Weddings Magazine

2017

What a year! As life-changing events take place during this rare time in history, the wedding industry has produced some of the most stellar trends that we have ever witnessed. Timeless classics have been re-invented and modern twists have been added to traditional elements, delighting brides with a bevy of different styles – this unpredictability is why we adore every aspect of the wedding world! There is no doubt that North Carolina holds some of the most extraordinary venues anywhere and we could not be more ecstatic with this year’s shoots – dare we say, they are the BEST ever! This year we had the privilege of shooting flowers at the newly renovated Marriott Raleigh Crabtree, fashion at the pastoral Starlight Meadow, cakes at the classic Carolina Inn, and hair and makeup at the modern 1705 Prime. Following these we also styled some gorgeous events in four unique locations in NC. The NC Museum of Art in Raleigh, The Bradford in Pittsboro, Bull City Cigar in Durham and the beautiful Rose Hill in Rocky Mount. It has been an amazing year and 2017 promises to be an even more exciting one! As wedding trends continue to thrill, we are always awe-struck at the creativity of our talented photographers. These professionals are the top in their field and travel all over the world to capture the perfect shots – what a privilege to have their photos featured in our publication. Receptions are taking a new turn in the direction of entertainment and enchantment as bewildered guests look forward to fabulous fun with the unique likes of hand rolled cigar stations, décor that dazzles and fabulous sunrise roof top after-parties. Cakes are almost as beautiful as they are delicious these days! The artistry of the sugar flowers and décor are so realistic that it becomes virtually impossible to tell the difference between the edible and authentic. This year’s tablescapes are some of the most stunning works of art that we have ever seen as rich, lush greenery takes center stage and classic settings make a comeback with an updated twist of elegance. Weddings Magazine is honored to work with exceptionally talent professionals – it really does take a village to bring our pages to life. Thank you for making our publication a part of your special day. Here’s to a lifetime of happiness and the memories and moments on your wedding journey that you will treasure forever!
