System Processes Safety Trainings (Instructor-led Trainings ILT) All PA calls, conferences, safety and technical trainings will follow the following Instructor-led Training (ILT) internal process. Internal - instructors will need to be trained to do the following: 1. Instructors will log in to the LMS. (Instructors include anyone who conducts the training, attendance and assessments) 2. Instructors will conduct a search on LMS for a specific Event to create a session (training) to be completed. a. Instructors will use the Search field in the LMS to find a Event to be conducted (trainings are preloaded into the LMS and organized by Events). b. Instructor creates a Session of selected training Event on the date to which the training will occur. c. Instructor navigates to company roster (preloaded employees by location, PC# etc.) and adds attendees one at a time or by Proxy enrollment (assigned based on OU, Group, or by uploading a spreadsheet with a single column listing user IDs). d. This process populates the roster with the users selected during the proxy enrollment. e. Instructor selects the Email Notification option to alert rostered employees with links and information. Email is automatically generated by the LMS.

3. After the session ends, the Instructor or ILT Admin submits the roster which completes the course on the user’s transcript. a. Instructor completes session roster by selecting all attendees b. Instructor adds any additional notes and/or assessment results to the attendee’s completed session, which will appear on the employee’s transcript. c. Instructors run reports of completed trainings to see if anyone needs to be trained.

External Process - Trainings with assessments conducted by the LMS Employees will need to be trained to do the following: 1. Employees log in to the ESS portal and navigate to UniTek UniversityOnline link found on the ESS Welcome page (a notification email with links and information is generated by the LMS). 2. Employees view incomplete assessments as assigned by the instructor on the UniTek UniversityOnline Welcome page. 3. Employees click on the assessment title to launch the test. 4. If the training does not require an online assessment or an assessment will be administered manually by the instructor, the employee will not need to interact with the LMS. Instructor is responsible for administering and reporting results to the training through the LMS.

Curriculum Based Trainings Online, self-paced training and development programs (College of New Hire, Managers, Supervisors, Administrators, Executives, Leaders), will follow this process. Curriculum/core coursework are selected by the Senior Management Team for all employees and training programs. Courses for each curriculum can be modified throughout the year to fit the training needs of the company. Elective titles are courses selected by the employee. Internal Process - LMS administrator will need to: 1. LMS admin will create curriculum populated with course titles selected by the Senior Management Team to assign to each program. 2. LMS admin will make available the selected Elective courses as advised by the Senior Management Team. 3. Employees will have one calendar year to complete the assigned coursework and electives in each respective program. 4. The LMS admin and Senior Management Team will meet period per quarter to discuss coursework additions/omissions to each program of study.

Leadership Training Curriculum Designed for leaders and high potentials - a collection of focused resources targeting essential leadership and management skills. A series of targeted learning tracks allow our learners to acquire the mix of skills and abilities they need to successfully lead our organization now and into the future.

The LMS can track SLA content that has been accessed. Because the assets include executive summaries and blueprints and many videos, the data will show completed as soon as the content is accessed.    SLA can be taken two ways: 1. Quick track - which is a 20 minute way that learners, who are already familiar with the topics, can get a refresher 2. Full track - this is the more formal treatment of the program and includes all the assets.  The beauty of SLA is that it's flexible enough for learners to go to the assets that will have the biggest impact on their needs.  So, while they can go in a linear fashion through the program, it's not required.    Data files/results can be shown via reporting.

TrainerProcesses

Trainers can utilize Unitek University Online to report, track and log employee traning information after the training has been conducted. These processes will define the interactions between the trainer and the system to create training sessions, enroll employees into trainings, and report training results using the system.

System Vocab ‣ ILT - Instructor Led Training, means safety & technical trainings conducted in person, by a trainer. The trainer used the system to log in attendance, results and any other pertinent information. These trainings can then be tracked & reported to user transcripts. ‣ Events are instructor-led trainings that contain general information about the course, such as the description, the objectives, the vendor, and the subjects. Because there are typically many instances of one course held at different times and locations by different instructors, every Event can occur at a variety of times and places.  ‣Creating Events allows ILT trainers to avoid re-inventing the wheel every time a new instance of the same course must be scheduled.  The Event remains the constant so that the trainer has the flexibility to schedule and repeat the same learning experience an indefinite number of times, without ever re-entering the basic course information. ‣ Sessions - enable trainers to create any type of scheduled learning event. It is helpful to think of sessions as scheduled instances of instructor-led trainings. ‣ Example, an Event would be Ladder Training, a Session (of the Ladder Training Event) would be Ladder Training on Oct. 15, 2012.

‣Roster is the group(s) of employees registered to attend your training

ILT Scheduling The Scheduling Wizard allows the trainer to create more than one session part at a time, create more than one session at a time (Batch Session Creation). The schedule wizard creates a date pattern or equation. At the conclusion of completing all steps of the session creation process, multiple sessions will have cascading dates and copies parts.
