Resurrection Story: A Fable or A Reality? - By Pastor Samuel Obafaiye HE crucial difference between Christianity and other religion of the world is the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Other leaders of faith died and remained in their graves. Jesus is more than a prophet, guru, priest, or king. Some of the most celebrated persons in Israel: Abraham, Moses, David, Elijah, John the Baptist, Samuel, Jacob. Jesus is higher than them all, even David refer to him as Lord. It is sad that some Christian leaders today think Easter’s story is a fiction that we just need to share. If someone tells you that somebody you witnessed his death and burial had resurrected from the dead, what evidence will you be looking for in order to believe? A Pastor asked his congregation this question with the following response: 1st Person: "If he told me something that only he and I knew, then I might believe it". 2nd Person: "If we sat down and had a meal together, then I will believe". 3rd Person: "If he appeared to lots of other people who knew him as well as I did, then I would know I wasn't dreaming or having a strange vision". It is not easy to believe that someone you knew how they died, how they were buried had come back to life. Your first statement would be it's a lie! No wonder the Apostles of Jesus Christ initially did not believe (Mark 16:10-11) They had to look for certain proofs (Lk 24:10-12). Some evidence for Jesus resurrection Empty tomb: the women testified to the tomb empty (Mt 28:5-7); Peter and John saw it was empty (John 20:2-8); Romans military guards and Jewish elders undeniably testified that it was empty (Mt 28:11-15). They lost their mind.... If Jesus did not rise from the dead, where is His body? If it was stolen by His disciples as the Jewish leaders claimed, but to where? Buried on Friday evening, disappeared on Sunday morning, guarded by sixteen armed Roman soldiers, with Caesar seal on the tomb! Something extraordinary must have happened! He told the Apostles what only Him and them knew (Luke 24:44-45). No one could have told Him those confidential statements their Jesus had said before. He sat down to meal with the Apostles (Luke 24:41-43; John 21:1-14). Ghost do not eat, they can cause food to disappear He allowed the touch of His body after showing Himself to the Father (John 20:1117; Luke 24:36-40). Ghosts are like air without a physical body. Jesus had a glorified body. Jesus appeared to lots of people, so His resurrection was not an imagination of one looney person. A) Cleopas and Friend at Emmaus - Lk 24:13-31 B) Simon - Lk 24:34 C) Mary Magdalene - Mark 16:9 D) The disciples without Thomas - John 20:19-20 E) The disciples with Thomas - John 20:24-29 F) Over five hundred brethren - I Cor 15:3-6 quoting Acts 1:1-14. Even after His ascension, Christ still reveals Himself (Acts 9:1-7). Spiritual significance of the season of Easter Jesus chose a special time in Jewish calendar to die and rose again - The Passover period (Luke 22:1-8). He was actually betrayed on the Passover Night. What does that signify to us? A time of Divine judgment upon the enemies of God's children (Ex. 12:12-13).

EHOVAH is the Creator of the Heaven and the Earth and all that is in them. He made all things for His pleasure and He does as He pleases. It is not possible to challenge God or question His wisdom. He is simply sovereign (Job 9:12; Dan 4:35; Eccl. 8:4). God gave all His creatures a special characteristic: the power of self-will. This made it possible that spirits and humans try to do whatever they like excluding God from the picture. However, whenever God could not stand the flagrant disrespect of His person and the wickedness of man's heart, He always appears in the picture to declare His power. The bible tells us of the ordeal of the children of Israel in the land of Egypt when the Pharaoh that loved Joseph had died, the Israelites became slaves and were subjected to terrible treatments by their taskmasters (Ex. 3:7-10). The situation became worse till God could not allowed it any longer and as such vowed to declare His power (Ex. 3:19-20). God began series of punishments in the form of plaques on the Egyptians and later ended with the death of the firstborn of both man and animals in Egypt after which the Israelites regained their freedom by force (Ex. 12:31-33). In this month of April, following the Feast of Passover, the Almighty God will declare His power and might on our behalf. God will disallow every negative situation we are going through. God will orchestrate series of punishments upon our enemies. He will seize the firstlings of all our enemies. He will also enforce our freedom with His outstretch arm in Jesus name. WAS meditating recently to find out from God what will be our theme for 2013. There were certain challenges I saw in 2012 that I was asking God to completely eradicate in the next. God answered and said, "All covenanted ministries (whether individual or church) will hit major storm in their 3rd year. If the ministry escapes that by grace, a greater storm will come against it in its 6th year. If the ministry equally escapes the double storm, it will then qualify for the blessings of the 7th year”. For us in Everlasting Father's Assembly, there were storms that we went through at three years. To the glory of God, we escape them all. Also at six years, thank God for all the astounding accomplishments that we have enjoyed, we also escaped double storms. Glory be to God! So I asked God, since we have escaped the sixth year, what is the blessing of the seventh year? He took me back to the creation of the world. He said, ‘What did the bible says I did on the seventh day’? And I said that You rested from Your labours. So, God said "2013 is your year of My rest". Note that it is the God's rest, not our kind of rest. The bible says that God does not sleep nor slumber (Ps. 121:4). So it's not a rest of sleep. Neither is it of folding of hands. It is a rest from excessive labours and entering into excessive favours. The seventh day was a time when God stopped creating on this earth, but switched to watching over what He has created. In 2013, God will help us to look after what He has created for us and through us. We will supervise and oversee machinery that will run itself. Every system that God has helped us to create will begin to work for us. Grace will supersede haste. There was a time when the Israelites were fighting Canaan, the Israelites were outnumbered. So God began to use constellations to fight for them (Judges 5:20). God will assign hosts of heaven to work for us in 2013 . By Pastor Samuel Obafaiye

THE RCCG (WORLDWIDE) 2013 PROPHECY THEME: YEAR OF SIGNS AND WONDERS FOR INDIVIDUALS: 1. No matter the darkness around you, your star will shine brighter. 2. God says, He will speak peace to your storms 3. Certain individuals have been stagnated for sometimes, the reasons for your stagnation will become known, will be addressed and will be eliminated, therefore progress will follow. 4. In many senses of the word, this year will be of completeness. FOR NIGERIA: 1. The prayers of some of you minimized death of prominent Nigerians last year, don’t stop praying. 2. Before the middle of the year, many will say hope rising. 3. Learn from disasters of 2012 and take precaution soonest to avert bigger ones.. INTERNATIONAL: 1. The Lord says prominent world leaders need a lot prayers so as not to die in office. 2. Prominent Church leaders need prayers against planned scandals. 3. Weather conditions may get worse, much worst, unless prayers are intensified. 4. We should expect a major breakthrough in medicine this year. 5. Nations who pass unholy laws will have a taste of divine fury. By Pastor Enoch Adeboye (Gen. Overseer RCCG Worldwide)

All hail the power of Jesus’ Name! Let angels prostrate fall; Bring forth the royal diadem, and crown Him Lord of all. Bring forth the royal diadem, and crown Him Lord of all. Let highborn seraphs tune the lyre, and as they tune it, fall Before His face Who tunes their choir, and crown Him Lord of all. Before His face Who tunes their choir, and crown Him Lord of all. Hail Him, ye heirs of David’s line, whom David Lord did call, The God incarnate, Man divine, and crown Him Lord of all, The God incarnate, Man divine, and crown Him Lord of all. Sinners, whose love can ne’er forget the wormwood and the gall, Go spread your trophies at His feet, and crown Him Lord of all. Go spread your trophies at His feet, and crown Him Lord of all. Let every tribe and every tongue before Him prostrate fall And shout in universal song the crownèd Lord of all. And shout in universal song the crownèd Lord of all.

Loose Him & Let Him Go

- By Pastor (Mrs) Anthonia Obafaiye

HE Theme of the month of March is ‘Translated unto life’ as spoken by God through His Prophet and I perceive in my spirit that God is setting someone here free in Jesus name. The Bible says in John 8: 36 that whosoever the Son of man sets free is free indeed. The Bible yet again says in Isa. 49: 24-25 that even the lawful captives, the Lord sets free, so in other words there is nothing too difficult for our God who sits in Heaven and does as He pleases to do. With Him all things are possible. The month of March is the 3rd month of the year, 3 is the number of The Trinity. 3 is a number of perfection and I decree that The Good Lord will perfect all that concerns you in Jesus name. The Bible makes us to understand that on the 3rd day (on a Sunday like this) over 2000 years ago that Jesus the Son of The Most High God rose from the dead and He is alive And reigns forever more. He is the Resurrection and Life and the Bible says whomsoever believes in Him will have life and have it in abundance. The Bible makes us to understand that there was a family that our Lord Jesus loved so much Mary (Matt. 26: 7- 13) this was the lady with the alabaster of expensive ointment that anointed Jesus with this ointment and wiped our Lord's feet with her tears and hair) and Jesus Himself testified that wherever the gospel is preached that she will be remembered for this thing she did and this was the first woman to also see Jesus after he had resurrected, Martha and Lazarus. It came to pass that Lazarus one day, fell sick and a message was sent unto Jesus by his sisters that the one He loved was sick and when Jesus heard this he said 'This sickness is not unto death, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God might be glorified thereby. So Brethren when we find ourselves in some situations that we begin to wonder oh whom have I offended, why am I passing through this, ah this is too much for me to bear, has it ever occurred to us that maybe God wants to glorify Himself through that situation. The Bible yet again made us to understand that Jesus abode two days in the same place where he was, sometimes we desire that The Lord should answer us now, not knowing that God's time is the best and that He makes everything beautiful in His own time. And when Jesus got to Bethany He found out that Lazarus had been in the grave for four days. Humanly speaking all hope was lost for Lazarus, His sisters had accepted their fate, for them they thought the battle was over they had believed in their hearts that they will their Brother on the Resurrection morning. But Divinely speaking the battle had just began because it is not yet over until God says it is over. Jesus is our only Hope of Glory, with Him all things are possible, He is the Resurrection and Life, He is the Rock that can never fail. When He says Yes no one can say No. When He opens the Door no one can shut. The Bible says in Heb 4: 15, For we have not an High Priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. The Bible says that when Jesus saw Mary, Martha and Jews weeping He was moved with compassion and He also wept and groaned in the spirit and was troubled and He asked where they had laid him and they took Him to Lazarus' s grave. And the Bible makes us to believe that when death met with the one that created it, death bowed to his creator. I prophesy to someone here that whatsoever seems dead in your life or is about to die in your life receives the life of Jesus now in Jesus name.
