APRIL 2013 THEME:

Praying And Getting Results

Text: 2 Chro 4: 0-10 - By Minister Gabriel ADUNMADE RAYER and faith are two essentials ingredient in the life of every Christian who will fulfil the plan of God for their life. A lot of Christians key into this fact, they pray fervently and have genuine faith as well. Despite all these, it is as if their prayer is not being answered or God is not willing to grant their request. This is not so, the simple reason is that there is a missing link. That missing link will be filled up this morning in Jesus name

P

Let us explore Jabez four prayer points and see why God granted him all is request. 1. Oh that you would bless me indeed { Greater success} 2. And enlarge my territory {Greater influence} 3. That your hand will be with me {Greater Power} 4. And that you will keep me from evil, that I may not cause pain (Greater Protection). There are other conditions he fulfilled. GREATER SUCCESS: All God’s promises come with conditions attached to them. Before you pray for prosperity, pray for purpose, because God will not finance self indulgence. Success without character can derail someone or even destroy such an individual. You don’t have to do anything to earn God’s love. For God so love the whole world, that He gave us His only begotten son........ John 3 vs. 16. And while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. But there are certain things we have to do to experience His blessing. We cannot have Thomas faith and be expecting Abraham blessing. In Deut. 28, All the blessings pronounced by God from verses 2 to 14 can only be ours if we fulfil the condition in verse 1; It shall come to pass if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the Lord thy God, to observe and to do all His commandments which I command thee this day... God does not mind us having money, He just mind money having us. How faithful are we in all the things that God has blessed us with; money, material possession, time etc. How much of our time do we spend in the present of God out of 168hrs we have in a week? Perhaps for most of us, 2hrs every Sunday. And the Bible says in Jos. 1 vs. 8 that this book of law shall not depart from your mouth, thou shall meditate therein day and night... GREATER INFLUENCE: John Maxwell said, during your life time, you will directly or indirectly impact the lives of at least 10,000 other people. The question is how you will impact them. Apostle Paul is a typical example. The 13 books he wrote in the New Testament, most of them he wrote while in Roman prison have influenced millions of people today. When you leave this world, your material possession will go to others; the only thing that will remain is your influence. Ecl.2 verses 18 and 19. GREATER POWER: Anything done in our own strength will fail miserably, or will succeed even more miserably. God has a habit of calling us to do things which are so far beyond our natural ability, that if He does not empower us or intervene on our behalf, we will fail. He will never give us assignment which does not require His direct participation. If you can do it without God, then it is not from God. Jabez understood this that was why he prayed, Lord, when I am successful, keep me dependent on you, and don’t let me get out of balance. Help me to keep first thing first, Jabez knew that the more successful one is, the more influence one has, the more one must rely on God. GREATER PROTECTION: The more you have, the more you will have to lose. And the busier you are, the more you have to fight your to maintain your walk with God. A strong start is important, but it does not guarantee a strong finish. A good example is that of Samson and Demark. Samson started strong, yet he ended up losing his vision, his freedom, his influence, his power and ultimately his life. Why? Declaring His Power

EHOVAH is the Creator of the Heaven and the Earth and all that is in them. He made all things for His pleasure and He does as He pleases. It is not possible to challenge God or question His wisdom. He is simply sovereign (Job 9:12; Dan 4:35; Eccl. 8:4). God gave all His creatures a special characteristic: the power of self-will. This made it possible that spirits and humans try to do whatever they like excluding God from the picture. However, whenever God could not stand the flagrant disrespect of His person and the wickedness of man's heart, He always appears in the picture to declare His power. The bible tells us of the ordeal of the children of Israel in the land of Egypt when the Pharaoh that loved Joseph had died, the Israelites became slaves and were subjected to terrible treatments by their taskmasters (Ex. 3:7-10). The situation became worse till God could not allowed it any longer and as such vowed to declare His power (Ex. 3:19-20). God began series of punishments in the form of plaques on the Egyptians and later ended with the death of the firstborn of both man and animals in Egypt after which the Israelites regained their freedom by force (Ex. 12:31-33). In this month of April, following the Feast of Passover, the Almighty God will declare His power and might on our behalf. God will disallow every negative situation we are going through. God will orchestrate series of punishments upon our enemies. He will seize the firstlings of all our enemies. He will also enforce our freedom with His outstretch arm in Jesus name. THE RCCG (EVERLASTING FATHER’S ASSEMBLY) 2013 PROPHECY. THEME: OUR YEAR OF GOD’S REST Isaiah 65: 21-24, Isaiah 14:1-4

I

WAS meditating recently to find out from God what will be our theme for 2013. There were certain challenges I saw in 2012 that I was asking God to completely eradicate in the next. God answered and said, "All covenanted ministries (whether individual or church) will hit major storm in their 3rd year. If the ministry escapes that by grace, a greater storm will come against it in its 6th year. If the ministry equally escapes the double storm, it will then qualify for the blessings of the 7th year”. For us in Everlasting Father's Assembly, there were storms that we went through at three years. To the glory of God, we escape them all. Also at six years, thank God for all the astounding accomplishments that we have enjoyed, we also escaped double storms. Glory be to God! So I asked God, since we have escaped the sixth year, what is the blessing of the seventh year? He took me back to the creation of the world. He said, ‘What did the bible says I did on the seventh day’? And I said that You rested from Your labours. So, God said "2013 is your year of My rest". Note that it is the God's rest, not our kind of rest. The bible says that God does not sleep nor slumber (Ps. 121:4). So it's not a rest of sleep. Neither is it of folding of hands. It is a rest from excessive labours and entering into excessive favours. The seventh day was a time when God stopped creating on this earth, but switched to watching over what He has created. In 2013, God will help us to look after what He has created for us and through us. We will supervise and oversee machinery that will run itself. Every system that God has helped us to create will begin to work for us. Grace will supersede haste. There was a time when the Israelites were fighting Canaan, the Israelites were outnumbered. So God began to use constellations to fight for them (Judges 5:20). God will assign hosts of heaven to work for us in 2013 .

THE RCCG (WORLDWIDE) 2013 PROPHECY

Year of Signs & Wonders

FOR INDIVIDUALS: 1. No matter the darkness around you, your star will shine brighter. 2. God says, He will speak peace to your storms 3. Certain individuals have been stagnated for sometimes, the reasons for your stagnation will become known, will be addressed and will be eliminated, therefore progress will follow. 4. In many senses of the word, this year will be of completeness. FOR NIGERIA: 1. The prayers of some of you minimized death of prominent Nigerians last year, don’t stop praying. 2. Before the middle of the year, many will say hope rising. 3. Learn from disasters of 2012 and take precaution soonest to avert bigger ones.. INTERNATIONAL: 1. The Lord says prominent world leaders need a lot prayers so as not to die in office. 2. Prominent Church leaders need prayers against planned scandals. 3. Weather conditions may get worse, much worst, unless prayers are intensified. 4. We should expect a major breakthrough in medicine this year. 5. Nations who pass unholy laws will have a taste of divine fury. By Pastor Enoch Adeboye (Gen. Overseer RCCG Worldwide)

CONGREGATIONAL HYMN THE GOD OF ABRAHAM PRAISE The God of Abraham praise, who reigns enthroned above; Ancient of everlasting days, and God of Love; Jehovah, great I AM! by earth and Heav’n confessed; I bow and bless the sacred Name forever blessed.

The God of Abraham praise, at Whose supreme command From earth I rise—and seek the joys at His right hand; I all on earth forsake, its wisdom, fame, and power; And Him my only Portion make, my Shield and Tower. The God of Abraham praise, whose all sufficient grace Shall guide me all my happy days, in all my ways. He calls a worm His friend, He calls Himself my God! And He shall save me to the end, thro’ Jesus’ blood. He by Himself has sworn; I on His oath depend, I shall, on eagle wings upborne, to Heav’n ascend. I shall behold His face; I shall His power adore, And sing the wonders of His grace forevermore. The goodly land I see, with peace and plenty bless’d; A land of sacred liberty, and endless rest. There milk and honey flow, and oil and wine abound, And trees of life forever grow with mercy crowned.

Before the great Three-One they all exulting stand; And tell the wonders He hath done, through all their land: The list’ning spheres attend, and swell the growing fame; And sing, in songs which never end, the wondrous Name. Like Us on Facebook http://www.facebook.com/RCCGEFA

The Necessity of Power

- By Pastor Samuel OBAFAIYE

N life, there are several things that are very crucial in order to have a victorious and successful living. I particularly feel the seven most important are: wisdom; knowledge; understanding; power; good health; sound mind and long life. Today I like to speak briefly on power. My father used to tell us a saying as I grew up, especially when our mother passed on to glory that, "Aiye yi o se gbe ni gbunduku". Translated as "One can't just live in this world anyhow". In essence, what he was saying is that one must have some sort of power to live a victorious life, otherwise one will be a victim of life. He would therefore advocate the name of Jesus that it's more powerful than all other powers that be. What is power? Dictionary defines it as the ability or capacity to do something or act in a particular way. There are things we ought to do as persons and there are ways we ought to act, if the power to do such is absent, then the person will not be able to do or act appropriately. Jesus at the inception of His ministry recognised He needed power to succeed. So He went into the wilderness for forty days and nights to generate necessary power. Satan however went to Him quickly to offer Him a lesser power (Lk. 4:5-8). 5 And the devil, taking him up into an high mountain, shewed unto him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time. 6 And the devil said unto him, All this power will I give thee, and the glory of them: for that is delivered unto me; and to whomsoever I will I give it. 7 If thou therefore wilt worship me, all shall be thine. 8 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Get thee behind me, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve. Thank God Jesus refused and shortly afterwards was given a higher and adequate power (Lk. 4:14-15).14 And Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit into Galilee: and there went out a fame of him through all the region round about. 15 And he taught in their synagogues, being glorified of all. The bible make us to know that God anointed Him with Holy Ghost and with power. It was then that Jesus was empowered to do many good and great things (Acts. 10:38). 38 How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him. It follows therefore that when Jesus was to send out the Twelve apostles in Mark 6:7, as well as the seventy disciples in Luke 10:1, He asked them not to take anything on the journey with them. All He gave them was power and authority. Interestingly, they came back with victorious and wonderful testimonies. Later when Jesus was to depart this world, He strongly advised the disciples not to go out preaching until they have received the power necessary to do so, despite the fact that they have been with Him and have the knowledge of what He normally does (Lk. 24:49). 49 And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high. Therefore, as a child of God, to be able to live a victorious Christian life, we need power with our knowledge of Jesus. Moses was a man that God used to declare His power on earth. The rod of Moses became the rod of God. With the rod Moses did many signs and wonders (Ex. 4:17). When Moses was to be taken away, Joshua was chosen by God to replace him. God made sure that Joshua was given adequate power to act in that position (Num. 27:1821).
