Golden Jubilee Park

The site is located in the heart of Delhi on the road connecting Old Delhi to New Delhi. The development is aimed at amalgamating the revival of the river culture of the old city with

CONCEPT On its way from the glaciers to the ocean a river experiences many cultures, terrains and overcomes many challenges

A human follows the same philosophy in the way of life.The whole point of this space is to bring these two entities, a human and the river together

So, through the design we’ve portrayed this philosophy inspired from the form of the RIVER.


3 STAGE WATER TREATMENT PLANT WITH SCREENING ANDBIOSEDIMENTATION PROCESSES FOR REMOVAL OF SOLID WASTE AND ODOUR OF WATER WATER CANAL FLOWING IN THE HEART OF SITE IS FOR RELAXATION AND IS A SYMBOL OF ANCIENT IDEOLOGY OF WATER BODY BEING THE HEART OF CIVILIZATION THE LIFE REVOLVES AROUND IT

OVER WATER PROMENADE FOR VISITOR TO ENJOY THE WATERS OF YAMUNA AND RECONNECT WITH THEIR HERITAGE

HOUSING AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT

SITE The site is located in laregely residential area of West Delhi. SHYAM NAGAR The site is adjacent to the Pacific Mall and surrounded by LIG and MIG residences on one side . There are many upcoming malls and offices in Rajouri Garden which is just 5 minutes away from the site and the nearest metro station is only 500 metres from the site.

PROBLEMS IN SLUM REDEVELOPMENT HOUSING IN INDIA Transit camp are located far from the working area and are in bad condition.

There is no incolvement of slum dwellers in design process.

There is no provision for community gathering.

Slum dwellers don’t possess tenure right.

People leave their houses or give them on rent as they aren’t comfortable with their new houses.

There is no particular skill found in them. Thats why there is no scope of employment.

CONCEPT Our design stratergy follows a more interactive process. It cant be achieved by vertically stacking of the modules. But requires a complex process of design theories and stratergies given by the slum dwellers "THE ITERATIVE DESIGN" SITE EVOLUTION

The incremental space gives apt space for another room for larger and expandable families. Our design provides them with a free floor plan in which gives them the freedom of planning on their own with their basic needs and requirements.

Their social interaction is limited to the neighbouring households.

HIGHER INCOME GROUP The HIG planning strategy promotes privacy and minimum interaction. The module is luxirious and well finished to create a feeling oppulence, spaceiousness and grandeur. Hierarchy of semi-public, semi-private and private spaces has been followed. Also, the semi private spaces act as transition volumes.

FEATURES Rain water harvesting: Water channels have been provided at the roof of each shop, which funnel the rain water which can be used in times of need by the shopkeepers. Ventilation: The ventilators have been provided at the rear edge of the shop, channeling the smoke away from spaces which customers shall mostly occupy. Intelligent Storage Spaces: Storage racks have been provided at the top and bottom of the counter, strategically within immediate reach of the shopkeeper, evidently catalyzing his work efficiency.

The Inherent programmatic split,of core clinic functions, waiting areas and are arranged as 2 concentric layers creating a “building within a building�.

Circulation around a rectangular form is the Best way possible for a Public Health Building.

SECTION The double skin building concept creates a shaded climatic buffer around the PHC.

FEATURES An additional outdoor layer of varied cultivated landscapes further helps create an aesthetic climatic buffer that controls glare and dust. This in conjunction with excellent cross ventilation through the single banked structure via moistened local Vetiver thatch outer screens. It would keep the interior cool through evaporative cooling during severe dry tropical summers
