Sport and Rehabilitation Center

LOCATION: RIYADH, KSA TOTAL LAND AREA: 50,000M2P ROJECT DESCRIPTION: The project mainly consists of two main zones: First, the medical rehabilitation center for injured athletes. It is designed and prepared for minor surgery operations as well as physiotherapy facilities and the patients rooms. The second part is the sport center which contains all different types of indoor and outdoor sports. It is open for public users as well as the rehab patients. Sport events can take place in the stadium with the capacity of 700 users.


The project is located near WADI HANIFAH in Riyadh city -KSA. The location is known for its calm and peaceful environment as well as the variety of local trees and farms and moderate temperature comparing to the other areas of the city. Therefore, the location offers a unique place where people can escape from the crowded city life and daily routine into more healing and relaxing environment.. The design of the project and its landscape was inspired by the organic nature of Wadi Hnifah ,so the design aims to complement this nature and not going against it. The buildings design gives its users the feeling of meting into nature.

Facade Treatments: The location of the project is close to the famous historical city Al Diriyah. Therefore, the style of the buildings adapted the old architecture heritage of Riyadh showing respect to the surrounding buildings and considering the site forces. The triangular shape of the openings in the Saudi heritage was abstracted and applied in the design according to the function and the needs of the interior spaces with taking into consideration the new technologies and the contemporary style of the area

The design of the medical rehab aimed to ease the circulation around the building with the shortest distance possible to reach the facilities. Therefore, the circulation corridors are designed mainly around a closed loop passing through the different medical departments. The horizontal and vertical circulation are arranged around two interior courtyards exposed to the interior by transparent glazing in order to create healthy and aesthetically pleasing environment.

Wadi Nemar Extension Park Group Work of 3 students

LOCATION: RIYADH, KSA TOTAL LAND AREA: 40,000M2 PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The concept of the project mainly came out from the context. The environment of the location is composed of water surface and rock mountains. Hence, the design will combine between the rigidness of the rocks and flow of the water which will create an interesting contradiction. It also aims to create a place where visitors can explore the space from different perspectives which is achieved by varying the heights of the paths. Also, all the landscape furniture follow the same concept of rigidness and smoothness. Concept Sketches: Benches that follow the same concept of combining the rigidness and the flow of water surround all the green areas of the park. So, it suits all the different users, and trees cast shadow and creates pleasing environment. The park is raised several levels above the water surface to protect the park in the case of flooding. The se steps can be used as seating benches that overlook the water surface of the wadi. So, people enjoy the view of the valley and see the park from various perspectives.


The lines of the park combine both the rigidness and the smoothness to express the concept. These lines divide the park into various functions and creates paths for both pedestrians and cyclists. The existing rocks of the wadi can be used to create waterfalls that seems naturally existing. This obstructed flow of water creates a refreshing atmosphere. However, people interacts with the water features and enjoy the breeze they crate.

SEATING The seating area is elevated at a higher level to ensure getting different view without any obstructions. Also, it protects the visitors in case of flooding. These steps also functions as benches for people to rest while waking. The seating design is derived from the concept, it combines the curves with edgy corners.

BENCHES In order to serve all the users in a comfortable way, the benches were designed with different heights, which surround the green areas.

WATER FALL Our vision to connect the design with the environment is strongly represented in the waterfalls that come out from the rocks of the terrain.

BRIDGE The bridge connects the existing park with the extension. It gives the visitor to explore the park from different perspectives. It is divided into three levels, each level has its own function to server the different users (Cyclists, Runners, Pedestrian). At the end of the journey on the bridge, a beautiful small restaurant welcome the visitors which is a need missing in the previous design.

BARBEQUE EQUIPMENT To avoid the problem of the annoying smell and smoke of barbeque, a special location of barbeque area is designed, so people can enjoy barbeque without bothering others.

STEPPING STONE The interaction between people and water is a nice experience that is achieved by our design of the stepping stone on a shallow water surface.

Cultural Center in Riyadh

Project Location: Diplomatic Quarter-Riyadh-KSA Project Description: The design of the mosque combined the traditional architectural element in a modern urban context considering the peoples’ mentality and perception of what a mosque is Therefore, the form of the building together with the landscape speak about the identity of Islam and Muslims. The mosque incorporates different functions besides being a place for prayer, so the project is considered to be a religious complex where various activities and social interactions can take place. Also, the building is designed smartly to meet high standards and the concept of sustainable design.

Residential Villa Design

Project Location: Diplomatic Quarter-Riyadh-KSA Project Description: The residential villa is designed for medium to large family size. It mainly consists of 4 master bedrooms located on the upper floor. The L shape configuration of the design aims to maintain the privacy of the residence while enjoying the outdoor court of the house. Shallow swimming pool located opposite to the kitchen and the living room to create aesthetically pleasing environment and cool down the breeze before entering the house.
