JUNE TIP OF THE MONTH Welcome to June! Do you know of anyone graduating or getting ready to PCS? June is a month full of transitions and celebrations. Getting ready for change, especially when that means leaving friends or valuable support systems, can be stressful. In the FOCUS program, we support families and couples in learning healthy ways to express emotions and promote positive outlets. These learned tools become helpful not only during transitions, but throughout life. Contact FOCUS about supporting a smooth transition into the summer months. Don’t just get by, get stronger!

FOCUS services are available for active duty service members and their family or partner via the virtual TeleFOCUS program, allowing families and couples to meet with a FOCUS Provider through video teleconference. We have also begun to reoffer our services by appointment in our local office if you prefer in person sessions. FOCUS sessions allow families and couples to build their own story about military life experiences. This helps them to: • Build on current strengths • Feel closer and more supported • Identify, manage, and discuss emotions • Use problem-solving and goal-setting to empower the entire family • Clarify misunderstandings and respect individual points of view To register, email Quantico@focusproject.org

For a full listing of FOCUS Sites, visit: http://focusproject.org/contact For more information about TeleFOCUS, visit: https://focusproject.org/telefocus
