Blog Instructions 1. Please visit https://www.blogger.com/start 2. Go to Google and type in “blogger” 3. Then click “Blogger: Create your own free blog” 4. Once on the screen click on the big orange box “Create a Blog” 5. Type in the requested information 6. Then name your blog (example “World History”, “American History”, etc.)

7. Create your blog web address http://__________________.blogspot.com (you can put whatever you want in the blank) Please write down this web address so you don’t forget it.

8. Then choose a template(you can change this later if you don’t like the design you picked) 9. Then click on “Create Blog” 10. Send me your blog address when you establish your site.

11. Before you start putting content on the blog let’s practice….

12. Without closing your blog… Go to you tube and type in “Electing a President in Plain English” 13. When you click on the video there will be a tab below the video titled “embed”. Click on embed and web address will appear. Copy the entire web address.

14. Go back to your blog and click on “New Post” and then paste the embedded address into the BIG BLANK BOX. 15. You can add a subject “Electing a President in Plain English” and you can add a description below the embedded video. Once you are done click the “preview” button. If you like how it looks then click “Publish Post” 16. Click on “VIEW POST” and you have created your first blog!!!

17. Once you have done this you can edit all your posts by clicking on “Customize” at the top right hand corner. You must be logged in, in order to edit your posts.

18. Now create at least 5 blog posts and ask me questions. Remember to send me your blog address.
