Being a Rotarian: What are the benefits?

Becoming a Rotary member connects you with a diverse group of professionals who share your drive to give back. Through regular meetings and events, you’ll: •

• • •

Discuss your community’s needs and develop creative ways to meet them Connect with other leaders who are changing the world Expand your leadership and professional skills Catch up with good friends and meet new ones

Other benefits of membership include: •

This RY 2018-2019 have cemented the partnership of the Club’s two adopted barangays namely Brgy. Sta. Cruz Del Monte and Brgy. Sta. Teresita by signing MOAs to work hand in hand together. Our Club has projects lined up with the communities which highlights the formation of a Rotaract Club for Brgy. Sta. Teresita which coincides with this year’s RI Thrust of strengthening the Youth. And this gives us the opportunity to work on our signature project “Mental Exchange™” support for mental health advocacy awareness with our less fortunate brothers and sisters. We will truly make this happen!

Rotary Global Rewards, our member benefits program, which offers discounts on products and services. It’s Rotary’s way of helping our members spend less so they can do more. The Rotary International Convention is our biggest event of the year. Rotary members from more than 130 countries meet at the convention each year to celebrate our successes and make plans for the future. Rotary Fellowships give members the chance to join a group of people who share similar interests, hobbies, or vocations. Some groups use their fellowship to make a positive difference. Rotarian Action Groups unite Rotary members, family members, program participants and alumni who share their expertise in particular fields by collaborating with clubs and districts on projects.

Recruitment: Who can join?

We’re looking for people who want to give back to their communities. Rotary clubs also welcome Rotaractors, Rotary Peace Fellows, and other members of the family of Rotary who qualify for membership.

How can I become a member?

Clubs accept new members by invitation. To help us find the right club for you, we’ll ask you a few questions about yourself and your interests. Then we’ll share your answers with Rotary leaders in your community who will match you with a club.

What’s expected of me?

As a club member, you will be asked to: • Pay club dues • Attend meetings and events • Use your professional skills and talents to make a difference.

Club Profile

Club ID #51391

The Rotary Club of Roosevelt is a spin-off from the Rotary Club of Paraiso. Four charter members (20 percent of the total membership of Rotary Club of Paraiso) came from the said Club namely: Letty Jayme, Meth Lopez, Robert Rosario and Roland Rosario, who became the Charter President. RC Roosevelt was Chartered on June 30, 1998 during the term of Past District Governor Gil Divinagracia. DGSR Badong Viari helped in the organization of the Club. The members comprise mostly of young and professional, energetic junior executives. The Charter President believes that this articulate group of new generation with their talents matched with broader and bolder ideas would be the answer to the continuity of effective and progressive leadership. During the Charter presentation on September 28, 1998 and thru the joint effort of aforementioned organizing charter members, 24 new Rotarians were inducted. Our Club ID No. is 51391. The Club meets every Thursday at the Rotary Center and has been patronizing the Rotary Center since 1998 up to the present.

VISION To be a strong and effective Rotary Club with great life and energy in fellowship and in doing good for humanity, proudly fulfilling its social obligation to its Rotary Community and members.
