Southampton Maritime Maintenance Depot (SMMD)
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a T&RS Depot Manager at one of Freightliner’s busiest Port Operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for the direct control of the inspection, maintenance and repair of all Freightliner Intermodal traction and rolling stock at Southampton with some outstation responsibilities. Reporting directly to the General Manager Port Operations and working closely with the Freightliner Fleet Engineer, candidates will be committed to meeting the output targets set by the business. The successful applicant will also be responsible for the SMMD Budget, conduct full investigation of any incidents and make recommendations. This is a safety critical post and the post holder will be subject to occupational medicals, and screenings. We are looking for a self-motivated individual who can demonstrate strong leadership skills. In addition the successful candidate will have been educated to a HND/HNC level engineering or equivalent.
