Hajj E. Flemings Personal Brand Management Consultant Hajj is a dynamic, energetic speaker that connects with his audience to inspire and challenge them to reach their hidden potential. Hajj a former collegiate basketball player lifelong dream of designing footwear for Nike which followed with a series of rejection letters and span a period of 6years before a major footwear company (New Balance) gave him an opportunity. This fueled his desire to design footwear and to be a success in life. During his college years Hajj accomplished many things one of which was his design of the equator cross-trainer sneaker for Mavada Footwear. Since its inception in 1992 the Equator has been the most successful selling sneaker for Mavada. In 1993 he was the first African-American student from Michigan Tech to be selected for Who's Who in American Colleges & Universities. He graduated from Michigan Technological University with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and later attained his MBA from Lawrence Technological University. Hajj works at Ford Motor Company as a Quality Engineer. With a wealth of experience in product development and account management through New Balance, DaimlerChrysler and Ford, Hajj has translated his experiences into greater business opportunities and has started two companies the Broken Chains Design Group, Inc. (BCDG) and the Brand YU life. BCDG has a clientele that includes Skechers Footwear, Lear Corporation, as well as various colleges and universities. Their advertising and design work has been featured in GQ, Men's Health, Slam, and Maxim magazines. He also teaches at his alma mater Michigan Technological University where he serves as a Adjunct Lecturer in In Engineering Fundamental department instructing classes on the subject matter of personal branding. He currently, travels as a motivational speaker and conducts seminars and workshops and speaks to companies, organizations on personal brand management, leadership, and success. His passion is to enable people, businesses, and brands to create their signature.
