Thiruvananthapuram is the capital city. It is because at this place the confluence of three mountain rivers takes place. It is pronounced as Moon-aar.They meet in the center of the town and areMudrapuzha, Nallathanni, and Kundala. Situated at an altitude of 1600 m above sea level, its salubrious climate with the laidback atmosphere and the scenic sight will give a soothing effect to your mind and body. It is surrounded by gently undulating hills of the Annamalai Range with abundant of flora and fauna. Anamudi, south India’s highest peak, at 2695 meter is a part of this range.
