Introduction In this E-book, I will provide information that I have prepared to demonstrate the differing needs of visitors, with dissimilar motivations. I will select two types of inbound visitors with diverse motivations, as well as two types of domestic visitors with unlike motivations. To get across my findings, I will precisely describe their needs in terms of: access to information, accommodation; including the cost and standards, as well as transport, accessibility, customer service, value of money and activities. As a result, I will demonstrate the differing needs of visitors with different motivations in this e-book.
What is Inbound Tourism? Inbound tourism is when a person enters a country from their own home, or from another country which is not their home. For example, a
couple living in Barcelona travelling to England for the weekend. What is Domestic tourism? This is when people take holidays, short breaks and day trips within their own country. For
example, a family in Birmingham enjoying a twoweek holiday in Brighton.
Two types of inbound visitors:
A couple (40s) from Japan is visiting all the capital cities of the UK. They will fly in and would like to travel by train. They do not speak English. A group of students from the USA are to take part in a sporting event as well as visiting some places of interest. Such as a theme park for one day. They will fly into the UK and then travel by coach. They will be staying for a week. They would also like a hotel to stay at.
