Knitting and noshing Klezmer weaves together the worlds of fiber arts and Jewish culture MINNEAPOLIS, MN (June 3, 2010) – Local Jewish band Eisner Klezmorim will bring culture and creativity to StevenBe: A Yarn Garage Workshop on Sunday, June 27, 2010 from 3:30-6 p.m. Fiber fanatics are invited to bring their families for an evening of music, snacks, and laughter for all ages. Judith Eisner, avid knitter and the violinist of Eisner’s Klezmorim, proposed the event that is “knot” to be missed. The ensemble consists of a clarinet, violin, accordion, bass, and tsimbl, and will be playing old world klezmer tunes, “right from your grandma's wedding,” said Eisner. With klezmer, jokes and plenty of bagels, the night is sure to keep the audience in stitches. Admission is $25, which includes a seat, the show and snacks. ABOUT – StevenBe: A Yarn Garage Workshop is a new concept in the needle arts and a multipurpose fiber arts studio offering instruction, supplies, collaboration and special programming to members and the general public.
