TRICH TESTING

At Gill Red Angus we maintain a consistent mineral and vaccination program. From birth to weaning, our calves receive their necessary vaccinations and remain on vitamins and minerals to aid in maintaining health as they grow. These bulls have also been poured prior to pasture and receive an oral dewormer when coming home as well as being poured again for lice. Due to S.D. not being a Trich Free state, some states require a Trich test before entering that state. Gill Red Angus will do all required tests on bulls going to said state after the sale, before delivery.

“You

Buy

Our

Bulls,

We

Will Bid on Your Calves”

Something that sets us apart from most of our competition is our Customer Service Program. Our slogan is “You buy our bulls and we will bid on your calves.” This has really helped our customers on selling day. We have run replacement heifers up as much as $15 per hundred weight! Add that up on a load of 525 lbs replacement heifers and that is an extra $7500 in your pocket. Compare that to what is offered by other seed stock producers, how can you go wrong?

Here is how it works:

3 First you must be a Gill Red Angus customer. At marketing time, contact Gill Red Angus with the marketing option you wish to pursue:

•Complete Retained Ownership

•Partial/Partnership Retained Ownership

•Livestock Auction or Off-the-Farm Marketing - Sell 100% of your calves off-the-farm or at the stockyards and a Gill staff member will be there to place a bid on them for you.

•Discounted semen available to all customers who want to AI.

•Discounted vet supplies through DeTye Vet Supply.

3 When possible, we will work with our customers to help form co-mingled loads of calves. Upon harvest, if possible, Gill Red Angus will prepare a report, complete with feed yard and harvest data, for your use.

3 We are also available for consultations regarding breeding, replacement heifer procurement, and all marketing options. We will help you in any way we can to make your bottom dollar grow.

This guy earned his spot in the sale as a top Jumpstart son who “jumped” through all the hoops. He is long, and thick, with a good frame and great bone. He also has a a great mother who is easy keeping, has a good udder and feet, and has a 102 MPPA.

We held a customer appreciation supper in October where we gave cattle tours in the afternoon along with a steak supper and speakers that evening. Doug Sheppard of Sheppard Feeding, the Red Angus Association, and Breedr each gave a small talk on marketing options and their opinions of the market.
