Actress Producer Acting Coach

A mainstay in the world of Film and Television, Jazsmin has appeared on nearly every noteworthy sitcom and drama in her fifteen year career. Her tireless efforts helped her gain recognition, landing roles in big budget studio films and independent alike, amassing an impressive eighteen silver screen successes to her credit. Most recently starring as the lead in "Three can play that game," the sequel to the hit movie "Two can play that game" starring Vivica A. Fox. Vivica returns again as the mentor to a troubled couple figuring out their relationship. Amazingly, Jazsmin didn’t dream of becoming an actor as a little girl. Prompted by her father to learn to read and write music at a very young age, she fell in love with the craft, reserving her acting skills for school and church plays. As a product of an interracial couple (Caucasian mother and African American/East Indian father) Jazsmin felt music was a way to be accepted by everyone. Astonishingly, at three Lewis conquered the piano, at eleven the bass guitar and twelve the drums. With this, her trek to stardom began before her first day of elementary school. Lewis was a success as a singer and musician by age fifteen, having toured as a singer and bass player with Roger Troutman and Zapp, Gladys Knight, George Clinton, The Ohio Players and a host of others. By Age Twenty, becoming tired of the road and missing her family, she decided to move forward with her first love. She auditioned and landed her first job on the television hit sitcom "Martin" while in its last season. Making quite the impression, she was sought after to guest star on “In the House," Family Matters," "Sparks," "The Wayans Bros." to name a few. This prompted a call for her first feature film; "How to be a Player." Simultaneously, within a year she landed her first role as a regular in a series on the UPN sitcom “Good News” as the loveable Venita Stansbury. Setting her sights to dramas, Lewis landed roles on the prominent episodic likes of "Baywatch nights,” and "Martial Law” and later joined the critically acclaimed ABC hit "Line of Fire.” In 2002, Jazsmin was noticed by a casting director who requested she play alongside Ice Cube as his wife, Jennifer Palmer in a career defining "Barbershop." Soon after earning record breaking numbers for an Urban Film, the original cast filmed the sequel with Lewis playing Mrs. Palmer once again in “Barbershop 2.” "Fortunately, I was never out of work," says the former Coors Light spokes-model. "I never had what actors call that "dry Spell", which is great. But it’s kind of strange, because we all know its’ coming. Everyone has it. It’s just how you handle yourself when it happens." Jazsmin has been in recurring roles on "Eve," "All of Us," and have appeared on "Half and Half," as well as films like "Deliver Us from Eva" and Mario Van Pebbles’ film about the life of his father (Badd Ass). Most recently she filmed "Wifey" starring her "Eve" co-star Brian Hooks, "Traci Townsend," where Lewis Plays the title character Traci Townsend, "Flip the Script" (Miguel Nunez, Robin Givens, Mel Jackson) and the very controversial film "One Bad Habit," where Jazsmin plays a drug addicted, lesbian, hit woman - teaming up once again with director Preston Whitmore after the 2005 "Doing Hard Time" also starring Boris Kodjoe. A self made business woman, the beauty and brains behind her own production company; Lewis easily makes herself one of Tinsletown’s most valuable players. Without fear or favor this Cleveland born bombshell has done it her way. With several films in the works through her own production company Feliine Entertainment, Lewis is more than just accepting her role and playing the part, she is defining it and making it her own.
