Clarion call to the Almighty God: For signs, wonders and miracles - By Pastor Samuel Obafaiye

HE prophecy for us throughout RCCG this year is that God will do signs and wonders in our lives. This message is to challenge our God to wrought such wonders in our lives here in EFA as we longed for them greatly. The Bible is full of signs,

wonders and miracles. Biblical signs are Divinely revealed indicators or visible things that give understanding to a mystery or confirmation to a prophecy. Some of these are: - Rainbow for not destroying the world again with water (Gen. 9:9-17). I will water thy carmel also - Abraham servant (Gen. 24:14). Show me thy glory - for God presence and rest with Moses. Swaddling clothes, lying in a manger - for the birth of Messiah. Except I see the print of the nails - Thomas for Christ resurrection. Are you waiting on God for explanation concerning a mystery? Are you trusting God for confirmation to a promise or prophesy? May God give you a sign in Jesus name. Wonders are things that arouse awe, astonishment, surprise or amazement. Such as:- The birth of Isaac was a wonder. The sacrificial lamb for Isaac on Mount Moriah was a wonder. 10 plaques in Egypt were wonders. The gift of the Holy Ghost on Pentecost was a wonder. In this year 2013, may God surprise and amaze you for good in Jesus name. Miracles are certain effects or extraordinary events in the physical world that surpasses all human or natural laws and so are considered to be Divine. Examples are:- Parting of Red Sea. Parting of Jordan River. The birth of Jesus. Jesus walking on water. Raising Lazarus from the dead. Any aspect of your life that require a miracle, may God effect it today in Jesus name. I therefore see a progression from signs to wonders and then to miracles. May your life not lack any of them in Jesus name. Gideon is a man that asked God the question, "Where be all His miracles?" the children of Isreal sinned against God, and they were handed over to the Midianites for 7 years to punish. At the end of the 7 years, they repented and God sent a prophet to them to remind them of His promises and their duties. I stand as the prophet of God before you today, to admonish you to cry unto God for mercy and He will put an end to any oppression in your life in Jesus name. Does this seem like your statement to God? Judges 6:13 And Gideon said unto him, Oh my Lord, if the Lord be with us, why then is all this befallen us? and where be all his miracles which our fathers told us of, saying, Did not the Lord bring us up from Egypt? but now the Lord hath forsaken us, and delivered us into the hands of the Midianites. Is anyone saying where is the evidence that God is with me? Or could it be that you are saying, 'where are His acts if He is with us?' God said He was with Gideon, yet he was hiding from his enemies. His crops and livestock were been carted away by the enemy. No wonder he was asking the 'man' for proof of God's abiding with them. Gideon was given the sign of Elijah. Fire came from nowhere and consume his offering. May God demonstrate His presence with you evidentially in Jesus name. Mark 16:17-18 17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; 18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. If we should take God by His word literally, which we ought, then the question is, 'Where are these signs Lord'? Have we not believe enough? If God be with us, where are these signs? Why should the devil still oppress some of us? Where are the new tongues? Why should His people be hurt when they drink deadly something? Or why should we lay hands on some sick folks and yet not recovered? Where be all the miracles? Thank God, Gideon began to experience miracles. His meal was received by fire! His fleece was wet but the ground was dry. Then the fleece was dry and the ground wet. He was later to overcome the Midianites with just 300 unarmed men! You will begin to experience the miracles of God in Jesus name. FACTOR NECESSARY FOR SIGNS AND WONDERS Repentance - Gideon destroy the altar of Baal in their compound and raised another altar unto God (Judges 6:25-27). Peter told the people at Jerusalem to repent and be baptised to receive the wonder of speaking in tongues (Acts 2: 38) What altar do you need to destroy for that of God to be raised in your life? Believing the word of God - Gideon believed that the miraculous stories passed down to him by their ancestors were actually life occurrences. Judges 6:13b and where be all his miracles which our fathers told us of, saying, Did not the Lord bring us up from Egypt? Noah built the Ark because he believed. Moses stretched forth his rod to the Red Sea because he believed Joshua marched round Jericho because he believed. Do you believe the biblical miracles? Do you believe the testimonies you hear? Offering - Gideon gave an offering (kid, cake & soup) in verse 19 and made a sacrifice of a 7 year old bullock in verse 25-27. We are 7 years old at Everlasting Father's Assembly to the glory of the Almighty God and may wonders happen with us in Jesus name. What can you give as offering to God? What is that sacrifice that God has require of you? Have you redeemed it? Let go of your preconceived ideas - Gideon thought the more soldiers you take to war, the greater your tendency of winning. - Operation Desert Storm 1990. But God proved him wrong. 300 people were used to subdue the Midianites, Amalekites and children from the east. What was needed was for the Spirit of the Lord to be upon him (Judges 6:33-34). The Spirit of God upon David made the difference among all men that faced Goliath. The Spirit of God upon Jephtar made the difference to face the Ammonites. The Spirit of God upon Samson made the difference to face the Philistines. May your life be consecrated unto God and may His Spirit come upon you in Jesus name. Excerpts of a sermon delivered by Pastor Samuel Obafaiye on 27th January 2013.

LEANSING could be defined as: make something thoroughly clean; rid (a person, place, or thing) of something seen as unpleasant, unwanted, or defiling. To remove impurities, dirt, filth; to remove guilt; to purge; etc. when this cleansing is an act of God or done to please God, it would then be Divine cleansing. God is always looking for a cleansed vessel to anoint, empower and use for His own glory. Also, for someone to be able to experience and perform miracles, purity of heart and flesh are prerequisite. As the children of Israel were looking forward in anticipation to witness the miracle of the parting of the Jordan River in order to enter into their Promised Land, the call to sanctify or cleanse themselves was proclaimed throughout their camp to witness and partake in such an astounding occurrence (Joshua 3:5). As soon as that was achieved, the priests of God bore the Ark of the Covenant ahead and stepped into the River Jordan. Alas, the miraculous happened! The water was divided and the Israelites walked on dry ground! In this month of February, we are to sanctify and consecrate ourselves more for a greater anointing, empowerment and use by the Most High. We are to rid ourselves of any impurity and guilt. God will also purge our Assembly so that miracles, signs and wonders will be a constant experience among us in Jesus name . . By Pastor Samuel Obafaiye

WAS meditating recently to find out from God what will be our theme for 2013. There were certain challenges I saw in 2012 that I was asking God to completely eradicate in the next. God answered and said, "All covenanted ministries (whether individual or church) will hit major storm in their 3rd year. If the ministry escapes that by grace, a greater storm will come against it in its 6th year. If the ministry equally escapes the double storm, it will then qualify for the blessings of the 7th year”. For us in Everlasting Father's Assembly, there were storms that we went through at three years. To the glory of God, we escape them all. Also at six years, thank God for all the astounding accomplishments that we have enjoyed, we also escaped double storms. Glory be to God! So I asked God, since we have escaped the sixth year, what is the blessing of the seventh year? He took me back to the creation of the world. He said, ‘What did the bible says I did on the seventh day’? And I said that You rested from Your labours. So, God said "2013 is your year of My rest". Note that it is the God's rest, not our kind of rest. The bible says that God does not sleep nor slumber (Ps. 121:4). So it's not a rest of sleep. Neither is it of folding of hands. It is a rest from excessive labours and entering into excessive favours. The seventh day was a time when God stopped creating on this earth, but switched to watching over what He has created. In 2013, God will help us to look after what He has created for us and through us. We will supervise and oversee machinery that will run itself. Every system that God has helped us to create will begin to work for us. Grace will supersede haste. There was a time when the Israelites were fighting Canaan, the Israelites were outnumbered. So God began to use constellations to fight for them (Judges 5:20). God will assign hosts of heaven to work for us in 2013 . By Pastor Samuel Obafaiye

THE RCCG (WORLDWIDE) 2013 PROPHECY THEME: YEAR OF SIGNS AND WONDERS FOR INDIVIDUALS: 1. No matter the darkness around you, your star will shine brighter. 2. God says, He will speak peace to your storms 3. Certain individuals have been stagnated for sometimes, the reasons for your stagnation will become known, will be addressed and will be eliminated, therefore progress will follow. 4. In many senses of the word, this year will be of completeness. FOR NIGERIA: 1. The prayers of some of you minimized death of prominent Nigerians last year, don’t stop praying. 2. Before the middle of the year, many will say hope rising. 3. Learn from disasters of 2012 and take precaution soonest to avert bigger ones.. INTERNATIONAL: 1. The Lord says prominent world leaders need a lot prayers so as not to die in office. 2. Prominent Church leaders need prayers against planned scandals. 3. Weather conditions may get worse, much worst, unless prayers are intensified. 4. We should expect a major breakthrough in medicine this year. 5. Nations who pass unholy laws will have a taste of divine fury. By Pastor Enoch Adeboye (Gen. Overseer RCCG Worldwide)

May the Lord find you to be a Man/Woman after His heart

- By Pastor (Mrs) Anthonia Obafaiye

HE month of January 2013 has been declared a month of Great Preamble by God Almighty through His Prophet as inspired by The Holy Spirit. The month of January is the first month of the year and The Lord himself is saying I will introduce you myself. The meaning of the word preamble according to the Oxford English Dictionary means (an introduction or an opening statement for e.g. the foreword of a book is like an introduction to a book, it introduces the book to the reader, it gives a hint of what the book will contain, why you should read it and a little about the author, most times the foreword of a book is normally written by someone who knows the author). So when The Lord says He will introduce you then it means it will be a great introduction, the type that will launch you to greatness and take you to the next level of God’s Glory in your life in the Mighty Name of Jesus. Brethren in the Bible there was a man that God gave a great preamble about and that man was King David. This is why Apostle Paul confirmed what God said about David: ‘Afterward they desired a King and God gave them Saul the son of Kish, a man of the tribe of Benjamin, after the space of forty years. And when he had removed him, he raised up unto them David to be their king to whom also He gave testimony and said, I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after mine own heart, which shall fulfil all My will. Of this man’s seed hath The Lord according to his promise raised unto Israel a Saviour, Jesus (Acts. 13:21-23). No wonder in the Bible a lot of people referred to the Jesus as the son of David. Brethren this is awesome. My prayer for us is that the Lord Himself will testify of us in this way, that He will find you & I to be men & women after His own heart, who will do all He wants us to do according to His will in Jesus name. Among all the kings in the Bible, David was the only king the Lord introduced as a man after His own heart who walked in the ways of the Lord. Some of the kings according to the Bible did what was right in the sight of the Lord but not with a perfect heart. For example: King Amaziah the son of Joash in the Bk. of 2 Kings 14:3 (And he did that which was right in the sight of The Lord, yet not like David his father. So this tells us that before we can please God, we need to have a perfect heart towards Him, a heart that loves and obeys Him because we love & fear Him. Our Lord Jesus said in the Bk. of Matt. 15:8 (This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips, but their heart is far from me). David was not only the ancestor of Christ according to the flesh, but he possessed many of the attributes that were later perfected by Christ which should characterise all those which are Disciples of Christ. Let us consider some of these attributes that David had that were confirmed in the Bible that made him stand out as a man after God’s own heart and my prayer for us is that God will grant us the grace to manifest these attributes in our lives or for God to perfect them if they are already manifesting in our lives: 1. David loved the word of God, we can please read the whole of Psa.119 when we get home so we can have a better understanding of this statement but I will quote Psa. 119: 11 Thy word have I hid in my heart that I might not sin against thee, He was able to discern that the word of God was law, it protects, it revives from affliction, it gives peace of mind & hope amongst so many other benefits. 2. David loved to pray Psa. 116: 1-2 (I will call upon Him as long as I live.) David knew that God was a God that answered prayers and his love for prayers was based upon the fact that God had answered him before, he loved to commune with God (Psa. 42: 1-2; 10: 4; 84; 121: 1) 3. David loved to praise God (he was a worshiper, I think this attribute really stood out in his life, He loved to praise and worship God) he did it with the whole of his heart not minding who was watching him or the circumstance he found himself, he always praised God. Psa. 119:164 (Seven times a day I praise you). He praised God because of His righteous judgements, for His Greatness & faithfulness, His loving-kindness and he was determined to sing praises as long as he lived (Psa. 103:33). 4. David loved unity among Brethren Psa. 133:1 David knew the value of good friendship and unity as exemplified in the relationship he had with Jonathan in 1Sam, 18:1 Prov.18:24 says ‘There is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother. He also knew the terrible pain of division within a family (his sons Amnon & Absalom 2 Sam. 13). 5. David hated every false way: I hate every false way (Psa. 119: 104). His hatred was based upon his understanding of God’s precepts. His hatred affected his selection of activities and friends (Psa 101: 3-4, 6-7). The only sin recorded against David in the Bible was the sin of sleeping with Uriah’s wife and the killing of Uriah and the covering of the sin. But when the Lord sent Prophet Nathan to him, he genuinely repented of his sins because the Bible says a broken heart and a contrite spirit will The Lord not look down on. 6. His reaction to the death of Saul in (2 Sam. 1:19-27) was something out of this world, for as long as Saul was alive he chased David from one cave to another because he wanted to kill him, David even had an opportunity to kill him but he did not, in 1Sam.24:4-5 he felt so bad ( the Bible said and his heart smote him) that he cut the skirt of an anointed of the Lord, David understood that even though The Lord had rejected Saul he was still the anointed of The Lord, Brethren we must not on any account fight an anointed man or woman of God, we must at all times leave the Lord’s anointed to Him to deal with, He knows how to deal with them. 7. His reaction to the death of his son Absalom that overthrew his kingdom and seeked to kill his own Father in 2Sam. 18:33 ( And the King was much moved and went up to the chamber over the gate, and wept, and as he went, thus he said, O my son Absalom, my son, my son Absalom. Would God I had died for thee, O Absalom, my son, my son. 8. His reaction to Shemei a relation of Saul as he ran for his life from his own son Absalom in 2 Sam.16: 12-13 The Bible said Shemei cursed and threw sand at him but this is what he said to one of his men that requested he give the command to have Shemei’s head taken off, ‘It may be that the Lord will look on mine affliction, and that the Lord will requite me good for his cursing today. Brethren I can assure you it is only a heart that is like the heart of God that would react in this way and manner. The Lord will help us in Jesus name. So Brethren because David was a man after God’s own heart and he had all these attributes, God was confident that David would do all that God asked of him. My prayer for us is that God will grant us the grace to be motivated at all times to do all of His will in Jesus name.
