Arise & Eat For The Journey Is Great - By Pastor Samuel OBAFAIYE

OOD is an essential ingredient to human life. It is from food that we derive physical strength. Many sicknesses and diseases could be avoided by eating the right kind of food. Also, if one is sick, been able to eat is a sign that the person will soon be well. As a matter of fact, after Jesus had fasted for forty days and forty nights, the first temptation he had was regarding food. Food is therefore very vital for existence! One of the lessons I learnt from Israel was that they eat regularly and drink regularly because of the arid condition of the region. The hot climate induces evaporation by sweating, as well as rapid utilisation of calories through labour. May God feed you adequately in Jesus name. In I Kings 19:1-8, after Elijah had just displayed the power of God by calling down fire from heaven. He also killed 450 prophets of Baal and 400 prophets of Asherah. When Jezebel was told what had happened, she sent a messenger to Elijah that he too will be dead in less than 24 hours. Could it be that God had just used you to proclaim His power for victory and certain principalities are calling for your life? They have failed in Jesus name. The problem Elijah had was that he considered the threat of Jezebel. He actually gave it a thought. He could then see that Jezebel meant what she said. Just like Eve gave thought to what the serpent said and saw that the forbidden fruit was good to the eyes and also a fruit to be desired for wisdom. Elijah did not consider the opinion of God, so he arose and ran for his life. He went as far as Beersheba the southernmost city, left his servant there and still began to walk for another day into the desert. He later became exhausted. At this point, he gave up on life and living. Both master and servant became weary in running, master became fainting in walking. That will not be your portion in life in Jesus name. Elijah told God that his life on earth is enough, when God has not said so. He actually said, his father's life was better than his own! Sometimes, we dwell on our situation in life and utter things that are not obtainable. No one knows Elijah's dad. If his father was that important, someone would have told us. Also, Elijah that was prepared to die didn't know that he still had a great destiny ahead of him. He is about the second oldest person on that has ever lived on earth. Over 3,500 years old! He is already in paradise and yet to die! Will he ever have been fearful if he knew this? You will not die shamefully. Witches and wizards will not dictate the longevity of your life. The Jezebels of this world will not terminate your life and destiny in Jesus name. As Elijah laid awaiting death, an angel of God woke him up and asked him to arise and eat. God gave him hot cake and water in the desert. May the Almighty God feed you with manna from Heaven. May God refreshes your soul with His living springs. Someone is here, you think you have reach the end of road. Jehovah says, arise and eat, for you still have a great journey to make. You have not reached your destination yet. Where you are is a bus stop. And you are not alighting yet. God is not ready to lose your fellowship. He is not finished with you. I had a similar encounter about 20 years ago. I suffered a strange and terrible sickness. All my systems went wrong. Digestive, respiratory, circulatory, nervous, everything was wrong. It began in March 1993, by April I had a heart attack with a brief out of body experience. It was the calling of Jesus's name that brought me back. I made a total consecration of my life to God by May, and not able to bear the pain anymore, by June, I asked God to take me home. Surprisingly, it was then I started getting better! I arose, eat as I have never done for months! 20 years on, I still feel great! From all indications, by the grace of God, the journey is still far for me. You still have a great journey ahead of you in Jesus name. Why would a man of God like Elijah run away from threat? I perceived that he thought he had lost so much power on mount Carmel, so he needed to get to mount Horeb to refill. Excerpts of a sermon delivered by Pastor Samuel OBAFAIYE on Sept 29th 2013. MY FAITH HAS FOUND A RESTING PLACE My faith has found a resting place, Not in device or creed; I trust the ever living One, His wounds for me shall plead. Refrain I need no other argument, I need no other plea, It is enough that Jesus died, And that He died for me. Enough for me that Jesus saves, This ends my fear and doubt; A sinful soul I come to Him, He’ll never cast me out. Refrain My heart is leaning on the Word, The living Word of God, Salvation by my Savior’s Name, Salvation through His blood.

Great & Sweet Victories

ICTORY is defined as the act of defeating an enemy or opponent in a battle; game or other competition. There are great and small victories depending on the extent of the threat; the power of the attacker; the duration of the contest; the number of the foes; the weaponry used; etc. However, it’s not all victories that can be perceived as sweet. In the tenure of David’s reign over Israel, it happened that Absalom – one of his biological sons rose up against him and chased him out of the throne and the City of David. Father was living in caves and stronghold, while son was living in palace! Previous advisers and principal officers of David decamped from him and joined his son. Absalom also slept with his father’s wives and concubines in a tent with the public looking! The war was terrible, great and deadly. At the end of the war, David was granted victory by God as Absalom died a shameful death. However, it was a bitter victory for David as he wept and wailed for his dear son (2 Sam. 18:6-33). Several years before, David enjoyed a huge and sweet victory over the enemy of God’s people and a blasphemer against God – the Goliath of Gath. Goliath defied the Living God and intimidated the Israelites for 40 days, until David showed up on the scene. At the end of the contest, David slayed Goliath; the Israelites became champions and God’s name was glorified (I Sam. 17:1-54). David also became an in-law to King Saul; his family became rich; they were exempted from paying tax; and he became a commander in the army. In this month of October, God will grant us in Everlasting Father’s Assembly great and sweet victories. We will rejoice after engagement with any opposition; we will celebrate over every ‘battle’ confronting us. We will triumph in any game or competition we encounter. We will subdue any situation in Jesus name. Pastor Samuel Obafaiye

WAS meditating recently to find out from God what will be our theme for 2013. There were certain challenges I saw in 2012 that I was asking God to completely eradicate in the next. God answered and said, "All covenanted ministries (whether individual or church) will hit major storm in their 3rd year. If the ministry escapes that by grace, a greater storm will come against it in its 6th year. If the ministry equally escapes the double storm, it will then qualify for the blessings of the 7th year”. For us in Everlasting Father's Assembly, there were storms that we went through at three years. To the glory of God, we escape them all. Also at six years, thank God for all the astounding accomplishments that we have enjoyed, we also escaped double storms. Glory be to God! So I asked God, since we have escaped the sixth year, what is the blessing of the seventh year? He took me back to the creation of the world. He said, ‘What did the bible says I did on the seventh day’? And I said that You rested from Your labours. So, God said "2013 is your year of My rest". Note that it is the God's rest, not our kind of rest. The bible says that God does not sleep nor slumber (Ps. 121:4). So it's not a rest of sleep. Neither is it of folding of hands. It is a rest from excessive labours and entering into excessive favours. The seventh day was a time when God stopped creating on this earth, but switched to watching over what He has created. In 2013, God will help us to look after what He has created for us and through us. We will supervise and oversee machinery that will run itself. Every system that God has helped us to create will begin to work for us. Grace will supersede haste. There was a time when the Israelites were fighting Canaan, the Israelites were outnumbered. So God began to use constellations to fight for them (Judges 5:20). God will assign hosts of heaven to work for us in 2013 By Pastor Samuel Obafaiye

Year of Signs & Wonders FOR INDIVIDUALS: 1. No matter the darkness around you, your star will shine brighter. 2. God says, He will speak peace to your storms 3. Certain individuals have been stagnated for sometimes, the reasons for your stagnation will become known, will be addressed and will be eliminated, therefore progress will follow. 4. In many senses of the word, this year will be of completeness. FOR NIGERIA: 1. The prayers of some of you minimized death of prominent Nigerians last year, don’t stop praying. 2. Before the middle of the year, many will say hope rising. 3. Learn from disasters of 2012 and take precaution soonest to avert bigger ones.. INTERNATIONAL: 1. The Lord says prominent world leaders need a lot prayers so as not to die in office. 2. Prominent Church leaders need prayers against planned scandals. 3. Weather conditions may get worse, much worst, unless prayers are intensified. 4. We should expect a major breakthrough in medicine this year. 5. Nations who pass unholy laws will have a taste of divine fury. By Pastor Enoch Adeboye (Gen. Overseer RCCG Worldwide)

Pass Me NOT Gentle Saviour

You are welcome in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. We really appreciate your presence. May the Lord visit and bless you.

By Pastor (Mrs) Anthonia OBAFAIYE

HE Theme of the month of September is Season of Renewal as spoken by God through His Prophet. The Bk of Isa 43:19 says 'Behold, I will do a new thing, now it shall spring forth, shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert. When God says He will do a new thing believe it because He will do it, He is not a man that He should lie, He has declared this month a season of renewal, believe it and it shall surely come to pass in Jesus name. The Bible says in the Bk of Acts 1:17 ' And he said unto them, it is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his power. NCV says, 'The Father is the only One who has the authority to decide dates and times, these things are not for you to know. It is not in our power to know the dates and the times that God has set in place but for us to believe that it will come to pass and expect and wait patiently for the promises to come to pass in our lives because we know that God can’t fail and will never fail in Jesus name. In the Bk of Hab. 2:3 it says 'For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie, though it tarry, wait for it, because It will surely come, it will not tarry. Has The Lord promised you something, write it down, make it plain, remind yourself of the promises everyday, expect it to happen, wait patiently for it, watching and praying and when it does happen it is always beautiful to the Glory of God. My prayer for someone here today is that as you delight yourself in The Lord, He will grant you your heart's desire according to His will in Jesus name. I decree, may The Lord not pass you by in this season of renewal in Jesus name. Text: Mark 10:46-52 We always say Blind Bartimaeus, but he is not blind anymore to the Glory of God. I would like us to examine the sequence of events in this Bible verses that we have just read that led Bartimaeus to his miracle on this day, the things he did that caused The Good Lord not to pass him by on the day his season of renewal came knocking at the door of his faith. Brethren there is always a day like no other day in the life of everyone. In the Bk of Jos. 10:12 the Bible said when the day was coming to an end Joshua was still fighting against The Amelikites, the war was not yet over, Joshua spoke to the sun, thou sun stand still in Gibeon and thou moon in the valley of Ajalon, and the Bible recorded that the sun and the moon obeyed and that there was no day like that day before or after it that The Lord hearkened unto the voice of man. 1) verse 46 ( The Bible recorded that Our Lord Jesus and His disciples went out of Jericho (they were passing by) The Bible says in Ecc. 3:1 'To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven. It was recorded in heaven that Jesus would be passing by Jericho on that particular day and time, and some body called Bartimeaus was going to be favoured. Just like it has been recorded in heaven that you and I will be in church today and as Jesus is passing by we will be favoured in Jesus Mighty name. Brethren may we not be in the wrong place at the wrong time, rather at the right place at the right time. May we not be told Ah! You have just missed Him, if you were here a minute earlier, you would have met Him here. It will not be our portion in Jesus name. 2) verse 47 ( And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth) not just anyone but The Son of God Himself, The Great Healer. The Bible says in the Bk of 1 Chron. 12:32 NCV ' There were 200 leaders from Issachar, they knew what Israel should do, and they knew the right time to do it. KJV (they had the understanding of the times) Blind Bartimeaus was able to discern the season like the sons of Issachar, he was blind but his hearing was sound for he was able to hear that Jesus the son of David was passing by, therefore his season of renewal had come, his set time to be favoured had come and he was determined that nothing was going to make him lose out.
