examples include: lying or failing to give complete information to a teacher, feigning illness to gain extra preparation time for tests, quizzes, or assignments due. Stealing includes but is not limited to taking or appropriating without the right permission to do so, with the intent to keep or make wrongful use of the academic property or materials of another student or the instructional materials of a teacher. Some examples include: stealing copies of a test or quiz, illegitimately accessing a teacher’s answer key for tests or quizzes, stealing the teacher’s edition of the textbook, stealing another’s homework, notes, workbook, lab notebook or handouts. Disciplinary action for personal property theft will be in accordance with the UCPS High School Handbook.
