Race to a Million Here’s $500, now go turn it into $1,000,000 before July 1st, 2011. That’s the challenge given to five teams of entrepreneurs, business owners and university students in a new entrepreneurial social reality show called the Race to a Million. A real money making contest, the show will benefit participants, charities and fans alike.

“Our goal is to create an innovative and engaging show that is fun, profitable for everyone and socially responsible,” Co-Founder Peter Cameron-Inglis.

Team members receive an equal share of the money raised over the life of the contest, with one share of the prize money going to the charity of their choice. The more money earned, the more money shared. Every investment must be ethical and leave a financial foot print. Social and environmental sustainability and sound financial management are key factors in each team’s success. Please visit http://www.racetoamillion.ca.

An interactive fan base Race to a Million was designed to encourage interaction between fans of the show and the contestants themselves. Fans can follow along on the website blog, Twitter, You Tube videos, Facebook and on Shaw TV. Fans are encouraged to contribute money making ideas of their own to win prizes. Ideas presented on the show or in the blog are available for anyone to use. The show will include business tips, team updates, sponsor spotlights and entrepreneurial success stories, making Race to a Million both entertaining and educational.

Program Goals The goal of Race to a Million is to: Encourage and support entrepreneurial success Prove the effectiveness of working together and idea sharing Demonstrate that sustainable business practices can be profitable Show that ‘Nice People Can Finish First’
