How Empowered Are You? - By Pastor Samuel OBAFAIYE
OWER is obviously one of the most sought after thing in the world. It has always been so that people seek to obtain power, most time at all cost. People could cheat, steal, kill or even destroy to obtain or retain power. What happened as a wave in the Middle East recently is a quest to either obtain or retain power at all cost. Egypt, Libya, Algeria, Syria, etc., are such examples. Power is very crucial, as the level of one's power usually determines how much influence and authority one can exert. That is why people go to any length to seize power or hold onto power. Absalom was a choice son of King David. He however tried to kill his father because of power. He was already a notable and popular prince. But he wanted more. He died in the process. It will not be your portion in Jesus name. Simon the sorcerer got born again not genuinely. Yet he needed the sort of power that the Apostles had. He then tried to bribe Peter to obtain such (Acts 8:9-24). May God make you very powerful in Jesus name. At a time in history, King Nebuchadnezzar was the most powerful man on Earth. He made a decree that everyone should bow to his graven image. Shedrack, Meshack and Abednego refused to bow. So it became a contest of powers. It happened that the greatest Power ruled the day. May God demonstrate His power through you. Nebuchadnezzar that was boasting before, he became gentle when he saw four people strolling in the fire! He later declared that the God of Shedrach, Meshack and Abednego was the greatest (Dan. 3:26-30). An interesting thing about power is that it's not a correlation of quantity, but quality. That was why Samson alone was able to kill 1,000 Philistines with a jawbone of an ass. May God empower you surprisingly in Jesus name. At Mount Sinai, when Moses came down from the mount, the Israelites had started worshipping the golden calf. Moses gave a call to the people for those who were still on the Lord's side to come to him and the rest of the congregation to move to the other side. It was only the tribe of Levi that declared that they were on the Lord's side. Moses then gave the Levi the order to attack the others. How possible could that be? Ratio 1:12. Some tribes were also lager than the tribe of Levi. God must have tied the hands of the other eleven tribes for the Levites to kill 3000 of them just like that (Ex. 32: 25-28). May God tie the hands of anything and everything that opposes the will of God for your life in Jesus name. May everything that is exulting itself above God in your life be silenced by Jehovah. Gideon was chosen by God to lead the Israelites to battle against the Midianites. The shocking part was that he was to take 300 men who had no weapon of war to face 300,000 men who were dangerously armed. With a ratio 1:3,000, it was a very dangerous mission to embark upon. The only difference was that the 300 were empowered by The Living God, while the 300,000 were empowered by idols. May Jehovah the Man of war empower you to face any other god. May He grant you strength to defeat the 'Midians' against your destiny. May the 'sword of God' deliver you from the battles of life. Elisha was in Dothan and the Syrian Army found out. They set to go and arrest him. It was a ratio of one to a Nation. What they didn't know is that Elisha's power was more than theirs. Angels with chariots were always around Elisha. With a spoken word, the Syrian Army became physically blind and helpless (2 kings 6:15-18). May you be stronger than even a nation in Jesus name. May the angels of God encamp round about you. May God render your enemies helpless and blinded in Jesus name. How can I become very powerful? Believe in Jesus name (John 6:28-29). Peter and John demonstrated it in John 3:1-11. Pray and fast (Mt. 17:14-21). Receive the baptism of the Holy Ghost (Acts 1:8; 2:1-4) Pray in tongues (Jude 1:20) Live holy. Do not contaminate the power (1 Kings 13:1-32). The Not Sleeping God
LEEPING is something that virtually all living organism observe. Humans, animals and even plants (stomata) do sleep. Through sleep, zoological organism’s lost energy is replenished; the brain gets to rest; dead tissues are replaced; physical growth is experienced; etc. It is interesting to note that gods do sleep as well! In the land of Egypt, when Moses and Aaron were declaring the power of God by bringing down plaques upon the people, the Bible said the magician of Egypt would replicate the same thing too. But when it came to the third plaque of lice, the gods of Egypt went to sleep (Ex. 8:16-19). Also at the contest on Mount Carmel, when Elijah was faced with the 450 prophets of Baal and 400 prophets of Asherah; the God that would send fire from the sky and consume their prepared sacrifice was to be acclaimed God by all! The prophet of Baal agreed to the contest because they believed their god would send the fire or has sent such fire before. Unfortunately, on that fateful day, Baal was asleep. So it happened that the God of Elijah was acclaimed the Living God (I Kings 18:18-39). Psalm 121:4 tells us that the God of Israel does not sleep nor slumber. This is great news to us who believe in this God. It means that we are enjoying 24/7 heavenly surveillance and nothing can happen to us that is unknown to God. In this month of May, the Almighty God will be very active in our lives; He will not let anything bad happen to us; He will also answer us promptly whenever we call upon Him in Jesus name. THE RCCG (EVERLASTING FATHER’S ASSEMBLY) 2013 PROPHECY. THEME: OUR YEAR OF GOD’S REST Isaiah 65: 21-24, Isaiah 14:1-4
WAS meditating recently to find out from God what will be our theme for 2013. There were certain challenges I saw in 2012 that I was asking God to completely eradicate in the next. God answered and said, "All covenanted ministries (whether individual or church) will hit major storm in their 3rd year. If the ministry escapes that by grace, a greater storm will come against it in its 6th year. If the ministry equally escapes the double storm, it will then qualify for the blessings of the 7th year”. For us in Everlasting Father's Assembly, there were storms that we went through at three years. To the glory of God, we escape them all. Also at six years, thank God for all the astounding accomplishments that we have enjoyed, we also escaped double storms. Glory be to God! So I asked God, since we have escaped the sixth year, what is the blessing of the seventh year? He took me back to the creation of the world. He said, ‘What did the bible says I did on the seventh day’? And I said that You rested from Your labours. So, God said "2013 is your year of My rest". Note that it is the God's rest, not our kind of rest. The bible says that God does not sleep nor slumber (Ps. 121:4). So it's not a rest of sleep. Neither is it of folding of hands. It is a rest from excessive labours and entering into excessive favours. The seventh day was a time when God stopped creating on this earth, but switched to watching over what He has created. In 2013, God will help us to look after what He has created for us and through us. We will supervise and oversee machinery that will run itself. Every system that God has helped us to create will begin to work for us. Grace will supersede haste. There was a time when the Israelites were fighting Canaan, the Israelites were outnumbered. So God began to use constellations to fight for them (Judges 5:20). God will assign hosts of heaven to work for us in 2013 . By Pastor Samuel Obafaiye
THE RCCG (WORLDWIDE) 2013 PROPHECY
Year of Signs & Wonders
FOR INDIVIDUALS: 1. No matter the darkness around you, your star will shine brighter. 2. God says, He will speak peace to your storms 3. Certain individuals have been stagnated for sometimes, the reasons for your stagnation will become known, will be addressed and will be eliminated, therefore progress will follow. 4. In many senses of the word, this year will be of completeness. FOR NIGERIA: 1. The prayers of some of you minimized death of prominent Nigerians last year, don’t stop praying. 2. Before the middle of the year, many will say hope rising. 3. Learn from disasters of 2012 and take precaution soonest to avert bigger ones.. INTERNATIONAL: 1. The Lord says prominent world leaders need a lot prayers so as not to die in office. 2. Prominent Church leaders need prayers against planned scandals. 3. Weather conditions may get worse, much worst, unless prayers are intensified. 4. We should expect a major breakthrough in medicine this year. 5. Nations who pass unholy laws will have a taste of divine fury. By Pastor Enoch Adeboye (Gen. Overseer RCCG Worldwide)

Our God Whom We Serve WillText: Deliver Us Dan. 3: 1- 30 - By Pastor (Mrs) Anthonia OBAFAIYE
N Isa. 59: 19, the bible says, ‘So shall they fear the name of The Lord from the west and His glory from the rising of the Sun. When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of The Lord shall lift up a standard against him’. My prayer for someone here is that The Lord God Almighty will deliver you from the hands of your enemies in Jesus name. He will send you help from His Sanctuary in Jesus name. Brethren believe it or not there is always a day of trouble even our Lord Jesus when He was on this earth was tempted of the Devil in Matt. 4:1 - 11, there is always a day of trouble, there is always a day when your enemies will gather (both within and outside). The Bible has made us to understand in Isa. 43:2 that it is not about if, but when, so as long as you belong to Jesus, we have a consolation and joy in Jesus that when this happens we must rejoice because our victory is sure. We are more than Conquerors through Christ Jesus that has called and loved us. The month of April 2013 has been declared a month of declaring His Power by God Almighty through His Prophet as inspired by Holy Spirit. My prayer for someone here is that God will declare His power through you, for you and against your enemies in Jesus name. Brethren I will love for us to examine this biblical text under the context of God declaring His power, through us, for us and against our enemies. Before God can declare His power through us, we need to make ourselves available, we need to be ready to yield our body, soul and spirit to Him, we must be ready to do whatever He says we should do even if it might cost us our lives in the process. The Bible says we should not be afraid of the one that can only kill the body but the One that can destroy the body and soul in Hell (Matt. 10:28). The Bible says if anyone loses his life for the sake of the gospel, he will find his life, in other words he will be rewarded with Eternal life. Apostle Paul says in Gal. 2:20 I am crucified with Christ nevertheless I live yet not I but Christ lives in me and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of God who loved me and gave himself for me. We must be ready to spend and be spent for our God (2 Cor. 12: 15) ‘And I will very gladly spend and be spent for you though the more abundantly I love you the less I be loved’. Salvation is free even though someone paid with His dear life (the blood of Jesus) but sustaining that salvation is not cheap, from the day you give your life to Jesus and accept Him as Lord and saviour your work of sustaining your salvation begins. The Bible says in Phillip. 2:12 that we should work out our salvation with fear and trembling. The 3 Hebrew men had done this, they knew their God (Dan. 11:32) ‘They that know their God shall be strong and do exploits for Him’. They were in a strange land yet they were singing the Lord's song, they refused to be defiled with the meat and wine that came from the king's table. They refused to worship the created even if it meant them defying the king of the land. They not only stopped at surrendering themselves to God, knowing and obeying Him but they made themselves available for God to declare His power through them, The Bible says in Dan. 3:17-18, the 3 Hebrew men said, 'If it be so, Our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace and He will deliver us out of thine hand, O king But if not, we will not serve thy gods, nor worship the golden image which thou hast set up'. Brethren this was more than a statement because it was backed up with their faith in God and God was moved a step forward to declare His power & glory for them, because the king was full of fury and anger that these boys had defied his authority and he commanded that the furnace be heated seven times more hotter than it was before, and that the most mighty men that were in his army bound them and casted them into the burning fiery furnace.
