FASHIONFORWARD

Talking about the 90’s in the past tense is a tough pill to swallow for a lot of us at Weddings Mag. After all, it only seems like yesterday that we were rocking out to the Spice Girls in the back seat of our mom’s mini-van. But, as recent as it was, we’re seeing a plethora of 90’s styles making a comeback, on and off the runways. One of our favorites is the crop top. Separates are always a good idea, but the possibilities are endless when it comes to mixing and matching. Pair that with a touch of skin in a super non-sexy place, and you’ve got the recipe for an on-trend bridal look that is sure to stop everyone in their tracks. Next, we look to the simple column dress. This silhouette was actually incredibly popular for bridal looks in the 90’s - most often with a bateau or cowl neckline and an awkward toe-grazing length. Now, sheath gowns represent pure elegance and sensuality. These figure-hugging gowns are so light, airy and ethereal, you’re sure to feel like you’re walking on air. Nix the harshness of an overdone undo, and pair the look with a romantic wave for an angelic and obsession-worthy wedding day style.
