HAYDOX TIMBER LADDERS Made to British Standard BS 1129, INDUSTRIAL DUTY Max safe working load 175kg (27.5 stones); Duty Rating 130kg The strongest UK category. These ladders are built for the most rugged and frequent use.

POLE LADDER BUILD SPECIFICATION. • • •

Stiles must consist of poles sawn on their longitudinal axis. Minimum dimensions of finished stiles shall be as detailed in the table below. No odd stiles to be matched. Minimum width between stiles as per table below.

RUNGS. •

Rungs to be spaced between 250 mm and 300 mm apart. (Exceptions allowable 125 - 130 mm for top and bottom rungs). All rungs to be a minimum diameter of 32 mm i.e. 1.1/4”.

TIE RODS. • • •

Tie rods to be placed directly under the rung as follows: Super ladder: reinforced every rung. Standard ladder: reinforced every fourth rung.

POLE LADDER LOG. Min.

SURFACE CHECKS. Not exceeding 130 mm long by 1.5 mm wide providing they do not run out to the edge.

RESIN POCKETS. These are permitted providing length is not 1.1/2 times the width of the face on which they occur, and the width does not exceed 3 mm and depth does not extend to opposite face.

MOISTURE CONTENT. 16% to 22%

RUNGS. Free from knots. Grain not steeper than 1 in 10.
