At this Time of life

- By Pastor Samuel OBAFAIYE

ROBABLY the most important resource in this part of life is Time. There is a wise saying in Yoruba "A o rojo so lokun". Meaning no one can tied down time. We are all older today than yesterday. We can’t bring back yesterday, and today is fast moving away. As Christians we have a bit of challenge with what we desired to be done per time as God is not bound by time. He is a timeless God simply because He dwells in eternity. However, God has put certain things in place that will always work regardless of which time they are employed. Chief of these is the Word. Psalm 119:89; 160; I Peter 1:23-25. What is time? It is how long things take to happen in a numerical measured manner. There certain types of calendar. The Gregorian calendar divides time into: years, months, weeks, days, hours, minutes, seconds and micro seconds. This is called Chronos i.e. chronological order. Another type of time is Kairos. This is a sort of opening unto the observer regarding a direct will of a religious force that exists in a kind of Divine timing. It is called appointed time. Because Kairos is spiritual, it supersedes Chronos which is physical. So that if a chronological event has failed to happen, God can impose the Kairos and cause a change. Abraham was 75 years when God calked him out of the Ur of Chaldees. God then promised to bless him; turned him into a blessing; make his name great and bless the whole world through him (Gen. 12:1-3). God later told him that he will be a father of nations, yet he had no child. Because God is a timeless God, when will this happen was a problem for Abraham. So when Abraham was 99 years old and Sarah 90 years, God stepped into the physical time and effect a change (Gen. 18). What actually happened? Could Abraham have provoked his Kairos? As Jesus and the two angels appeared that they were just passing on. But why did they not just suddenly appear in Sodom? Just to inform Abraham, because his nephew is there? But even Lot invited the two angels in too as they appeared to be passing on. Could this be a Divine test for Abraham? (Heb.13:2) He was hospitable, keen to serve, give honour, etc. May God visit you specially today. May you not fail your test for breakthrough. - At this time of life, meaning in twelve months. Meaning she would conceive before three months’ time. Whatever you are expecting, will begin within the next three month. - Even angels will attend your celebration. Isaac was warned with a big feast. People that used to mock Abraham would have attended, including the angels. - Sarah had lost hope. The angels override her doubt. Thank God it was a thought, she didn't voice it out, and she countered it immediately even though she lied. Don’t lose hope on God. He is not a man. He will fulfill His promise to you. - Nothing is too hard for be Lord. Try not to figure it out. It will become harder. Leave it in God's hand and just do your part. Abraham moved closer to his wife, the rest was a miracle. In Luke 1:5-17, Zechariah was a priest of God and Elizabeth his wife was a daughter of a priest. They were very Godly people: righteous, obedient, blameless with an unflinching attitude to service. They had however waited for a child to no avail. Unknown to them, they have been ordained by God to give birth to the forerunner of Jesus who must necessary come six months before Jesus! As Zechariah was ministering to God for the people, an angel came to inform him about his long awaited miracle which must happen by the time of life. Are you experiencing a period of long waiting for something crucial? It is because the one coming to you is special. - Fear not, your miracle is here. You will have it at this time of life. Declaring His Power

EHOVAH is the Creator of the Heaven and the Earth and all that is in them. He made all things for His pleasure and He does as He pleases. It is not possible to challenge God or question His wisdom. He is simply sovereign (Job 9:12; Dan 4:35; Eccl. 8:4). God gave all His creatures a special characteristic: the power of self-will. This made it possible that spirits and humans try to do whatever they like excluding God from the picture. However, whenever God could not stand the flagrant disrespect of His person and the wickedness of man's heart, He always appears in the picture to declare His power. The bible tells us of the ordeal of the children of Israel in the land of Egypt when the Pharaoh that loved Joseph had died, the Israelites became slaves and were subjected to terrible treatments by their taskmasters (Ex. 3:7-10). The situation became worse till God could not allowed it any longer and as such vowed to declare His power (Ex. 3:19-20). God began series of punishments in the form of plaques on the Egyptians and later ended with the death of the firstborn of both man and animals in Egypt after which the Israelites regained their freedom by force (Ex. 12:31-33). In this month of April, following the Feast of Passover, the Almighty God will declare His power and might on our behalf. God will disallow every negative situation we are going through. God will orchestrate series of punishments upon our enemies. He will seize the firstlings of all our enemies. He will also enforce our freedom with His outstretch arm in Jesus name. WAS meditating recently to find out from God what will be our theme for 2013. There were certain challenges I saw in 2012 that I was asking God to completely eradicate in the next. God answered and said, "All covenanted ministries (whether individual or church) will hit major storm in their 3rd year. If the ministry escapes that by grace, a greater storm will come against it in its 6th year. If the ministry equally escapes the double storm, it will then qualify for the blessings of the 7th year”. For us in Everlasting Father's Assembly, there were storms that we went through at three years. To the glory of God, we escape them all. Also at six years, thank God for all the astounding accomplishments that we have enjoyed, we also escaped double storms. Glory be to God! So I asked God, since we have escaped the sixth year, what is the blessing of the seventh year? He took me back to the creation of the world. He said, ‘What did the bible says I did on the seventh day’? And I said that You rested from Your labours. So, God said "2013 is your year of My rest". Note that it is the God's rest, not our kind of rest. The bible says that God does not sleep nor slumber (Ps. 121:4). So it's not a rest of sleep. Neither is it of folding of hands. It is a rest from excessive labours and entering into excessive favours. The seventh day was a time when God stopped creating on this earth, but switched to watching over what He has created. In 2013, God will help us to look after what He has created for us and through us. We will supervise and oversee machinery that will run itself. Every system that God has helped us to create will begin to work for us. Grace will supersede haste. There was a time when the Israelites were fighting Canaan, the Israelites were outnumbered. So God began to use constellations to fight for them (Judges 5:20). God will assign hosts of heaven to work for us in 2013 . By Pastor Samuel Obafaiye

Year of Signs & Wonders

FOR INDIVIDUALS: 1. No matter the darkness around you, your star will shine brighter. 2. God says, He will speak peace to your storms 3. Certain individuals have been stagnated for sometimes, the reasons for your stagnation will become known, will be addressed and will be eliminated, therefore progress will follow. 4. In many senses of the word, this year will be of completeness. FOR NIGERIA: 1. The prayers of some of you minimized death of prominent Nigerians last year, don’t stop praying. 2. Before the middle of the year, many will say hope rising. 3. Learn from disasters of 2012 and take precaution soonest to avert bigger ones.. INTERNATIONAL: 1. The Lord says prominent world leaders need a lot prayers so as not to die in office. 2. Prominent Church leaders need prayers against planned scandals. 3. Weather conditions may get worse, much worst, unless prayers are intensified. 4. We should expect a major breakthrough in medicine this year. 5. Nations who pass unholy laws will have a taste of divine fury. By Pastor Enoch Adeboye (Gen. Overseer RCCG Worldwide)

April 2013 Declaring His Power

Glorious things of thee are spoken, Zion, city of our God; God, whose word cannot be broken, Formed thee for his own abode. On the Rock of Ages founded, What can shake thy sure repose? With salvation's walls surrounded, Thou mayst smile at all thy foes. See, the streams of living waters, Springing from eternal love, Well supply thy sons and daughters, And all fear of want remove. Who can faint while such a river Ever will their thirst assuage? Grace which like the Lord, the giver, Never fails from age to age. Round each habitation hovering, See the cloud and fire appear For a glory and a covering, Showing that the Lord is near! Thus deriving from our banner Light by night and shade by day, Safe we feed upon the manna Which God gives us when we pray. Like Us on Facebook

The Power of God Can Deliver

- By Minister Aderemi ADELUGBA

RETHREN, this is to remind you that, God’s absolute power is at work in your life. Luke 10:19 says, “Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you”. God has released His power upon your life for a purpose. He does not want you to suffer in the hand of your oppressors and, perhaps your enemies. Therefore, it is your duty to recognise and call the power of God to work in your life at all time. Be reminded that, your future is secured with the power of God. Stop fretting when issues of life confront you. Be bold enough to tread upon them with power. If you are unaware of the power you are carrying, issues of life would want to tamper with the destiny of God in your life. Situations that may represent oppression and enemies include: fear, discrimination, failure, discouragement, addiction, joblessness, sickness, lack of money and many more. It does not matter what they are called, the Lord will grant you the power to confront and overcome them in Jesus name. If you must overcome, the following five points would help and encourage you as Christians. You must understand the power you are carrying: John 1:21 says, “But as many as have received him, to them, he gave power to become the sons of God, even to them that believed Him”. Every Christian must understand the purpose of their faith, and the empowerment of God. They also need to believe that oppression and suffering is not the reward for their faith. There must be seasons and times of rejoicing. It is not in the place of God that you should always be defeated. Wars and battles of your life should be won and, you are winning them in Jesus name. How would you then be able to win these wars and battles without the knowledge and the understanding of what God has deposited in you? Ephesians 6:12 says “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places”. It would be impossible to win with arsenal and sophisticated weapons, but by the power of God, you will win in Jesus name. For by strength shall no man prevail. Therefore, begin to possess your possession and activate the power of God in your life. You must showcase the power of God to your oppressors: The Lord told Moses, no matter your ability, Pharaoh would just not let you go. Exodus 3:19-20 says “And I am sure that the king of Egypt will not let you go, no, not by a mighty hand. 20 And I will stretch out my hand, and smite Egypt with all my wonders which I will do in the midst thereof: and after that he will let you go”. The Lord is the I AM THAT I AM. You need to activate the power of God in your life, so that you would be able to stand before any Pharaoh and demand your liberty. Moses was really scared in the beginning but God activated His power in His life and, he became bold. He stood before the ordinary king, and declared the verdict of the King of Kings. Moses encountered God and his life changed from that moment onward. For you to showcase the power that the Lord has imputed into your life, you need to pray constantly, not a once in a while prayer. Seek the Lord always, and He will trigger his power in your life to be showcased to your oppressors in Jesus name. You must stop acknowledging the size of your oppressors: The Lord is not limited by strength and stature. Size and stature of your oppressors cannot withstand the power of God in your life. Isaiah 40:28-31 says “He giveth power to the faint, and to them that has no might he increaseth strength”. In 1 Samuel 17:1-51, Goliath was described as a giant and, his height was unimaginable. Neither the height nor weight is important when confronting your oppressors. David the youngest of Jesse’s son stood up to that Goliath. His brothers were afraid of Goliath. They even thought David was only a spectator, who visited the battlefield to see what way the fight would go. They did not know that David was a carrier of God’s power. He was not moved by the size and height of Goliath. For you to win any war posed against you by your oppressors, you must stop thinking of the size or height of the problem.
