2022-2023 Annual Report of Gifts
MESSAGE FROM THE HEAD OF SCHOOL Dear Friends of Rawson Saunders, I am enormously proud to share with you Rawson Saunders’ 2022-2023 Annual Report of Gifts. This report serves as a powerful testament to the tremendous support our community continues to demonstrate for our critically important mission to develop the full potential of students with dyslexia—along with the teachers who teach them—through an extraordinary education experience. This past school year was remarkable in countless ways, not least of which was our silver anniversary, marking twenty-five years of an unwavering focus on rewriting the future of dyslexia! In 2022-23, enrollment exceeded projections in every category: School, Institute, Tutoring Services, Assessments, and Summer Term. Together, we celebrated our students and our success, welcoming our entire community to our 25th Anniversary Hoe-Down in September, proudly honoring Dyslexia Awareness Month in October, holding a schoolwide Book Fair in January, hosting our Show the Love Gala in February, and finishing strong in June with a Field Day for all! I thank you for making extraordinary possible. Twenty-five years is just the beginning! With gratitude,
Laura Steinbach, M.S.Ed. Head of School

CELEBRATING 25 YEARS OF EXTRAORDINARY Our community came together on September 25, 2022 to celebrate 25 years of extraordinary teaching and learning. Sponsored by Rawson Saunders parents Catherine and Shaesby Scott, Rawson Saunders' campus was transformed into a fun, western-themed event space. Families donned their western gear and enjoyed live music, lawn games, a climbing wall, face painting, drinks, treats, and more. Attended by our faculty, staff, alumni, board, and our students and their families, this fun, free, family-friendly event was a wild success. Many thanks to the Scott family and to everyone that attended this extraordinary event!

CONGRATULATIONS TO THE CLASS OF 2023! Congratulations to graduating senior, Julia Bishop. Having first discovered Rawson Saunders as a young child through tutoring services, Julia returned as a high school student to finish her secondary education. Julia is most grateful for how her teachers helped her to transition to Rawson Saunders in high school and was relieved to find a school that taught her in a way that she truly learns. She will most miss the friendships that she formed with her teachers and classmates. As for what’s next, Julia is choosing between both Florida and California college opportunities and plans to focus her studies on marine biology.
