Origins of the Apple iPhone and its characteristics
The now-deceased CEO Steve Jobs introduced a new product on January 9th 2007 at the Macworld convention in San Francisco. Introducing, the device as a wide screen iPod with touch controls, a mobile phone and Internet Communicator. The iPhone, however, did not go for sell for another 6 months.
Full touch-screen phones were still uncommon in the market. But iPhone was simple to use, like, sliding the bar to unlock the phone or scrolling through bands in the music function. This made it impressive and easier to like by people. When the first iPhone hit the stores, the OS wasn’t even called iOS. At the time, Apple said the phone was running on OS X, hence, was simply called as an iPhone OS. This operating system simply had few basic apps such as, Safari, Mail, Maps, Notes and few others.
