to any of the Slip-On Line exhausts it turns them into a complete racing system and increases power to even greater levels of enjoyment.

Akrapovič has also been busy making sure the sound is improved to match the look and performance. The EC/ECE type-approved Slip-On Line (Carbon/Titanium) exhaust improves the sound by adding a sportier note, while the Slip-On Line (Titanium) delivers a louder, deeper, and even crisper sound. To further enhance the look of these Slip-On Line exhausts, an optional carbon-fibre heatshield is available, made exclusively inhouse from high-quality hand-crafted materials. The sound can also be further improved and given an extra aural boost with the addition of the optional headers. To extend the Kawasaki Z range of premium exhaust systems even further, Akrapovič has created a Racing Line (Titanium) system for the naked Z650, which also fits the stunning Ninja 650 sports bike. With a muffler built from the highestquality ultra-lightweight titanium and headers in stainless steel all finished with a handmade carbonfibre endcap, this system is yet another work of art from the Slovenian performance exhaust specialist. Delivering a deeper, sportier sound that fits perfectly with naked bike’s aggressive looks and combines ideally with the Ninja 650, the design also seamlessly aligns with the look of both machines to take the visual enjoyment to higher levels. With an increase in power and torque across the range and a decrease in weight that aids handling, the Racing Line certainly makes an impact, while still meeting EC/ECE type approval

Slip-On Line (Titanium)

and being compliant with Euro 4 regulations for emissions and noise. With easy-to-follow installation instructions, the Racing Line is a simple plug-and-play system that needs no remapping for the stock ECU. For markets where EC/ECE type approval is not required, or for track-day use, Akrapovič has also released a Racing Line (Titanium) exhaust system for the Z650 and the Ninja 650 to meet those requirements. With performance improvements across the range, and an enriched sound that serves up a sporty, deeper tone, all allied to the weight reductions that the high-grade titanium construction of the muffler provides, this is an exhaust system that means business and adds to the appeal of the bike. These stunning new Slip-On Line exhausts and the Racing Line systems will improve looks, enhance performance, aid handling, and give a superb soundtrack to the latest range of Kawasaki motorcycles, which will take them to new levels of excitement and increase the desirability of the whole package.
