Wisconsin Geological and Natural History Survey From explosive volcanoes, to tropical seas and glaciers; learn about the big events in Wisconsin's geologic past by using geologists' tools to collect observations from rocks, minerals and fossils and learn about their importance in constructing Wisconsin's buildings and roads. This activity includes the opportunity to get close to a real working drill rig and examine rock core samples taken from beneath the Bencarrie quarry.
