BISBEE
One of Arizona’s most colorfully eclectic historic communities, Bisbee began its life with traces of lead, copper and silver in the late 1800s. CANYON DE CHELLY
The Canyon de Chelly National Monument is home to spectacular cliff dwellings found on and at the base of steep-sided canyons up to 1,000 feet deep. This is the best known of over a hundred cliff dwellings, mostly in inaccessible locations, which were occupied from around AD 350 to 1300. at Four Corners Monument, situated on the Navajo Nation in Northern Arizona. Unique amongst Arizona’s many landmarks, Four Corners Monument is the only place in the United States where four states intersect at one point: Arizona, New Mexico, Utah and Colorado. LONDON BRIDGE

METEOR CRATER
Meteor Crater is a meteorite impact crater approximately 37 miles east of Flagstaff and 18 miles west of Winslow in the northern Arizona desert. The crater is about one mile wide and 570 feet deep. Scientists say the impact was about 50,000 years ago and the explo-

MONUMENT VALLEY
Monument Valley Navajo Tribal Park straddles the border between Arizona and Utah. Wild West landscape includes jagged rock formations, dramatic buttes, and sand dunes. Visitors can do a self drive tour through the valley, take a guided tour or photography tour, or simply appreciate some of the views from the passing highway.
PETRIFIED FOREST
Large pieces of petrified wood, along with fossilized plants, fish, and reptiles, have been revealed in great numbers in what is today Petrified National Forest in the Painted Desert. The park access road allows visitors to drive passed many of the highlights and short interpretive trails allow for close up looks at a variety of unique sights.

TOMBSTONE
Tombstone, a silver mining boomtown, quickly became notorious as a rough and tumble town, the best claim to fame was the famous Gunfight at the OK Corral (which actually took place in a vacant lot next to the corral), involving Wyatt Earp and Doc Holliday. The OK Corral exhibit is there, as are many of the old saloons and the old courthouse, now a museum.
