FROM THE PULPIT
Trust And OBEY By Pastor (Mrs) Anthonia OBAFAIYE
HE theme of the month of May is Amazing Covenants as spoken by God through His Prophet. I can hear an abundance of rain for someone here today, but there is a condition, if the fellow will trust and obey God. By the special grace of God we have been blessed by the messages we have heard over the last 2 weeks ‘God is not a man that He should lie’ and ‘Entering into an Agreement with God’. We also looked at different definitions of covenants. In form, a covenant is ‘an agreement between two people and it involves promises on the part of one to another’. The concept of a covenant between God and His people is one of the central themes of the Bible. In the Biblical sense, a covenant implies much more than a contract or a simple agreement between two parties. The word ‘covenant’ in the Old Testament also provides additional insight into the meaning of the important idea. It comes from a Hebrew root word that means ‘to cut’. This explains the strange custom of two people passing through the cut bodies of slain animals after making an agreement (Jeremiah 34:18) A ceremony such as this always accompanied the making of a covenant in the Old Testament sometimes those entering into a covenant shared a meal such as when Laban and Jacob made their covenant (Gen. 31:54) Abraham and his children were commanded to be circumcised as a sign of covenant between them and God. (Gen. 17:10-11) At Mount Sinai, Moses sprinkled the blood of animals on the altar and upon the people who entered into covenant with God (Exo. 24:3-8) The Old Testament contains many examples of covenants between people who related to each other as equals. For example, David and Jonathan entered into a covenant because of their love for each other, this agreement bound each of them to certain responsibilities (1Sam. 18:3). That is why David said in the book of Prov. 18:24 ‘There is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother’. The remarkable thing is that God is holy, omniscient and omnipotent, but He consents to enter into covenant with man, who is feeble, sinful and flawed. Our God is a covenant keeping God, He is ever faithful, (2Tim. 2:13 the GNT says ‘If we are not faithful, he remains faithful because he cannot be false to himself’) why because He is not a man that he should lie neither is He a son of man that He should repent. When he was going to bless Abraham in Gen. 22:16 He did not find anything else to swear by but by Himself because He is higher than the Highest and He can’t deny Himself. In the book of Hebrew 6:13 Apostle Paul said ‘since there was no one greater than God to swear by, He swore by himself that in blessing He will bless Abraham and He will make him a blessing and by his seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed because he obeyed the voice of God. You and I are partakers of these blessings of Abraham because he obeyed God. God does not break covenant, it is we humans that most times break covenants. As a matter of fact God hates putting away in the case of marriage, Mal. 2:16 (because marriage before God is a covenant between a man, a woman and God. The Bible makes us to understand that God will judge covenant breakers. God will help us in a Jesus name. Amos 3:3 says ‘two cannot walk together except they be in agreement’. Deuteronomy 8:18 -20 (GNB) Remember that it is The Lord your God who gives you the power to become rich. He does this because He is still faithful today to the covenants that He made with your ancestors. Never forget The Lord your God or turn to other gods to worship and serve them. If you do, then I warn you today that you will certainly be destroyed. If you do not obey The Lord, then you will be destroyed just like those nations that he is going to destroy as you advance. RCCG EFA MAY THEME - AMAZING COVENANTS
MAZING can be defined as something that causes great surprise or wonders or rather astonishing. While covenant is an agreement, usually formal between two or more persons to do or not do something specified. It could also mean the conditional promises made to humanity by God, as revealed in the scriptures. In life, one can receive promises, pledges, vows, covenants and oaths. Divine promises are Yea and Amen! Once they are settled in heaven, they must manifest on earth. But if the other party is not faithful in obedience, God can alter His promises (I Sam. 2:30). The height of God's word however is an oath which is usually after a covenant. Once God made an oath, He can't just alter it, He is bound by His words. For a new beginning to commence in the life of Abraham, God made a promise to him (Gen. 12:1-3); at a later stage, God entered into a covenant with him (Gen. 17:7-21); not long afterwards God made an oath with Abraham (Gen. 22:16, Heb. 6:13-14). It was an amazing covenant to a person like us today! A man of 99 years and a woman of 90 years entering into such a covenant that runs through their generation and is still in operation today even after about 4,000 years! In this fifth month of the year, which symbolises grace, God wants to enter into everlasting covenants with some of us. We are to obey God to the extent that He will be propelled to enact such amazing covenants with us and for Him to ignite those amazing covenants He has made with us before. May God help us to provoke an everlasting testament of overflowing blessings, enlargement, expansion, flourishing and abundant life with Him this season in Jesus name. Pastor Samuel Obafaiye
THE RCCG (EVERLASTING FATHER’S ASSEMBLY) 2014 PROPHECY. THEME: OUR YEAR OF NEW BEGINNING Exodus 12:2
s 2013 was running to an end. I began to ask God what He will do for us in the year 2014. Few weeks ago, God impressed it on my heart that He is making us to enter into an era of New Beginnings. He said, He will fulfil our time in the year 2014. Our time will be 8 years in 2014, 8 been a number of new beginning. God said, ‘Though I have taken you to a time of completion at 7 years, yet I’m ready to start work on you afresh’. In Gen. 1:1-4, prior to the beginning, God made the heaven and the earth. God reside in heaven, but the earth was without form and void, and also dark. At a later stage, God decided He wanted to make a new beginning with the earth and He began with light and other things, until He could confirm that the earth was equally good. God recently told me that what He intends for Everlasting Father’s Assembly to become is not yet revealed.’I am about to begin anew with you’, He said. ‘I will take you back to Genesis i.e Creation and re-make you’. He said, He will make us into a more impressive form, shape and brilliance.’I will also introduce a new kind of light into you to make your difference from before very obvious’. He said. Do you know that Manufacturers remake their products mainly for two reasons? (1) They identified a fault or error in the system after usage. (2) They just desire to make something nicer; more current or a newer model. God said regarding Everlasting Father’s Assembly, He will repair every faults within our system in 2014. He has also desire to make us into something more glorious. When we started in 2006, we were like something without form and shape, it looks like few people joking. Thank God for then and glory be to God for now. Today, God says, ‘I will start you again in your 8th year’. He said, He will take us back to the things we enjoyed in our first start and then make us to experience even more. God then gave me our anchor scripture as: Exodus 12:2 -This month shall be unto you the beginning of months: it shall be the first month of the year to you. The daylight of 1st January shall be the beginning of months and years to us; it shall also be the first month of 2014. Everything that has happened to us before now are just occurrences before our real beginning. He said your enjoyment up till now is just like a test drive. You will now begin to move about confidently and comfortably. Hear again the promise from God to us for 2014. Revelation 21:5-6 -And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful. And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely. By Pastor Samuel Obafaiye

FROM RCCG EFA YORK NEW HERE TODAY?
Stepping Into My Success By Pastor Aderemi ADELUGBA
O step into your success is to be divinely established in all you set out to achieve. So the aspect we would look at today, is stepping into your success, and be established in your endeavour in Jesus name. The definition of success in the dictionary of God is as follows: Success is to be the person God desires you to be. To accomplish the things God desires you to accomplish. To possess that, which God has ordained you to possess, and, to be able to make an impact in the life of others people In Joshua 1:1-7, After the death of Moses the servant of the Lord, the Lord said to Joshua son of Nun, Moses’ minister,2 Moses My servant is dead. So now arise [take his place], go over this Jordan, you and all this people, into the land which I am giving to them, the Israelites.3 Every place that the sole of your foot shall tread upon, that have I given unto you, as I said unto Moses. 4 From the wilderness and this Lebanon even unto the great river, the river Euphrates, all the land of the Hittites, and unto the great sea toward the going down of the sun, shall be your coast. 5 There shall not any man be able to stand before thee all the days of thy life: as I was with Moses, so I will be with thee: I will not fail thee, nor forsake thee. Joshua went from being an ordinary man to assume the leadership position: In the case of Joshua, the Lord knew him, and ordained him to become a great leader. Even though, he started his life as a slave boy, under the leadership of people who were ready to kill and maim. But the scripture made us to see that Joshua rose to the position of importance in the land. He became a force to reckon with, and stepped into success by the power of God. Whatever the story of your life and the circumstances of your birth, the Lord will turn it around for success in Jesus name. Despite his background, Joshua’s life was filled with remarkable achievement and great success. This suggest to me that your life will be marked with unlimited achievement, and regardless of how the story of your beginning has been, you will become a celebrity in Jesus name. Brethren, there are some things that made the life of Joshua to get transformed. When you begin to do what he did, your life will become transformed too, and you will step into your success in Jesus name. The plan of God is to make you step into Share Your your success in the area of business: In Luke 5: 1 – 7: In Luke 5: 4 – 6 says, And it came to pass, Someone Needs To that, as the people pressed upon him to Hear Your God’s Story hear the word of God, he stood by the email@example.com lake of Gennesaret, 2 And saw two ships standing by the lake: but the fishermen were gone out of them, and were washing their nets. 3 And he entered into one of the ships, which was Simon's, and prayed him that he would thrust out a little from the land. And he sat down, and taught the people out of the ship. .
