The Prince of Peace
Text: Luke 5:1-11
- By Pastor (Mrs) Ekundayo Aruwajoye
E need to worship God because He lives and because He holds our future. We have the confidence that we can face tomorrow and all our fears are gone because Christ lives. Peter is our case study this morning. Before Peter met Jesus on that morning, He had all forms of storms. Physical, spiritual, marital, etc. He toiled all through the night and he was unable to catch anything. He was frustrated, tired and was just packing his net to go back home empty, but the Prince of peace came. He was a professional fisherman, but because he caught nothing it meant that he failed. He had a spiritual storm because he was a sinner, he told Jesus to go away from him because of that. Every sinner knows that a place called Hell is prepared for them. That will not be our portion in Jesus name. He was having a marital storm. A man who went out for a business and was going back home empty, you can imagine what his wife will say when he got back home. What will his children eat? That is why I pray for all men here this morning that whatever you need for your wives to honour and respect you will be given to you in Jesus name. Fortunately, Peter met the Prince of peace and all the storms of his life were taken care of. How? In the night all the fishes in the sea were supposed to come out swimming, but as Peter came out that night all the fishes were hiding. But at the command of the Lord Jesus, the fishes all came out and even made themselves readily available to be caught. Every blessing of your life that had gone into hiding must resurface in the name of Jesus. The same net that could not catch anything now caught a lot. May the ‘net’ of your life begin to work now in the name of Jesus. It will begin to catch the ‘fishes’ that God had ordained in the name of Jesus. The boat was light because it was empty. But at the word of the Prince of peace, the boat had more than enough to carry. May the ‘boat’ of your life that ought to have carried twins and triplets, at the command of the Lord Jesus, May your ‘boat’ begin to carry your twins and triplets now in the name of Jesus. The marital storm was over because he had more than enough for the family to eat. Your story today will change in the name of Jesus. The spiritual storm was also taking care of. Jesus who happens to be the Way and the Life met him and change him from a sinner to a saint. Peter forsook all and followed Christ. While Peter was with Jesus, he had peace. If you remain with Jesus, you will enjoy peace. At a time in his life, Peter backslid (John 21:1-7) Thank God for the Prince of peace found him out again. He encountered failure again. What are those things that you’ve told Jesus you will not do again? Come back to Jesus this morning and as you do so, he will embrace you back. Peter was spiritual naked again, just like Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden. May the glory of God not depart from our lives in the name of Jesus. Peter was afraid. Sin makes people to be afraid. Do you want to be bold? Embrace Jesus back. Peter was restored the second time. That same Lord is here. May he restore you in Jesus name.

N some parts of the world, rainy season is experienced twice a year. The first one is called early or former rains which are essentially to soften the field for cultivation and for germination of the seed planted; while the second is called the latter rains and is necessary for the production of fruits and leading to harvest. Both rains are very crucial to cropping, but the latter rains have a greater significance on the planting process as it shows that the farmer’s efforts throughout the year were never in vain. As Jesus was going back to heaven, He instructed the disciples not to go out preaching until they had received the power from the Holy Ghost (Luke 24:49). About 50 days after Jesus ascension, the gift of the Holy Ghost came upon 120 disciples which signify their ‘early rains’ (Acts 2:1-4). This power propelled them to do great miracles and grant them courage. However after the healing of the lame man at the Beautiful Gate by Peter and John, they were both arrested and tried by the Elders Council and the High Priest family. After been threatened and humiliated, it was necessary that God should re-charge them again, so they were sent a ‘latter rain’ (Acts 4:29-31). After this latter rain, they became unstoppable! In this Month of December, God is determined to send us ‘latter rains’ that will prepare us for our harvest season. He will cancel all threats of the enemies against us and eradicate all humiliations we are going through. He will also re-kindled our courage and endue us with renewed power and grace in Jesus name. THE RCCG (EVERLASTING FATHER’S ASSEMBLY) 2012 PROPHECY THEME: OUR YEAR OF ASTOUNDING ACCOMPLISHMENTS
STOUNDING is defined as bewildering or striking dumb with wonder; or so surprisingly impressive as to stun or overwhelm. While accomplishments could be defined as the act of carrying out or achieving; something achieved or successfully completed; gained skills or talent; attainment of social grace, style, and poise. After God ordered Elijah to anoint Elisha as his successor; Elisha left his lucrative mechanized farming and became a servant to Elijah. He would run errands for him and take care of his master. The time came when God was prepared to take Elijah away; Elisha’s contemporaries began to make mockery of him that he would soon be like them, but Elisha was determined not to remain as an ordinary son of a prophet; but as someone spectacular. So he demanded for the double portion of the anointing of God upon his master. The bible records that Elisha was able to fulfil the condition set by Elijah and so received the double portion of his master’s anointing! The sons of prophet that thought Elisha was already stranded at the other side of Jordan bowed before him and called him ‘Master’ after he parted the Jordan River and walked through it on dry ground! (2 Kings 2: 1-15). In the year 2012, the Spirit of God says He will make us to achieve feats that are astounding; gain talents and skills that are staggering; and enjoy attainments of social grace, style and poise that are startling! The Prince of Peace Text: Luke 5:1-11 - By Pastor (Mrs) Ekundayo Aruwajoye Continued from Page 2 Are you doing the will of God and storms are still surrounding you, unlike peter that was in sin or backslidden? There is an example in the book of Mathew 8:23-27, Jesus and the disciples were to cross over the sea, but behold the sea began to rage and the wind boisterous. Whenever you are on the verge of progressing, the storm my come, that does not mean that you are not in the Lord Jesus Christ. Remember that even Jesus was in the same boat with the disciples and storm came very strong at them. The disciples went to Jesus and accosted Him that He didn’t care if they perish. Jesus was waiting for what they would do. Jesus however rebuked the wind and the sea. The difference is that you that have Jesus with you have someone to report to. Jesus will arise and still the storms for you in Jesus name. Jesus was able to bring peace to that situation because He had peace inside of Himself. You cannot bring peace to any situation when within you there is no peace. Jesus Christ had peace that was why He was able to say, ‘Let there be peace’. Storms may surround you, but don’t let the storm get into you. The moment you let it get into you, it will overwhelming you and disorganise you. You must not allow it. Peace doesn’t necessarily means absence of trouble or absence of enemies. If you don’t have enemies, then who is your father? Jesus had numerous. Every enemy that surrounds you, because Jesus is in you, you will silence them all. God will scatter them all for you in Jesus name. So therefore, if you are faced with troubles and enemies doesn’t mean that Jesus Christ is not with you. He will give you victory. In the storm of life all you need is the peace of God. Where are you faced with storm? But because Christ is alive, you can face tomorrow. The song of victory is your song today and the rest of this year. Whatever storm you’ve been facing, God will put an end to it this morning. Jesus asked me to tell you that ‘I am the Lord who died and rose again and lives forever. Tell my people that whatsoever is dead in their lives will come back to life again’. Prayers Father, wherever my life has been naked, cover me O God. Father, cover my life and family and all that I have with your glory. Father, arise and fight my battles. Father, let every storm of my life be stilled in Jesus name. Father, everything that is dead in me and in your church let them receive life. Father, every trouble that has followed me here, let them be silenced in Jesus name. Father, let there be a shaking in the Heavens and on the earth for my sake in Jesus name. Father, give me peace within and without in Jesus name. Father, every plant you have not planted in this Assembly, uproot it in Jesus name.
