LETTER FROM THE INSPIRING GOVERNOR MAR REYES To Inspiring President Ryan Rosario and the Officers and Members of RC Roosevelt, Spouse Chit and I warmly express our congratulations to you and your Club on the occasion of your 21st Induction and Turnover Ceremonies. Our gratitude and congratulations to your Immediate Past President, TGP Arcangel Noche for her successful term, and having accepted the challenges of leadership. Rotary International’s new theme, “Be the Inspiration” exhorts Rotarians to begin looking more closely and seriously about our future. We have to take on a new trajectory into the future of Rotary, which is the membership challenge of bringing in the younger generation, and rebranding ourselves as People of Action, at the same time examine ourselves whether we are capable of re-focusing and preserving our values, beliefs and principles, amidst the adaption into the modern world. The world is changing at a faster pace as never before in history. Technology and new modes of communication, and the storage and use of data, have shrank our world into a virtual village. Businesses and governance are on a platform whose relevance and viability are challenged on a daily basis. If Rotary does not adapt, become creative and innovative, our organization will be on a declining influence in our communities and in the world. The external environment has so much competition in terms of doing charity work, not the least, our modern lifestyle. This is our challenge. Thus, we need to empower ourselves, our clubs and our youth, to bring our organization into the future. We need to evolve and be inspired to carry our vision to reality. RI’s thrust this year is double the Rotaractors. The young generation has to come in because, like it or not, they will soon take over the world. As Paul Harris said many years ago, “If Rotary hopes to advance its aims, it must be evolutionary always and at times revolutionary.” RI’s New Vision Statement, states: “Together, we see a world where people unite and take action to create lasting change across the globe, in our communities, and in ourselves.” Together, we inspire, together, we transform lives, together, we connect and make a difference. Together, let’s Be the Inspiration!

MESSAGE FROM THE PAST CLUB PRESIDENTS Message from CP Roland Rosario Twenty years have passed, another milestone to cherish. In our simplest capacity and small club as we are, but the commitment and dedication of the officers and members who heartily put into action to the best they could what we aim to achieve. This vibrant Rotary Club of |Roosevelt, QC somehow made something big and noteworthy – that is the Global Grant that benefited hundreds of school children in one of the poorest communities. Congratulations to the officers and members for the work well done. My special mention to IPP Mark Harvey Matta for his utmost effort in working out in attaining the Global Grant of Rotary International. Once again, I enjoin you to persevere, aim high and enrich the legacy of selfless service. BE THE INSPIRATION! God bless and Mabuhay. CP Roland Rosario Charter President RY 1998-1999

MESSAGE FROM THE PAST CLUB PRESIDENTS Message from PP Mark Matta It is my distinct pleasure and privilege to greet each and every one as we celebrate Rotary Club of Roosevelt 20th anniversary and 21st induction ceremony. It was indeed another milestone event in the history of the club. Through the years, we have shown that indeed size does not matter, Rotary Club of Roosevelt has proven that with the combined efforts, time, talents & treasures of its members, service partners, friends and supporters that everything is possible no matter how big or small a club may be, projects and serving humanity is still doable and can be achieved if we only put our heart and mind into it. Proof of which the achievement of Global Grant (1746438) is amounting to $ 37,000 USD, in partnership with Joyfull Land Mission Inc. in Valenzuela City and with Rotary Club of Gwangju D3800 in Korea. Moreover, That out of about 104 clubs in District 3780 during my term, there were only three (3) mighty clubs who made it and it was such a huge accomplishment for the club with less than 20 members on its roster. To TGP Arcangel Noche our techie president, Job well done & Congratulations for the service you have rendered. To our incoming President Ryan Rosario, I am pretty sure and confident that the club will be in good hands. Congratulations to you in advance. From your ALL STAR president... thru the GREAT president... for the INSPIRING president...May the force be with us ROOSEVIANS! Mabuhay and Congratulations. The Rotary journey continues. Cheers!

PP Mark Harvey Matta All-Star President RY 2016-207

To PP Lou Rosario for showing me that going beyond my comfort zone is a challenge that I could overcome. To PP Mark Matta for guiding me and trusting that I can definitely be the great president to lead the club. To my spouse Allen Noche, for his greatest patience and understanding, also for all the digital assistance him and his team have given. To our PN Kates Ante, for helping me achieve projects with ease. To fellow Roosevians, VP Roger Flores, Rtn. Dan Ayson Jr, Dir. Jackie Coronado, Dir. Carmen Patulot, Sgt. at Arms Manny Vizconde, Dir. It is my honor and privilege to once again lead this amazing club for the Rotary year 2018-2019. “Every act of service we perform is like a seed, growing a bountiful crop of love throughout our world” – Bichai Rattakul (RI President 2002-2003)

Presidential Feature Ryan Reyes Rosario was born on April 16, 1974 to Roland Ramos Rosario and Ma. Luisa Reyes Rosario (both members, a Charter President and Past President respectively of the Rotary Club of Roosevelt). He graduated BS Biology in Far Eastern University in 1996. He has one sibling – Renzie Claire Rosario- Easter (also a Past President of the Rotary Club of Roosevelt, QC). After graduating in college, he worked at the Rosario Enterprise as building administrator and was in-charge in maintaining the various buildings, apartments and houses that the company owns. He was also accountable in collecting rent. In early 2003, he joined the BPO industry to be part of eTelecare. He was able to gain experience in sales, customer service and technical support for both outbound and inbound telecommunication services. He later joined NuComm which is now called Transcom Worldwide Philippines, Inc. in 2005 as part of the pioneer team that handled small to medium scale businesses all over North America (Canada and the USA). Here, he handled and managed teams for both telecoms, email and chat support groups for various American, European and Asian markets. After 9 years with Transcom, he later would join Results Manila as part of another pioneer team that handled hard-core technical support for a famous American cable company. And in 2017, he has finally decided to focus on working closely with his parents on their family business (Rosario Enterprise) managing the daily operations of the company. In October of 2000, Ryan was inducted as a member of the Rotary Club of Roosevelt QC. He has been active with the club’s various projects and programs. When RY 2002-2003 came, Ryan had the privilege to become the President of the Rotary Club of Roosevelt, QC and as the youngest Loving President in the District with the RI Theme “Sow the Seeds of Love” under the late Governor Roberto “Bobby” Viray. Not long after, he focused on his work and had to lay low with the organization. However, he would be from time to time support many of the club’s endeavors, however not full time. Notably, he would be an emcee to the annual inductions, anniversary occasions of the Club. Early last year, he would became active gave his full time to the club. When the original President-Elect for RY 2018-2019 Christine Mauleon fell ill and needed to take a medical leave of absence, Ryan happily obliged and stepped in to fill the empty position which gave him ample time to prepare for the upcoming leadership task. Being able to attend all five PrePETS provided by the District - the President-Elect Training Seminar, MidCon, DisCon and DisTas prior to July 1, 2018, Ryan is now ready to take on the challenge and “Be the Inspiration” for the Rotary Club of Roosevelt, QC. The members comprise mostly of young and professional, energetic junior executives. The Charter President believes that this articulate group of new generation with their talents matched with broader and bolder ideas would be the answer to the continuity of effective and progressive leadership. During the Charter presentation on September 28, 1998 and thru the joint effort of aforementioned organizing charter members, 24 new Rotarians were inducted. Our Club ID No. is 51391. Banaag ng Pag-asa is the Rotary Community Corps (RCC) of the Rotary Club of Roosevelt, QC. This organization was formed August of 2014 under the guidance of San Pedro Bautista Parish in San Francisco Del Monte, Quezon City. Fr. Pete Montellana has been instrumental in encouraging the officers and members of this group to move forward. The purpose of this group is to share the joy of evangelization and its main goal is to implement and improve the lives of the poor. Dubbed as the “Church for the Poor”, they were able to feed the poorest of the poor communities through the “Bread for Life” and offered livelihood projects particularly soap making - to not only help these people learn to make a living but also benefitting in promoting sanitation and hygiene. It has been their commitment to partner with RC Roosevelt, QC in reaching out to more people in need in every possible way they can.
