NOVEMBER 2013 THEME:
May Your Joy Overflow in This Season - By Pastor Samuel OBAFAIYE
oy is something that everybody desire. It gladdens the heart, elongate life, highly infectious, etc. Joy comes from within and radiates outwards. It is higher than happiness which comes from external values. There are several things that can make one joyous. How such things occur can make one to be just joyous or overwhelm with joy. It could be the frequency of occurrence; the circumstances around the time of occurrence; the extent of waiting before occurrence; the magnitude of occurrence; etc. , can be very instrumental to overwhelming joy. In II Sam 9:1-13, the Bible talks about Mephibosheth special favour with King David. Saul tried to kill David for many years, but God never allowed it to happen. Saul and three of his son later died in a war with the Philistines, and David later became king. Some of the relations and accomplice of King Saul prefer Ishiboseth the son of Saul to become king. Ishibosheth later died too. Afterwards, David remembered his covenant of peace with Jonathan and as such tries to find who to show favour. The name of Mephibosheth, the son of Jonathan came up. He was asked by King David to be brought. So they went to fetch him at a remote village in Lodebar where he was hiding from David not to kill him. He was also living in a squalor as he became lame from childhood and his inheritance has been stolen by his grandfather’s slave. When the news came from David, he would have thought death had arrived. He was however given a lot of surprised blessings which accorded him overflowing joy. He couldn’t believe his eyes and ears! He would have been joyous to be a servant of David, at least to escape Saul dynasty cleansing. But David made him an adopted son and a prince in Israel! And David said 5 things to him that brought him overwhelming joy: Fear not; I will surely show thee kindness for Jonathan thy father's sake; I will restore thee all the land of Saul thy father; Thou shalt eat bread at my table continually. 36 servants and their descendants shall till his land; - Have you been asking God why me because of a particular challenge; you will soon be asking God again why me because of His special blessings. - That thing that is causing you great concern will become greater joy to you soon. - You make a mistake and became ‘crippled’, never mind, God will yet raise you up. - His father (Jonathan) named him Mirab Baal meaning 'opponent of Baal'; to disguise him from death, people changed his name to Mephibosheth 'son of shame'. But God changed his name to later mean 'shame destroyer'. - Every shame that people have added to your name will be removed in Jesus name. In John 3:1-11, the bible talks about the lame man at the Beautiful Gate. He was always brought there to beg for alms. At every hour of prayer, he would see people going inside to offer prayers to their Maker, but he could not go in because of his uncleanliness. The gate he was sitting was beautiful, he could only imagine how the inside of the temple would be like. One day however, he got his miracle, his lameness gone and he not only walked into the temple, he was jumping and praising God to the amazement of all! - You shall not beg again. - You have been denied of an opportunity, God will make you to exceed that which you have been denied. - You have been saying how I wish to obtain or do certain things that are pleasing to God, those wishes of yours shall come to pass. THERE SHALL BE SHOWERS OF BLESSING
There shall be showers of blessing: This is the promise of love; There shall be seasons refreshing, Sent from the Saviour above. Showers of blessing, Showers of blessing we need: Mercy drops round us are falling, But for the showers we plead. There shall be showers of blessing, Precious reviving again; Over the hills and the valleys, Sound of abundance of rain. There shall be showers of blessing; Send them upon us, O Lord; Grant to us now a refreshing, Come, and now honour Thy Word. There shall be showers of blessing: Oh, that today they might fall, Now as to God we’re confessing, Now as on Jesus we call! There shall be showers of blessing, If we but trust and obey; There shall be seasons refreshing, If we let God have His way.

ESOUNDING as related to this theme will be defined as ‘clear and emphatic; enormous; unmistakable huge; massive; very great; tremendous; terrific; colossal; total’. While joy could be define as ‘the emotion of great delight or happiness caused by something exceptionally good or satisfying; keen pleasure; elation’. In life we experience variations of joy. While some are small and could be hidden, resounding joys are however huge and vivid. God promised Abraham and Sarah that they would become father and mother of nations, but they were childless at 75 years and 65 years respectively. At a later time in their lives, a child called Ishmael came along in disobedience, instead of this development to be a joyous one; it was bitterness and sadness it brought (Gen. 16: 1-7; 21: 9-14). At age 100 and 90, they both had the Promised Child, it was a time of resounding joy for them. Abraham called all the neighbouring settlements and made a great feast. It was an elation that couldn’t be mistaken or hidden (Gen. 21:1-8). In this month of November, God has promised us in Everlasting Father’s Assembly a time of tremendous and unmistakable joy and delight. We will be filled with great elation; and things that are exceptional good will come our way in Jesus name. Pastor Samuel Obafaiye
THE RCCG (EVERLASTING FATHER’S ASSEMBLY) 2013 PROPHECY. THEME: OUR YEAR OF GOD’S REST Isaiah 65: 21-24, Isaiah 14:1-4
WAS meditating recently to find out from God what will be our theme for 2013. There were certain challenges I saw in 2012 that I was asking God to completely eradicate in the next. God answered and said, "All covenanted ministries (whether individual or church) will hit major storm in their 3rd year. If the ministry escapes that by grace, a greater storm will come against it in its 6th year. If the ministry equally escapes the double storm, it will then qualify for the blessings of the 7th year”. For us in Everlasting Father's Assembly, there were storms that we went through at three years. To the glory of God, we escape them all. Also at six years, thank God for all the astounding accomplishments that we have enjoyed, we also escaped double storms. Glory be to God! So I asked God, since we have escaped the sixth year, what is the blessing of the seventh year? He took me back to the creation of the world. He said, ‘What did the bible says I did on the seventh day’? And I said that You rested from Your labours. So, God said "2013 is your year of My rest". Note that it is the God's rest, not our kind of rest. The bible says that God does not sleep nor slumber (Ps. 121:4). So it's not a rest of sleep. Neither is it of folding of hands. It is a rest from excessive labours and entering into excessive favours. The seventh day was a time when God stopped creating on this earth, but switched to watching over what He has created. In 2013, God will help us to look after what He has created for us and through us. We will supervise and oversee machinery that will run itself. Every system that God has helped us to create will begin to work for us. Grace will supersede haste. There was a time when the Israelites were fighting Canaan, the Israelites were outnumbered. So God began to use constellations to fight for them (Judges 5:20). God will assign hosts of heaven to work for us in 2013 By Pastor Samuel Obafaiye
RCCG WORLDWIDE 2013 PROPHECY
THE RCCG (WORLDWIDE) 2013 PROPHECY
Year of Signs & Wonders
FOR INDIVIDUALS: 1. No matter the darkness around you, your star will shine brighter. 2. God says, He will speak peace to your storms 3. Certain individuals have been stagnated for sometimes, the reasons for your stagnation will become known, will be addressed and will be eliminated, therefore progress will follow. 4. In many senses of the word, this year will be of completeness. FOR NIGERIA: 1. The prayers of some of you minimized death of prominent Nigerians last year, don’t stop praying. 2. Before the middle of the year, many will say hope rising. 3. Learn from disasters of 2012 and take precaution soonest to avert bigger ones.. INTERNATIONAL: 1. The Lord says prominent world leaders need a lot prayers so as not to die in office. 2. Prominent Church leaders need prayers against planned scandals. 3. Weather conditions may get worse, much worst, unless prayers are intensified. 4. We should expect a major breakthrough in medicine this year. 5. Nations who pass unholy laws will have a taste of divine fury. By Pastor Enoch Adeboye (Gen. Overseer RCCG Worldwide)

You Will Be Intoxicated With 2 Kings 4:8-37 Joy In Jesus Name ByText:Pastor Aderemi Adelugba
ANY people would automatically assume that happiness is when everything looks shiny and dazzling. Some would say to themselves, if I have a good job or a successful business, a nice house, and lots of money, I would be happy. It is absolutely true, you may be happy, and friends and families would celebrate you. However, it may not necessarily mean that your joy is full. The simple reason for this is because happiness is on the outside (external), while joy is of the heart (internal). Intoxication is synonymous with drunkenness, and drunkenness is a consequence of drinking intoxication, a stage where someone would lose control of their senses. This is however, what is known as synthetic joy. This is because someone is spending his/her money to buy an alcoholic which can make them to become a moron in a matter of minutes. Intoxication can also mean to become overwhelmed; or be in a state of stupor, which may cause you to loss control of yourself and behave like you have never behaved before. On the other hand Joy refers to someone not something. That someone is Jesus Christ. John15:11 states, these things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full. So when you are intoxicated with joy (Jesus), it means you have received favour and mercies of the highest order. Your joy will overflow in Jesus name. Brethren, if you have not been intoxicated with joy before, the Lord will visit you this month in Jesus name. I don’t know what situation you may have, that has been given you a heartache. It may be something in relation to your coming to a new country, and not know how to get settled, it may be something related to your visa, academics, career, health or whatsoever. It may even be something that God has settled, but has yet to manifest. In the name that is above all other names, your joy will be full, and you will be intoxicated with it in Jesus name. Who is the giver of joy: You may be wondering how you can get this joy, to the stage of been intoxicated with it. Jesus is the giver of joy. He is the source, and He gives it freely to those who seek Him. Romans 15:13 states, May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may a b o u n d i n h o p e . You will realise that Jesus Christ spent His time going around talking to different people at different times. In the process of talking, He gave joy to many through healing and miracles God wants your joy to be full by solving all your issues so that you will have a peace of mind. Prov. 17:22 - A merry heart doeth good like a medicine: but a broken spirit drieth the bones. Effect of Joy in a blessed man: Joy can make a man to start to behave in such a way that everybody would begin to wonder what exactly is making them to act strangely. In Matthew 9:27-31, the two blind men went to Jesus and said, son of David, have mercy on us. When Jesus Christ approached and made them see through the power of His words, He told them to go home, but guess what, these men went straight to the towns and cities, and began to show forth happiness. They celebrated like never before. I am sure people would be thinking they needed psychiatric treatment the way they rejoiced. This is what I call intoxication. The joy threw them around, because they never thought they would ever see again in their live, so, their joy became full than they can ever imagine. In the text we read, 2 King 4: 8-37, the Shunamite woman had all the happiness in this world. She was wealthy, very notable and, probably a property tycoon. Even though, she dwelt amongst her own people, owned her own house, provided food for others, regarded her husband and ran a charity, yet, something was missing, she had no son. But when God was ready to fill her cup with joy, the Lord sent Prophet Elisha to dwell in her household, and a joyful message was delivered unto her. Elisha said, this time next year you shall embrace a son, which means her joy will overflow. Although, she did not understand how it was going to happen, but the scripture says in verse 17, then the woman conceived and she bore a son, when the appointed time has come for which Elisha has spoken concerning. Your appointed time is here in Jesus name.
You are welcome in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. We really appreciate your presence. May the Lord visit and bless you.
