Desiring His Presence

N

OTHING can stand before Jehovah. The Red Sea fled. Jordan was turned back. Mountains skipped. Hills ran from His presence. The Earth trembles at His presence. He does the unbelievable. All these are aided if God is praised. Praise is very important as a Christian: - It would open doors that the key of men could not open. - Praise will take you to a place where your feet could not carry you. - Praise will take you to your land of destiny. - Praise will make kings to celebrate you. You must desire to be in God’s presence as a believer. Psalm 27:4 David always desire to be in the presence of God. He cherish being in the Tabernacle. It is only when you desire His presence you will encounter it. If you live in His presence you will be transformed in His presence, when you are transformed you will carry His presence, then you will manifest His presence. When you desire God’s presence 24/7 you live in His presence. God desires His children to dwell in His presence and to bring Him thanksgiving, celebration and offering. Exodus 24:30b tells us that we must never appear before God empty. It’s not a sin to appear onto God when you have no money to give. But it is a sin when you appear with your heart being empty. You need to bring yourself unto God for His blessings (Psalm 65:1-4). During prayers, God sends down angels to come and dish out blessing to those who are faithful. But during praises God doesn’t allow angel to come down. He comes down himself because all the praise belongs to him. In 1 Kings 3:14-15, Solomon never knew that praising the Lord would have catapulted him to greatness. He never knew that his story was about to change. God make sure that there was no king as great as Solomon in riches and wisdom before him and after him.

Jehovah’s Manifest Presence

EHOVAH is one of the self-declared, choicest names of God (Ex. 6:3). It means: The Almighty; Most Sovereign; Creator; Possessor of all; The Man of war; etc. Manifest is defined as evident; obvious; plain; or apparent. While presence is defined as to be in attendance or show appearance. Throughout ages, Jehovah always demonstrates His obvious appearance whenever it is very necessary for Him to do so. Like when He came down to disperse the people at the Tower of Babel (Gen. 11:1-8), as well as to put an end to the maltreatment of the Israelites by the Egyptians (Ex. 3:7-8). In Gen. 28:10-22, Jacob ran away from Canaan to Haran (Turkey) because of his brother Esau. He travelled through the desert in terrible condition: on foot, no change of cloth, harsh climate and bad terrain. One night, as he approached a city called Luz, the sun set and he had to sleep out of town on sand with a stone as a pillow. That night, he had a dream, he saw a ladder from heaven touching the earth. Angels were ascending and descending the ladder, and God was speaking from the topmost of the ladder. When he woke up, he exclaimed "God was in this place and I knew it not!" He then worshipped God and made a vow unto God. Though Jacob was in a hostile terrain, alienated from loved ones, destitute and unsure of his destiny. God encouraged him with His manifest presence and the transfer of Abrahamic covenant upon his life. In this month of August and beyond, regardless of the terrain we tread and the prevailing situations we encounter, God said He will demonstrate His obvious presence among us. He will give us this Land; He will multiply our offspring; He will make us to spread to the four corners of the world; He will bless the nations of the world through us; He will keep us wherever we go; He will make us to be rooted in our Canaan and He will not leave us until He has fulfilled all His promises concerning us. We must just worship and obey Him. Pastor Samuel Obafaiye

Text: Psalm 114:1-8

- By Pastor Kayode ONI

You cannot encounter Jehovah’s presence and remain the same. In Exodus 3:1-10, Moses experienced God’s presence in the desert. Jehovah appeared through the burning bush. He dropped a rod and it became a serpent. He was able to take up a serpent by the tail! When you enter the presence of God you encounter the supernatural and take control of the untouchable. When you encounter His presence, you are conformed into His likeness Psalm 17:15. Jacob encountered the presence of God in Genesis 28:1122. God transformed his destiny into a glorious one. A refugee later became a father of nations! If you dwell so much in His presence you encounter an unending season of harvest, for in the presence of the Lord is a fullness of joy and pleasures for ever more. PRAYERS Jehovah Jesus, manifest your presence in my life. Lord Jesus, make me to experience your presence. Lord Jesus, I want to dwell in your presence. Lord Jesus, I want you live in your presence. THE RCCG (EVERLASTING FATHER’S ASSEMBLY) 2013 PROPHECY. THEME: OUR YEAR OF GOD’S REST Isaiah 65: 21-24, Isaiah 14:1-4

I

WAS meditating recently to find out from God what will be our theme for 2013. There were certain challenges I saw in 2012 that I was asking God to completely eradicate in the next. God answered and said, "All covenanted ministries (whether individual or church) will hit major storm in their 3rd year. If the ministry escapes that by grace, a greater storm will come against it in its 6th year. If the ministry equally escapes the double storm, it will then qualify for the blessings of the 7th year”. For us in Everlasting Father's Assembly, there were storms that we went through at three years. To the glory of God, we escape them all. Also at six years, thank God for all the astounding accomplishments that we have enjoyed, we also escaped double storms. Glory be to God!

RCCG 20132013 PROPHECY THEWORLDWIDE RCCG (WORLDWIDE) PROPHECY

Year of Signs & Wonders FOR INDIVIDUALS: 1. No matter the darkness around you, your star will shine brighter. 2. God says, He will speak peace to your storms 3. Certain individuals have been stagnated for sometimes, the reasons for your stagnation will become known, will be addressed and will be eliminated, therefore progress will follow. 4. In many senses of the word, this year will be of completeness. FOR NIGERIA: 1. The prayers of some of you minimized death of prominent Nigerians last year, don’t stop praying. 2. Before the middle of the year, many will say hope rising. 3. Learn from disasters of 2012 and take precaution soonest to avert bigger ones.. INTERNATIONAL: 1. The Lord says prominent world leaders need a lot prayers so as not to die in office. 2. Prominent Church leaders need prayers against planned scandals. 3. Weather conditions may get worse, much worst, unless prayers are intensified. 4. We should expect a major breakthrough in medicine this year. 5. Nations who pass unholy laws will have a taste of divine fury. By Pastor Enoch Adeboye (Gen. Overseer RCCG Worldwide)

So I asked God, since we have escaped the sixth year, what is the blessing of the seventh year? He took me back to the creation of the world. He said, ‘What did the bible says I did on the seventh day’? And I said that You rested from Your labours. So, God said "2013 is your year of My rest". Note that it is the God's rest, not our kind of rest. The bible says that God does not sleep nor slumber (Ps. 121:4). So it's not a rest of sleep. Neither is it of folding of hands. It is a rest from excessive labours and entering into excessive favours. The seventh day was a time when God stopped creating on this earth, but switched to watching over what He has created. In 2013, God will help us to look after what He has created for us and through us. We will supervise and oversee machinery that will run itself. Every system that God has helped us to create will begin to work for us. Grace will supersede haste. There was a time when the Israelites were fighting Canaan, the Israelites were outnumbered. So God began to use constellations to fight for them (Judges 5:20). God will assign hosts of heaven to work for us in 2013 By Pastor Samuel Obafaiye

CONGREGATIONAL HYMN

I AM THINE, O LORD

I am Thine, O Lord, I have heard Thy voice, And it told Thy love to me; But I long to rise in the arms of faith And be closer drawn to Thee. Draw me nearer, nearer blessèd Lord, To the cross where Thou hast died. Draw me nearer, nearer, nearer blessèd Lord, To Thy precious, bleeding side. Consecrate me now to Thy service, Lord, By the power of grace divine; Let my soul look up with a steadfast hope, And my will be lost in Thine. O the pure delight of a single hour That before Thy throne I spend, When I kneel in prayer, and with Thee, my God I commune as friend with friend! There are depths of love that I cannot know Till I cross the narrow sea; There are heights of joy that I may not reach Till I rest in peace with Thee.

Jehovah Shammah Will Show Text: Daniel 3: 1-30 Up For Me By Minister Aderemi Adelugba

O

NE of the names of the Lord is known as Jehovah Shammah, meaning “Jehovah is there”. He is ever present in our affairs. Jehovah Shammah is not an ordinary name, it represents God’s divine presence and safety, and His appearance brings joy. It is the name that showed up for Moses, which made him to sail through with safety. The Hebrew boys, Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego were also delivered from being roasted in the burning furnace. The book of Proverb 18:10 - The name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous runneth into it and is safe. It is the name that answers for every situation. It answered for Paul and Silas when they were locked up, and the Holy Spirit descended and unlocks the prison miraculously. When Jehovah Shammah appears in your problem, the problem will submit in Jesus name. Matthew 18:20 say: For where two or three people are gathered in my name, there am I in the midst of them. The month of August is the month that Jehovah’s would manifest His presence in our life. You need to step back and let God’s presence take over. Enough of all your physical effort; step back and allow Him to step in the boat, and you will never sink again in Jesus name. If you think you have failed too many times, when God’s presence falls, failure will be replaced by success in Jesus name. For you to fulfil divine purpose in life, you need the presence of God to go with you always. In Exodus 33:13-15, Moses demanded the presence of God in his entire journey; he recognised that if the presence of God followed him, He would be able to do exploit. Exodus 33:13-15 - Now therefore, I pray thee, if I have found grace in thy sight, shew me now thy way, that I may know thee, that I may find grace in thy sight: and consider that this nation is thy people.14 And he said, my presence shall go with thee, and I will give thee rest. Isaiah 43:1-7 - But now thus saith the Lord that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel, Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine. 2 When thou passes through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee. 3 For I am the Lord thy God, the Holy One of Israel, thy Saviour: I gave Egypt for thy ransom, Ethiopia and Seba for thee... The text today is from the book of Daniel 3:1-30, Nebuchadnezzar reacts in anger to how the three Hebrew boys responded when they were asked to bow down to Nebuchadnezzar’s fabricated image. He decided that, they be destroyed in the burning furnace. He orders them bound up and cast into a furnace heated some seven times hotter than it was normally. The fire was so hot that it slays the men who toss them into the fire. But you will not be burnt even if the fire is one million times heated up in Jesus name. Born again believer should have a different standard of living from the world around him: For the presence of Jehovah to be with you, your life must be so distinguished from the life of any ordinary man. The life the Hebrew boys lived was a great example of how the righteous people should live. They stood for God, not for a mere man. For God to stand up for you, you stop sitting down concerning the work of God committed to your hands. The Hebrew boys recognised there was job to be done, and that in upholding the faith they have in the Lord, they could touch lives. They were working and spreading the good news even in that difficult terrain. They got the reward for the labour of love, and were not burnt even in the burning furnace. In Daniel 3: 25, God showed up for the Hebrew boys: When God shows up in the situation that appears to be heated, the heat would become snowflakes. The boys were just feeling cold even when the King and his cohorts thought the flame would kill them. King Nebuchadnezzar recognised the fourth loose man in the fire; this simply means the Lord manifested His divine presence. God opened his eyes to see another person, and he says he looks like God. God will stand and show up for you in Jesus name. Testimony will abound in Jesus name: The whole world will be able to see what the Lord is doing in your life and they will testify to the Lord’s goodness. Daniel 3:28; King Nebuchadnezzar testified to recognising another man with the boys. This is the absolute presence of God. He testified to seeing Jehovah Shammah having a fellowship even in the fiery burning furnace.
