WELCOME It is our great joy to welcome you to our 2021-22 season From the New World! We are so proud to be a part of the Quad Cities’ diverse and culturally rich community, a place we have called home for 106 years. The musicians of the Quad City Symphony and I are so grateful for your support of us and our music this past year. You showed us how important music is to our community, and inspired us to keep that music alive. As we are truly entering the new world of postpandemic life, we invite you back into the concert halls to experience the power of live music to uplift humanity and heal our souls. Our varied season has an enormous amount to offer with dynamic Masterworks programs, enchanting movie concerts, Up Close chamber music concerts, and our annual party along the river - Quad City Bank & Trust Riverfront Pops. TESTIMONIALS My instructor has great lessons every time and teaches me about everything in the piece I am playing. My instructor teaches me new things and how to improve bowing and makes it fun. My thirteen year old daughter has experienced a huge boost of confidence in her journey towards mastery with the oboe this year. Her teacher has been a wonderful guide and support. Lessons have been conducted in a safe and secure environment. We are so glad we chose the QCSO PLP! The QCSO private lessons program continues to be an outstanding experience for our child. Carolyn Van de Velde is excellent and lessons are focused and very productive! Carolyn provides really insightful feedback and demonstrates how to perform techniques and grow.
