DESIGN BRIEF- The project aims to offer remedial intervention in the form of special education, occupational therapy and counseling to special children in the school. The main objective of the project is not to isolate them from the normal crowd of the school, the co-curricular block is commonly used by special and normal children.

BACKGROUND RESEARCH

- Natural lighting and natural environment (Indoor and outdoor connect)

- There should be a less of distractions around in terms of color, sound etc.

- Therapies such as speech and language therapy, occupational need specific rooms.

- Dance, music, art, sports and drama (used as therapy) also require specific rooms.

- Specific classrooms for individual attention.

- Staff area for the staff working in the centre.

- Waiting area for parents.

- Accessible washrooms for children.

- Cognitive learning (play way of learning in the school)

- No sharp edges (furniture and other equipments)

DESIGN BRIEF- To design a yurt in Mongolia for two activities exercising and dressing

STRUCTURE OF YURT

Lattice of a yurt is divided into sections, called khana. Each khana is a collapsible series of crisscrossed wooden poles.

Roof of a yurt is the most complex part of the structure. The central part of the roof is called the crown. Crown is a ring to which roof poles are attached. The roof is made of straight poles attached to the circular crown.
