History of the Wall of Honor

12 | Wall of Honor 2017

The Wall of Honor was established at the African American Historical Cultural Museum in 1996. It is sponsored by the State Center Community College District to recognize the contributions of outstanding African-Americans affiliated with the district. Those inducted onto the Wall of Honor must have either attended, worked, or served State Center Community College District at one of its colleges, centers or districts. The district includes Fresno City College, Reedley College, Clovis Community College, Madera Community College Center and Oakhurst Community College Center. Each year a committee of college, district and community leaders accept nominations for the Wall of Honor and selects the inductees. State Center Community College District, under the direction of the Board of Trustees and Interim Chancellor Dr. Bill F. Stewart, is proud to be part of the African American Historical and Cultural Museum.
