OCTOBER 2013 THEME:

When You Don't Get What Want Don't Lose Your Peace Text: Phil. 4: 4-7 - By Minister Gabriel ADUNMADE HIS month is a month of great and sweet victories. Someone here will experience great and sweet victories this month and beyond in Jesus name. However, before one can talk of great and sweet victories, one must have experienced or passed through great bitterness and tough battles and won greatly. It is then one can appreciate what is called great and sweet victories. Losing is an inevitable part of life. It gives us an invaluable window into development of our character. How do we handle it when the promotion we apply for goes to someone else? How do we react when we go for an interview, do our best and the panel of interviewer confess to us that we did well and that we will hear something positive from them very soon, only to receive letter few days later that reads “with reference to the interview you had with us a few days ago, we regret to inform you that on this occasion, you were not successful, thank you for the interest you have with this establishment”. How do we feel when we file in our application in home office for extension of visa or leave to remain, but our application is turned down and we are told that we don’t have the right to continue staying in the country To live is to lose, but to lose badly, gracelessly can be lethal. When you don’t get what you want, be gracious. 2Peter 3:18; but grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and saviour Jesus Christ. One of the greatest promises in the bible is, you will keep in prefect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you. [Isaiah 26: 3] Who are you trusting to solve your problem, God or yourself? As a child of God, you need to live by principle; do your best and let God do the rest. We don’t have to be discouraged or miserable when things are not working the way we want. Satan doesn’t know what to do with us when he cannot get us upset. We have taken a powerful weapon out of his hands. Keeping your peace does not exempt you from life’s difficulties. It just allows God to have the last and the final word. By trusting God completely, you are no longer at the mercy of circumstances, other people or your own emotions and limitations. When things go wrong, do what God leads you to do, then rest in Him and watch in work on your behalf. Luke 17: 11-19 was the story of ten lepers. Three lesions we can learn from this story; 1. When people reject you, draw closer to Jesus. James 4: 8a; draw nigh to God and He will draw nigh to you. The 10 lepers were rejected by the society, the people, but they drew closer to Jesus 2. Sometimes, you have to “walk out”. We read in the passage, as they went, they were cleansed. Some times change takes place quickly, but most times, it happens slowly, step by step. You don’t know exactly which step will bring victory. So you need to keep walking in faith. SO KEEP WALKING. 3. Gratitude and praise are so important to God. This story reminds us how quickly we forget God’s goodness. Only one out of ten of us will pass gratitude test. Ten lepers were cleansed, only one was made whole. Peace is our inheritance. John 14: 27a; peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you, not as the world giveth. It is your birthright, devil will try all he could to steal that peace from you through disappointment, discouragement and misfortune in life. Don’t allow him to rub you of your peace. Your best problem solving resource is peace. Solutions arise more easily and naturally out of a peaceful state; whereas fear and anxiety empowers the problem. God’s peace is available if you chose it.

Great & Sweet Victories

ICTORY is defined as the act of defeating an enemy or opponent in a battle; game or other competition. There are great and small victories depending on the extent of the threat; the power of the attacker; the duration of the contest; the number of the foes; the weaponry used; etc. However, it’s not all victories that can be perceived as sweet. In the tenure of David’s reign over Israel, it happened that Absalom – one of his biological sons rose up against him and chased him out of the throne and the City of David. Father was living in caves and stronghold, while son was living in palace! Previous advisers and principal officers of David decamped from him and joined his son. Absalom also slept with his father’s wives and concubines in a tent with the public looking! The war was terrible, great and deadly. At the end of the war, David was granted victory by God as Absalom died a shameful death. However, it was a bitter victory for David as he wept and wailed for his dear son (2 Sam. 18:6-33). Several years before, David enjoyed a huge and sweet victory over the enemy of God’s people and a blasphemer against God – the Goliath of Gath. Goliath defied the Living God and intimidated the Israelites for 40 days, until David showed up on the scene. At the end of the contest, David slayed Goliath; the Israelites became champions and God’s name was glorified (I Sam. 17:1-54). David also became an in-law to King Saul; his family became rich; they were exempted from paying tax; and he became a commander in the army. In this month of October, God will grant us in Everlasting Father’s Assembly great and sweet victories. We will rejoice after engagement with any opposition; we will celebrate over every ‘battle’ confronting us. We will triumph in any game or competition we encounter. We will subdue any situation in Jesus name. Pastor Samuel Obafaiye

THE RCCG (EVERLASTING FATHER’S ASSEMBLY) 2013 PROPHECY. THEME: OUR YEAR OF GOD’S REST Isaiah 65: 21-24, Isaiah 14:1-4

I

WAS meditating recently to find out from God what will be our theme for 2013. There were certain challenges I saw in 2012 that I was asking God to completely eradicate in the next. God answered and said, "All covenanted ministries (whether individual or church) will hit major storm in their 3rd year. If the ministry escapes that by grace, a greater storm will come against it in its 6th year. If the ministry equally escapes the double storm, it will then qualify for the blessings of the 7th year”. For us in Everlasting Father's Assembly, there were storms that we went through at three years. To the glory of God, we escape them all. Also at six years, thank God for all the astounding accomplishments that we have enjoyed, we also escaped double storms. Glory be to God! So I asked God, since we have escaped the sixth year, what is the blessing of the seventh year? He took me back to the creation of the world. He said, ‘What did the bible says I did on the seventh day’? And I said that You rested from Your labours. So, God said "2013 is your year of My rest". Note that it is the God's rest, not our kind of rest. The bible says that God does not sleep nor slumber (Ps. 121:4). So it's not a rest of sleep. Neither is it of folding of hands. It is a rest from excessive labours and entering into excessive favours. The seventh day was a time when God stopped creating on this earth, but switched to watching over what He has created. In 2013, God will help us to look after what He has created for us and through us. We will supervise and oversee machinery that will run itself. Every system that God has helped us to create will begin to work for us. Grace will supersede haste. There was a time when the Israelites were fighting Canaan, the Israelites were outnumbered. So God began to use constellations to fight for them (Judges 5:20). God will assign hosts of heaven to work for us in 2013 By Pastor Samuel Obafaiye

THERCCG RCCG (WORLDWIDE) WORLDWIDE 20132013 PROPHECY PROPHECY

Year of Signs & Wonders FOR INDIVIDUALS: 1. No matter the darkness around you, your star will shine brighter. 2. God says, He will speak peace to your storms 3. Certain individuals have been stagnated for sometimes, the reasons for your stagnation will become known, will be addressed and will be eliminated, therefore progress will follow. 4. In many senses of the word, this year will be of completeness. FOR NIGERIA: 1. The prayers of some of you minimized death of prominent Nigerians last year, don’t stop praying. 2. Before the middle of the year, many will say hope rising. 3. Learn from disasters of 2012 and take precaution soonest to avert bigger ones.. INTERNATIONAL: 1. The Lord says prominent world leaders need a lot prayers so as not to die in office. 2. Prominent Church leaders need prayers against planned scandals. 3. Weather conditions may get worse, much worst, unless prayers are intensified. 4. We should expect a major breakthrough in medicine this year. 5. Nations who pass unholy laws will have a taste of divine fury. By Pastor Enoch Adeboye (Gen. Overseer RCCG Worldwide)
