PLANNINGPROUDLY

Allison& John Forget about high-school sweethearts; Allison and John have been together since middle school! They grew up literally loving each other, and when they were married in front of their closest friends and family, they made a vow to continue loving each other for the rest of their lives. They are committed to making this journey through life together, and they will spend more of it together than most couples! Allison and John were married at the top of the mountain at Banner Elk Winery in Banner Elk, NC. They enjoyed bright blue skies on a crisp fall day, and had a beautiful view overlooking the autumn foliage. Guests then moved into the Tasting Room at the winery for the reception, which featured a bohemian theme with a color palette of blue, cranberry, mint and copper. provided for guests to cuddle up with by the bonfire. The menu for the evening included chicken marsala, penne vodka, caesar salad and individual brown betty sweet potato cakes served in mason jars and made by the mother of the bride. Allison is a kindergarten teacher and her mother surprised her by asking each student to create a stuffed love bird to display on tree branches at the wedding. Each bird was accompanied by a signed card or picture from the student who made it. Under the stars, Allison and John were surprised again with a special lighting of Chinese lanterns. Allison always loved the thought of making a wish and sending it up in a Chinese lantern, so this was a special moment in the celebration provided by her parents. The magical evening came to a close as Allison and John made their exit through a tunnel of glittering sparklers. However, they reunited with friends to continue the celebration at an after-party at a nearby villa. The celebration continued until the early hours of the next morning, making memories to last a lifetime.
