Season Summary: The Quinnipiac women’s basketball team advanced to the Northeast Conference tournament for the 12th consecutive year after posting an overall record of 2210, including a 13-5 mark in Northeast Conference play. The Bobcats opened the year with consecutive losses before winning nine of its next ten, including victories against Minnesota and St. Mary’s (Calif.) to win the Concord Hilton St. Mary’s Thanksgiving Classic. They then won 11 of their next 13 games before an NEC Semifinal loss to Monmouth. The Bobcats competed in the WNIT for the second time in four years. Season Summary: The Quinnipiac men’s basketball team played in its third consecutive postseason national tournament, as they traveled to Philadelphia to face Penn in the College Basketball Invitational (CBI) tournament.The Bobcats had a strong December as they opened NEC play with wins in six of eight conference games, while reproducing the same run in February. After a convincing win against St. Francis (N.Y.) in the NEC Quarterfinals, the Bobcats fell to eventual NEC Tournament Champion LIU Brooklyn. Season Summary: The Quinnipiac men’s ice hockey team finished the 2011-12 season with an overall record of 20-14-6, including a 9-8-5 record in ECAC Hockey, for its 11th 20-win season in the program’s 14 year history at the Division I level. The Bobcats defeated Dartmouth in the ECAC Hockey Tournament First Round, extending their run as the only team to win a league playoff round in each year since Quinnipiac joined ECAC Hockey. They would advance to the ECAC Hockey Championship Quarterfinals where they forced a deciding third game at Colgate, before their season ultimately came to an end.
